Japan=Disappointment isn't anything new, I guess! :P

Anyway, I guess I'll go with Italy and Brazil, mostly because they're Italy and Brazil.
Sapz: Yeah, the time zones are kind of inconvenient for us on this side of the ocean.

Italy failure. Again.
I don't even care if they manage to make a comeback and win (like they just tied). It's just so different from before... ugh.

PD: Congrats to Paraguay for being spectacularly awesome.

Well, I arrived late and support for Brazil 3-0 C-d-I

What the heeeeeeeeell

Kaka so very obviously used his arm as support (okay maybe the first was an accident, the ball fell on his hand, but the second was definitely on purpose), that goal should not count >:|

All the officiating nonsense that comes out of this World Cup will hopefully bring it out of the stone age and, at least for worldwide tournaments that are supposed to showcase teams at their best, have a fair championship that isn't blighted by blind/biased/dishonest referees.

In short, international soccer's a joke sport until they bring in some sort of dispute/challenge system involving the cameras and provide hefty penalties to anyone caught diving.

Makes cricket a much better sport when there's a dispute with the umpire.

Unfortunately FIFA wants the time to always keep on running, making some of this hard to implement =/.

Kaka's red card was bullshit. But the goal was awesome. Too awesome for the hand ball to be seen 8)

Uuuhhh... no.
If I remember correctly, it was tried to be implemented in Italy. As far as I'm concerned, it didn't work out.
Of course, after the match, any referees doing shit on field, they're gonna receive some kicks from the higher levels.
And even then... it just would turn into Football because pretty much EVERYONE would make calls more annoying than any vuvuzela, so this idea doesn't reaaally work out.

Kaka's red card was bullshit. But the goal was awesome. Too awesome for the hand ball to be seen 8)

I have to disagree on that. He actually looked for trouble where he should've been downright calm. Provoking is easy (hello, Zidane), stand on your ground, avoid troubles.
Also, maradona.jpg for the hand thing. Hell, even the referee saw it and didn't call for it.

Anyhoo, let's see the next bets:
-Portugal 2-1 North Korea
-Chile 1-1 Swiss (I expect lots of awesome on this one)
-Spain 0-0 Honduras ( " " " " fail " " ")

Yeah, because a little nudge on the chest hits the guy on the face. That card was total bullshit, and even FIFA's thinking about calling back that red card.

That ref was pretty shit. Yeah, I admit he did miss those hand balls so it probably shouldn't be a goal. Once FIFA reviews this ref he's more than likely fired from WC officiating :V

Also:
North Korea 2 - 0 (oh yeah, fuck you hard C.Ronaldo)
Chile 2 - 0
Tie 1 - 1

Today has shown me what the World Cup is all about. It is about nations coming from all across the world, joining together as one in enjoyable recreation. It is about uniting over a common point everyone can support. With this new-found spirit in my heart, let me join my worldwide brethren in South Africa with a hearty

I'm glad at least FIFA is doing something about the bad referees. The one who cost America the last game is probably not going to be allowed to ref any more games in this tournament.

They just need better screening procedures, although it can be hard to find bias beforehand.

I don't like Ronaldo, but that weird goal of his was funny. 7-0 is no longer football but public humiliation over the globe. Even south Korea played better.
