If you went in and started complimenting her singing and the stand, she would've probably been more than happy to just give you the oil. Keep that in mind next time we meet a customer or a business partner. Well, we got the torches, what should we do now?"

You journey out to the cave and stand in front of the entrance.

"So what now? These aren't lit."

You gather sticks and tinder to build a small fire, but still have nothing to light it with.

You go on back home and to  take some matches and hurry back to the cave.

On a side note, in the future, can we not use items in the house because I want the game to be more focused on the inventory, not whatever's lying around the house.

Point, but there's also the aspect of things people would logically have onhand. For instance, I notice our inventory doesn't seem to contain our clothing...

You light up the torches and walk carefully into the cave looking around. A little ways in, the moss on the wall stops and just become wet rock. The ground is gravelly and hard. Once you go a distance in, the cave opens up into a huge cavern. You hear a voice from up above you.

"Hello? Who's there?

"A wanderer huh? Don't see too many of those wandering down here with torches and a... fairy? You aren't an ordindinary wanderer."

From up above, you see a girl desend from the ceiling on spiderwebs.

"You want some silk threads? Meaning my webs? What for?"

She jumps back up in the shadows and reappears a moment later holding a very generous length of web.

"Here you go, freshly spun. Some of the strongest thread in Gensokyo. It's not often I get such polite visitors."

Tear leans over and whispers to you, "Should we give her something? It was really nice of her to do that for us."

"My name's Yamame, I hope to see you again soon!" she calls out while disappearing from view.

You see the torches are starting to fizzle.

You turn back to exit the cave. During the trip, the torch starts to die and you light the other one on it. By the time you leave the cave, this one dies too.

She answers,
"Oh good to see you, and I see you have the web. Come on in."

You walk in and take a seat on the couch.

"Was it much trouble to get the web?"
