> Bottle some of the water for now then and look for an exit.
[3] You fill your one-liter canteen with some spring water and walk back out onto the mountain road. As the path gets more uneven, you trip and scrape your knees. It's not too bad, but there is visible bleeding. There is also the possiblity that the wound will get infected if left neglected.
WARNING: Mend the wound within four turns.>Alright, to-do list updated. Now... "Hmm...wait, Eientei is in the Bamboo Forest, and I just came from there...huh. Maybe I didn't think that through well enough. But if all who enter get lost, how can I find a mansion that doesn't want to be found? And could you get me something I could use to- wait, right, flying. Nevermind that. I learned my lesson about landing hard."
>"I'll remember to come back and talk to Akyuu, thank you. Now, awaaaay!" And try to levitate my way or use my wings to head back the way I came, but this time more responsibly. No hard landings. Find whoever or wherever Keine points me to!
>Make sure the railgun is on my left arm. Adjust until comfortable. (Player comment: I know, the 6 was sweet, but specifics are always nice. It sounds more complex than Utsuho's third leg, so I wanted to know specifically what it could do. Thanks for the info!)
No actions were performed[2] You attempt to fly, but since your ankles are hurt you find it very difficult to bring yourself up and take to the skies.
[6] Still sitting on the ground, you hoist the gun with your left hand and adjust the clamp to fit your shoulder. You then place your left hand in the glove and tighten it with your free hand. As you engage the nuclear power supply, the device glows and lets out a
steady AC hum. If you could stand, you'd probably look somewhat like
this.
>Alright, now that I feel better, let's find someone to interact with.
Ambient sounds to set the tone[1](+1) As you wake up from your rest, you notice that the sun has set half-way behind the distant mountains. As night rolls over Gensokyo and eerie sounds begin to emanate from unknown sources, you begin to feel very insecure and vulnerable by being alone like this.
>what's the stats of my bamboo spear?
>Leave bamboo forest, head towards human village.
The bamboo spear is fairly light, but it appears to be very sturdy and structurally sound. It can be used as a stabbing or swinging weapon.
[6] As the sun sets behind the mountains and night falls, you feel more determined than ever to get somewhere safe. This determination somehow heigtens your awareness, and you quickly make it out of the forest. As the sky darkens further, you notice an expanse of flicking light in the distance. After a tiring run, you make it to the human village, where you find an unmatched sock sitting on the ground and a silver-haired woman wearing a peculiar piece of headgear.
"You must be an outsider as well..." she says. "You two should be grateful for having made it here at a time like this. Perhaps you can stay here and join us..."
> Start simple. Introduce yourself, name and title. Err... What were those again?
>> insert name {Derryck Varner}
>> insert title {farmhand}
> Just introduce yourself as a Mr. "Derryck Varner," and say you're some farmer's son. That'll probably excuse the firearms. Farmers use machine guns, right?
> Try and convince her you just got a bit lost on an errand to the village, wherever that may be from here. Make sure you exaggerate on youkai presence and trying to defend yourself.
> Check the weather and time of day. If it's looking like it's an overcast or nearly nighttime, request the night here.
[2] Hoping to avoid any violence, you quickly respond with, "I am Derryck Varner, a farmhand from [REDACTED]. I mean no harm whatsoever."
Unfortunately your attempt to convince her must not have been very successful, because she throws several needles right at you.
[4] You
dodge them like a boss and yell, "JUST GET ME TO THE VILLAGE!!!"
"There!" the shrine maiden points to the northwest with her rod. "You better not cause any trouble, or I'll go there and exterminate you personally!"
As the last sliver of the sun begins to disappear into the horizon, you wonder if you should stay at the shrine for the night. The sight of the girl holding more needles up at you quickly dissolves that thought.
>get un-lost
[2] You're still lost.
>Arrive late to a new Roll to Dodge game, muttering something about how the previous one kind of ended up going nowhere.
Ambient sounds to set the tone[5] The last thing you remember before being blacking out and waking up in a strange bamboo forest was that you were on your way back home after dumping garbage into the collection bin. However, the way back seemed to be longer than usual, and for some reason you still don't understand what happened next. All that matters right now is that you are standing in a creepy forest with ActionDan, Dudu Zombolt, and bigyihsuan in the dark...
...Oh, and you also have a
switchblade.
It had to be that opening, was it.
>Spend the last three missed updates collecting gried seeds
Yes. That opening is a classic.
[4] You find several hidden among the bamboo stalks.
At this point in the game, several of you are at the same location, close together, or even face to face with each other. If you would like to cooperate with others, here's a suggested procedure to do so:
- Communicate your actions. Private messaging (provided by the forum) is the best way to do so, but if you somehow know the user you wish to communicate with outside of the forum, Facebook, text messaging, and other methods work just as well.
- Make an agreement with those who you wish to cooperate with and mention that in your command. For example, you can write, "While [user] is [their action], [your action]." Joint actions are also possible, just mention that you are doing so.
I will still roll for each player separately.
