I must say, that was quite a pleasant surprise. I had no idea of the photo shoot until
this yesterday morning and the whole going out for dinner was an unknown to me as well. I gotta say that it was a really great experience and in a way I'm now kinda inspired to get off my butt and try and make some kind of costume for the next time after feeling silly for being the only person at my table with no costume.
Kinda disappointed with the dealer room, but the artist's alley delivers again.
Also, anyone see the art auction pieces. I am seriously considering that Alice piece so am I going to run into any competing bidders from motk? :V
I was eyeing that Yuyuko one for a while until I saw it go to $150. I just can't burn money that quickly...yet. I also love the Marisa/Alice/Cirno one. I think the last time I saw that it was at $100? As a side note, I still need to get better at looking for Touhou merc in the dealer's room. Totally bombed on the first day...although I made up for it a bit on the second.
TOUHOU WEDDANS
FUCK YEAH
EDIT: Well okay Touhou Marriage Proposals but still
FUCK YEAH
Yeah, that was pretty awesome.
Again, thanks for running the photoshoots and dinner both were a blast.
I must reiterate this sentiment. It really was a lot of fun. Hopefully there's some level of touhou fandom presence at Anime USA (because dammit, Atlanta is too far away / too expensive).
Ah, one final thought. One person at my table mentioned a rumor of Anime Boston trying to get ZUN to attend...anyone have additional info on this?
