To Hakurei:
Because that Yuurara was in Australia after last January and She came back 10 months ago, for that we are friends, I missed her. But this time, when the exhibition is about over, I want to take a photo with her, but she said that she don't want to. I don't know why she said this, is that she dislike to wear a shrine maiden uniform?

To Momiji:
Yuurara said this as well, it's too short and too sexy. But it is Koumajou set.

To Satori:
Probably I am not suitable to be a trans-gender, but due to my skin is well and I am named as "Lord of Angels" because I am the host of Angel Online, many members want me to dress like angel even that with female clothings. Somehow, I think of that my height 6 fts that is not suitable, but this can't stop them.

At last, I want to say, Jan 14th, I will still make a costume as Youki but not Koumajou Reimu, I don't want to show it in exhibition hall. I will show you the photos as well.

Juuuuuust about done with Fleet Admiral Yang. A couple quick touch-ups and then a badge and I'm done. The 'biggest' touch-up involves sewing the remainder of a pocket in place. Said remainder is about 4 inches long. My bobbin ran out with a third of a foot to go for an entire project.  :smokedcheese:

Mm, a few more crossplayers? All CureCos, so it'd help to have an account...
Byakuren cosplayer's CureCos account. He recently does a lot of IDOLM@STER, and not much Touhou. He's actually a normal guy when he doesn't cosplay, which is neat. (Unlike the guy below.)
This is just my junior at my university, but then this guy doesn't count because he looks like a girl to begin with. xD

And then, there are few that are not as good as the above, but pretty good. But the thing you see here, is that the picture/cosplay quality affects how well you look. Like some of these guys look better in one cosplay than another.
Another friend of mine. He's not been able to cosplay so much recently due to his job.
The cosplaying professor. He was at AX10 as the really tall Sakuya, so maybe some of you have seen him.
Then there's me, but I don't have very many good photos.

Yeah, there is a lot of Photoshop, and simple photography tricks as well.

In terms of the build, the only things unfavorable as a guy, I feel are the shoulders and the waist. (Breasts and butts you can add on. ^^; ) But you can't narrow your shoulders, and you can only narrow your waist using a corset when it isn't exposed. (And there are a lot of characters with bellybuttons exposed, fortunately not many in Touhou.) Also, the muscular types need to hide the arms if you want to look like a girl.

There are also 2 popular wig tricks... one is to have your bangs cut so it just hides your brows.  This helps if you have thick brows and cannot trim them for some reason.  Second is to have a little bit of hair on the side of your cheeks and glue it on with clear eye-lash glue or any adhesive that dries clear + won't hurt your skin. The side hair will cover up protruding cheek bones or any male looking facial contours if done correctly. See the Byakuren photo again to see what I'm talking about.

I erm, just passing through because someone linked me here.
I... my heart sort of skipped a few beats and then beat harder than before by thirty times.
DAT BYAKUREN.
dear god. my heart...

And because of that one picture I am now on Curecos
also this one made me swooooon
please do not be mislead by my profile page, there is nothing 'After School Neko-boy about me'
damn it/
I also found Skye there, http://en.curecos.com/profile/?ch=299905 I saw her sometime ago before on 4chan /jp/ before and I really liked them gothic Miku.
now I just need to learn how to refine the use of this community and find more gothic Mikus. Alternatively, anyone here can gothic Miku cosplay? I have my camera ready.

All these traps are making me HNGGGGGGGG. Its hard to beleive those are really males. Might have to join Curecos is this continues.

As for my own cosplay, about to go on a trip to the fabric store when BAM I sprain my ankle. Now i'm being a wuss and won't go outside.

For now I'll just leave a quick doodle I made.
Will probably change this up because I feel it looks odd in some places.

I suppose it can help you guys look more like a real Touhou.

God dammit.

Speaking of Byakuren, I went out to the fabric store to get the pattern that the need for Byakuren's dress and jacket, as well as some material like some lace and a zipper. Probably once I can work out the pattern, I'll go back for the actual fabric. :V

Oh and, should I make Byakuren's cape? It shouldn't be to hard to make, but I don't think it will be that noticeable on the full costume. (Considering it will be hidden by my hair and stuff.)

Actually, I saw a Byakuren at the anime con my old college holds, and the cape was still noticeable.  Might be worth testing with something random you have lying around or something first to be sure, but you never know!  Either way, people will see it from behind probably even with the hair, right?

As someone who thinks "PERFECT COSPLAY IS THE BEST COPLAY. DRESS TO IMPRESS" I would say yes but its up to you. The cape would be noticed by most people so I don't beleive it would be a waste. How long will the hair be? Long enough to cover all of your back?

My hair is long enough to cover all of my back, so I will probably just work on the costume for now and decide if I should add in the cape when everything's done.

My dad and I went shopping a few days ago and picked up this sweet jacket thing, which is actually perfect for Byakuren's jacket. (It's really soft too~) The only sewing that will need to be done to this would be the white ribbons on the sleeves, the black ribbon for the strap things in the middle and some lace to dangle off the bottom.

I think this weekend my dad and I are going to try and mock up a dress from the patterns we already cut out. So uh, yay.  :V
