Okay, what the hell? I just tried a UFO Lunatic run.

Stage 2, 2 deaths, once with 2 bombs in stock.
Stage 3, 2 deaths, once with 2 bombs in stock.
Stage 4, SIX DEATHS, TWICE with two bombs in stock.
Stage 5, two deaths, once with two bombs in stock (because I for some reason decided to try and capture Radiant Treasure Gun hurrrr).

And yet, after that terrible, terrible run, I still made it to stage 6. How the Christ did that happen?

...This might be slightly less difficult than I originally thought. :V

Ah ha, finally you're getting it. UFO is hardly the strict game everyone thinks it is. I think I got 12 lives in my clear and still had 3 left over (meaning I died 9 times which is the amount of lives some of the more lenient Touhou games give you).

Is it just me or are some of yukari's cards EASIER than Ran's versions of them?

I'd probably have beaten Phantasm already myself if it weren't for the stage being so absurd. Especially FREAKING RAN!

I've had runs where I've lost 2 lives on the stage and 2 on Yukari....so yeah.

Am I actually getting good at the fighting games? 
So yeah, SWR is a lot different than IaMP I noticed. The story mode is less a fighting game and more a "figure out the pattern and for the love of God don't get hit" game. It's a lot easier in any case.
Used Reimu because she's God tier. She can take out most spellcards with 3 shotgun B's followed by a kick (Komachi gets completely destroyed with this).
I kind of overreacted before on "Scarlet Weather Rhapsody of All Humankind". It's not that bad once I figured out you had to get rid of the small lasers on the last phase by grazing through them first. Skipped the second phase though, because I don't know what the fuck.

Youtubing this up because I'm just way to proud of this. :V

Captured Resurrection Butterfly Hard on the 4th try or so. Meh... Not so sure how much of an accomplishment this really is. It's pretty freaking easy for a game's final card, especially since it's a survival. It's not that tough if you dodge a bit up the screen instead of letting the red waves extend.

Haha, awesome. No death clear on MoF Normal(which is incidentally probably the easiest to do that on). Blew away all my other scores since I ended with over 700k faith, also more than I've ever gotten to before.

Hurray bombing.

Also, I captured Mountain of Faith, so that was pretty cool and everything too.

So I just played Phantasm for the first time in about a month... and I one death the entire stage. I get a perfect Yukari fight...
IF ONLY I BOTHERED TO COMPLETELY MEMORIZE THE STAGE, I WOULD HAVE BEEN THE 3RD PERSON OUTSIDE JAPAN TO PERFECT PHANTASM!

Further testing confirms this, and also points out that you get normal bombs per life in the Extra.  (I'm assuming it's 2, because that's what it was set to.)

I'm really surprised at myself. I've only been playing Hard for what, a month? Obviously I didn't complete it the game, but...wow.

Decided to try for a Brilliant Dragon Bullet timeout.  Turns out it's really easy, so then I did it No Vertical.  I also tried no focus and died with 1 second left. 

Also Dragon's Necklace Normal timeout, which is a LOT harder than lunatic.  I had to use a completely ridiculous strategy that involved circling around Kaguya.

Oh yeah. Hard Mode's definitely calling me now. For the record, I've already beaten Stages 1-3 on Hard - I just need a good amount of time to practice the rest.

1cc'd IN Hard, again. More Netherworld Team, went to Eirin instead of Kaguya.

It becomes somewhat easy once you realize that Youmu's regular bomb does more damage than her deathbomb. So, it's like you get 2.2x the total damage once you stop doing deathbombing.

Not to mention the absurd amount of bombs you get with their abilities.

Edit: Oh, it also seems as though I've captured 7 Last Words, including Wriggles and Yuyuko's. That's pretty sweet.
