Welcome to the Let's Stream thread, and just in time for the holidays too. There aren't a whole lot of rules here - you can do whole playthroughs of games, have quick matches here and there, co-op games with others, or even anything unrelated to video games (They just happen to be the most popular choice)! The only limit is YOUR IMAGINATION.

Some FAQ for people unfamiliar with streaming.

What is a stream?

It is a means of live broadcasting video to the internet. Most of the time, streaming refers to playing video games live on the internet, though you aren't restricted to said stipulations. There are a bunch of sites for this; the most notable being Twitch. Hitbox is another option that is used here and there, and had appeared after Twitch put a large delay between the user's computer and the stream (I believe since then, it's been fixed, though I cannot confirm).

How do I stream?

You can download free software such as XSplit and OBS, which will enable you to stream to various sites (also for free). Scroll down a bit further, and you'll see a guide for setting up your stream.

Is there a place where I can see a list of people who stream regularly?

So does the stream have to be all high-quality, serious LP business?

Of course not! This is a place to perform tasks on the internet, where you don't have the constraints of having your own thread, and keeping said thread full of content.

That said, people will have critiques, so don't get all pissy when it happens.

Can I stream movies with friends and post it here?

Absolutely not. We'd likely be diving into some serious copyright infringement if that were the case. If you want to stream movies, keep it off this forum.

Let me know, knock yourself out. This thread is mainly for people to get the word out that they're streaming but you're more than welcome to comment and discuss streams or ideas about streaming. The only limit is YOUR IMAGINATION again.

Ask them here too. Even though I am no expert onto streaming, someone else might be, and could further assist you.

This thread is actually a really good idea. We already have collections of Friend-codes, Steam ids, etc. but not this.

Yeah I noticed that there was no stream thread, so I simply made one.

Oh, and because I forgot to mention it at the time, I stream some Touhou here and there, but mostly a rhythm game called Osu! and occasionally trying out Battletoads at different emulated speeds. I may also decide to stream whatever I feel like sometimes. No real schedule here.

FYI to those who uses Steam. You can now Stream/Live Broadcast using the new Stream feature of Steam Beta Client.

Pretty sure you can stream anything that supports the steam overlay.

I'm going to be playing more Touhou Puppet Performance.

Except this time I'm going to be doing something very different.

I'm going to be Nuzlockeing it.

For those who don't know that means:
You can only catch the first encounter of an area
If it faints it's dead

There may be occasional breaks for me to screenshot things for the purposes of documentation of the run; but if you guys wanna watch; stream will be up in a min or two.

Shooting for Partner status, so im sadly at the whimsy of whats popular right now. But, I play it all, from the niche to the popular; from the request to the spur of the moment. We even have some degree of professionalism! :V

I actually just got about 3-4 hours of the Banner Saga played for a friend; and we had a lot of fun! We're doing a Vampire the Mascarade Stream on Thursday at Noon next.

We're going live in about ~10 or so minutes. My friend came late with a DL code, so im downloading as we speak.

Edit - The Mod has finished Installing, and we're going live!
After about 50 minutes of editing the game to actually make it work with stream overlay :V
