> "I can go on-" Buckle in midair.
> "... If you don't mind." Blushblush.
> You buckle midair...maybe Yuugi should carry you after all.
>
bluuush> "'Kay, then." Yuugi sweeps you into her arms. "Let's go home."
> The two of you jump into the tunnel.
> The tunnel hasn't changed at all, even after being cleared out. Still, it feels familiar. The quiet darkness, the cool rocks, and even new spiderwebs that dot the walls. It's very hard not to fall asleep, but you want to stay awake for a little bit longer, at least.
> At one point, you hear the very familiar sound of a bucket smacking against the wall. Yamame and Kisume must have been able to return back here after all.
> Going home is normal. The second you reach the bridge, something clicks.
> You're home. For real, this time. You've done a shrine maiden's work, but it feels like a huge burden has been lifted from your back.
> Yuugi ends up staying the night. She insists that she makes dinner, and the night passes by quietly. You end up falling asleep in her arms, too tired to stay awake.
> Needless to say, you don't have any nightmares that night.
> The next day, after Yuugi has gone back to her own house, the first thing you do is go have tea with Yamame and Kisume. Yamame is more or less thrilled to hear everything you have to say about the incident, listening to you speak with unending enthusiasm. The two of you are equally shocked, however, when Kisume lets out a sudden giggle when you're talking about the events leading up to your fight with Hina.
> You nearly have a heart attack later that day when Sanae and Kogasa come stampeding across the bridge. Looks like Konngara let them go, after all.
> One day, you and some others underground get an invitation for a festival celebrating the winter equinox.
> There are so many people at the festival, most of which you don't recognize. You notice Konngara there, but she keeps to herself. The only people she approaches are Kaguya, Eirin, and Sanae, but that's it.
> You also notice that Kikuri isn't there, but would she really be invited to a festival after the trouble she caused?
> The festival also happens to fall on the full moon, and you see that Keine
does indeed have horns when in hakutaku form. The headbutt she gives Yuugi after a few drinks is something you're never, ever going to forget. Mokou actually starts laughing so hard that Kaguya punches her in the back of the head to shut her up. Then they start to fight, and it ends with the discovery that like Mokou, Kaguya is unable to die. Eirin gives the two of them a good talking-to.
> Ran and Chen visit a few times. Mokou visits rarely, and while you notice that there seems to be friction between her and Yuugi, you largely ignore it.
> One day, you get a note.
> "Yo! I heard about how you helped out during the incident, ze. Thanks, ze, you really saved us there. - Kirisame Marisa"
> You can't help but smile a little.
> The weeks turn to months, and as life returns to as it was before, the fluffy-winged girl escapes from your mind. You only remember her when you come across the drawing you made of her a few months ago. You don't really feel like punching her anymore. The drawing is hung up on your wall, if only to serve as an example of your drawing abilities.
> Yuugi takes a look at it when she visits that night. She doesn't recognize it, but she says it's a good drawing, and wraps her arms around you.
> Really, no matter what happened, this is proof that your efforts lead to something good.
