We don't know (or remember) that she has pretty much no nerve system right now, and I really don't have much of a plan for getting close enough to her. If we had a smoke bomb, and a room with enough barricades that we could sneak up on her, maybe, but really my only plan with it is keeping it on us in case that opportunity presents itself (or if using the airborne anaesthetics makes her drowsy enough that we can close in and ensure that she's knocked out).

EDIT: Or if we get so desperate that we're willing to risk the nuclear fires to stab her with it.

In terms of using the cesium, we could scatter some in the corridor on our way to the washroom or what-not, and then splash water on it LATER, to activate it, if Utsuho was on top of the appropriate spot.

Planning session:

<DracoOmega> So do we go with a cesium explosion, and then try to inject her? I'm not sure what else there is at the moment
<Sect> I would take a canister or two of the gas as well, and try to lead her into the mess hall. Set the canisters of gas near the entry way and start leaking gas, put some cesium near there as well. Hide, with some water, and when she enters, toss the water so that it'll stun her long enough for the anaesthetic to start kicking in. THen, try to go in for the injection.
<DracoOmega> That sounds as solid as we're likely to get with our time constraints and materials. Better than I might have expected, actually. Go for it

That's the idea that me and Draco are going with for now, so...

> Prep a needle with anaesthetic, making sure that it's safe (knocking out air bubbles and all that) and fitted with a cap so we don't stab ourself with it. Place that in our coat pocket.
> Grab about six samples of cesium. Place in another pocket.
> Find a bag.
> Get two canisters of inhaled anaesthetic. Place in bag.
> Get a couple of beakers. Place in bag.
> Crack storage door open, look/listen to see if coast is clear. Make for the mess hall.

>You fill a needle with 2cc of anaesthetic. You place a cap on the needle and place it in one of your pockets.
>You store six 1g samples of Caesium in small containers, which you then place within two pockets.
>You search for a bag. You find a biological wastes container. This will do, you think.
>You place two canisters of anaesthetic and several beakers within it.
>You open the door slightly and peek out. There is no sign of the hell raven.
>You make it to the mess hall without incident, though you can hear the raven's laughter again.

>You are currently standing in front of one of two entrances to the mess hall. The other entrance is from the kitchen.
>There are several large tables in the centre of the room. These tables form two rows.
>All the chairs are currently stacked up in a corner of the room.
>The kitchen is directly opposite where you are standing right now.
>The kitchen and mess hall are divided by a wall, which has a large gap in it where food was displayed.
>The door to the kitchen is next to this gap in the wall.
>The laughter appears to be getting softer.

Wouldn't recommend this: even the craziest of people would assume it's a trap. Another loud sound, such as a door slamming, might suffice.

Re: Nitori Quest!
« Reply #372 on: May 29, 2011, 07:08:50 AM »
Frankly, I'm inclined to think that even if she was lucid enough to suspect a trap (which is doubtful) that she genuinely wouldn't care. She intends to find us and kill us and it doesn't matter if we're laying a trap or not - she's utterly single-minded in this regard.

That being said, slamming the door when we're next to it may also work. My one concern with that is that if she's in the hallway and sees it, it will give away the room we're in entirely, rather than just the general part of the corridor, so it might get her here quickly than a shout would. And this could be a problem if we're forced to get her attention before we're fully ready, for the other kappa's sake.

>You try to get as much air in your lungs as possible before you begin to release the anaesthetic.

>You're relatively certain you could hit the Caesium as you only need a small amount of water to come into contact with it, however you would have to lob the beakers, which would be slower than throwing it overarm.
>You can hear the hell raven opening doors along the way as she approaches.

>This is no time to be afraid. You need to act. Now.
>You see the hell raven falter slightly, you will not miss this opportunity.
>You throw water at the Caesium closest to the hell raven.
>The hell raven attempts to shoot the beaker down, launching a small fireball, however the fireball veers to the right and hits the wall.
>The beaker hits the floor and breaks and you can see the water suspended in the air before it touches the Caesium.
>You take cover behind the dividing wall.
>You hear a large explosion, as well as the hell raven's scream.
>Smoke fills the air.
