All the officiating nonsense that comes out of this World Cup will hopefully bring it out of the stone age and, at least for worldwide tournaments that are supposed to showcase teams at their best, have a fair championship that isn't blighted by blind/biased/dishonest referees.
In short, international soccer's a joke sport until they bring in some sort of dispute/challenge system involving the cameras and provide hefty penalties to anyone caught diving.
Uuuhhh... no.
If I remember correctly, it was tried to be implemented in Italy. As far as I'm concerned, it didn't work out.
Of course, after the match, any referees doing shit on field, they're gonna receive some kicks from the higher levels.
And even then... it just would turn into Football because pretty much EVERYONE would make calls more annoying than any vuvuzela, so this idea doesn't reaaally work out.
Kaka's red card was bullshit. But the goal was awesome. Too awesome for the hand ball to be seen
I have to disagree on that. He actually looked for trouble where he should've been downright calm. Provoking is easy (hello, Zidane), stand on your ground, avoid troubles.
Also, maradona.jpg for the hand thing. Hell, even the referee saw it and didn't call for it.
Anyhoo, let's see the next bets:
-Portugal 2-1 North Korea
-Chile 1-1 Swiss (I expect lots of awesome on this one)
-Spain 0-0 Honduras ( " " " " fail " " ")
