>To be honest, it's really more comparing to this youkai's. Which may be worse. But wouldn't Satori be used to that with these kind of neighbors?

>"Oh, you oughta be fine," says Nue. "Yuugi and Deva K respect each other a lot. If she said otherwise, she was just making sure she had her bases covered."

>You have no clue whatsoever. Satori didn't seem too worried, though.
>"Oh, it's fun," says Nue. "Dancing whenever you like, good music, and if you sling drinks, you'll never go poor.  Well...not never. But you'll always been able to keep yourself fed. Mind, you gotta be ready to get in some scraps if you want to really get anywhere,.but that's not too bad if you know your spellcards well."

On the other hand, we don't even know enough about spellcards to know that we shouldn't ask that obvious question, you realize =/

"Getting into scraps" is enough context to infer that it's related to combat. We weren't entirely effective on that count last time.

>"What's she like?"
>"And are there any other important people around here that it would be good to know about?"

>"Right now?" Nue frowns. "Alternating between moody and explosively violent. The hell crow's trying to muscle in on her girl, you see. And it's gonna get nasty. Surprised it hasn't yet, actually."
>"Well, there's the Palace of the Earth Spirits," she says, "That's where Utsuho, the Hell Cat, and Satori come from. They're friendly, for the most part, but a bit weird. You probably met Parsee at the bridge. Well, maybe you didn't? I hear she's not showing her face much lately. There's some other big names around, but those are the biggest."

>You think you can see the bridge, way down the road. Or at the what look like the city gates. You're kinda lost track of the way back while talking with Nue.
>"It's on the west side" says Nue, "Up against the cavern wall. Can't miss it, big fancy thing. It's kinda going out of style, thank heaven."

>You shouldn't do that. Parsers have bastard memories.
>"Parsee's weird," says Nue, quirking her lips. "She's got this ability to mess with envy, but she doesn't use it much. And she's kinda passive aggressive. Except for when she's aggressive aggressive. But if you get on her good side, you really get on her good side. Kinda like an oni, only more neurotic. She gets carried away easily. Probably what got her into this mess."
>Nue shakes her head. "Probably not, I don't think her mind would be on it."
