I beat friggin' MS Extra that took way too blasted long

3000 and counting. We are proof that mankind is doomed.

Just attempted UFO Extra no focus as it's the only Windows Extra I haven't done that for yet... my first attempt that wasn't a ragequit before Nue got me up to Grudge Bow. :V Also managed a capture of Danmaku Chimera which is kind of scary no-focus. All in all it seems pretty easy up until the last two cards; I died twice to Nightmare's first two phases and died again on the first phase of Grudge Bow.

Also, not sure if I should bother with LLS/MS Extras no focus. Even if I managed them, is there any way of actually proving it short of recording the run during the actual playthrough?

Had one bomb in stock, so that makes four lost bombs. I lost one when my friend came in the room - on Yuka's second-to-last phase no less - and I, stupidly, turned to look. DONK

IIRC the second-to-last one of the percentages is the amount of time you spent focused, so if that's 0%...

Ah okay, cool stuff. I'll have to do those at some point then. Also, congrats on the Lunatic 1cc!

Anywho, I tried UFO Extra no focus again, and voil?. That was really easy compared to SA's run, I died with bombs in stock a load of times and still cleared comfortably enough. Highlight of the run, I think, would be the no focus capture of Rainbow UFOs. Also capped Kogasa's first and third cards, and all of Nue's first four cards. :V I almost captured Grudge Bow, too, which was kind of annoying - I died about halfway through the final phase. Ah well. At any rate, all Windows Extras no focus cleared!

Actually, I tried a no-focus run of MS once and I'm pretty sure that number was at its highest yet around 54%. My memory may be poor and I can't find the screenshot so I'll do another run later, or Sapz will eventually test it.

Well, this is a hell of a couple days and no mistake!

So, all 1-player danmaku games except SoEW (stupid) and SA and UFO (stupid, but for different reasons) cleared on Hard. And LLS Lunatic! And all Extras (again excepting SoEW[stupid]).

OK, OK! SA Hard runs, go!

Finally a BoWaP lunatic capture after 29 tries. :V
Never bothered to practise it on Normal and Hard so I never captured it on any difficulty before.

So that makes all Stage 1,2,3,5,6 lunatic SA cards captured and the four spells of Satori on Yukari-Reimu route captured! Yaaay!

On my non TAS side it became pretty quiet, Last thing i can remeber i accd was a normal UFO lunatic run. finished it but nothing special -> bombs used, lives lost =)

So I decided I might as well give LLS Extra No Focus a go. Despite at least five or six different 'wait shit I forgot that happened' moments (I haven't played this stage in months), I cleared on my first attempt with a life and two bombs to spare. That was a lot easier than I remembered. :V

Having said that...

...it looks like Heartbeam is right. I'm pretty sure the third number from the bottom isn't focus seeing as it's close to 100% rather than being 0%, although I have no idea what it actually might be.

At any rate, nine out of ten Extras cleared no focus. That just leaves MS... I'm pretty sure Alice won't be the piece of cake Gengetu was, though.

EDIT: ...Oh, wow. I guess my prediction was sort of wrong. I failed my first attempt at MS Extra no focus, but my second attempt was, err, actually better than any run I've done even with focus.

Only two deaths, and I got my first 'captures' for the purple phase, the cheeto lasers and Alice's final phase. :V I wish there was a replay function for MS... pretty proud of that run.

So, that means every Extra stage no focus cleared. Woo! Out of interest, has anyone else done this?

Hmm. Time to start with the tournament grazing challenges next, I think.

Lol I doubt, you pretty much need to aim to do it to actually do it, i think noone randomly has done 1-12 extra no focus

I only managed it in SA and MOF, but those are the only 2 i tried it on yet. Its been a while ive been doing score runs but If im playing real i focus on normal playthroughs no focus or no vertical (not been too succesful on that vertical part yet =D, my problem is i always wanna do the full 1-6 runs so chances to screw are big, its not that easy ><)

But yea atm i enjoy doing some TAS replays so i wont accomplish alot in close future

Chiyuri > Yumemi in terms of overall difficulty.

I've lost like what, ~30 games to her now? Chiyuri essentially forces you win by scoring / aggressive play when you're using a character such as Kana.

Ugh, might consider swapping to the high-tier AI killers.

Baity, there are no high tier AI killers in PoDD.

There are just those that work slightly more often than the others. You say Yumemi is the best against the AI, and indeed she's who I eventually 1cc'd with, but I failed MANY times before with the opponent dodging her just as well as anyone else.

Ever had a single match against Chiyuri go for 9 minutes? Or how about Stages 4-7 which went from 2-4 minutes consistently? That's the result of trying to use Kana. This is starting to get so luck-based I might consider not recording the Chiyuri battle.

Besides who wants to see me getting kicked around by the AI for anywhere from 6-20+ minutes?
