(Gameplay based on the Sucubus Manor Game Engine. Enjoy.)
Recreation and Finality of the Solar WayIt is the year 700 S.E. Mankind has moved beyond the boundaries of Earth and has ventured out into space. and constructed colonies on the planets and moons of the solar system. However, it is not through co-operation that this has been made so.
700 years had passed since mankind first completed the lunar colony Section 1. Frames do most of the grunt work of transportation and resource collection. Technological inovations have pushed the limits of man's potential to the point where they now stand ready to colonize Pluto, perhaps even go beyond the limits of the solar system itself. Accomplishing this such a feat would require a large amount of raw materials.
War has changed a lot since the creation of the colonies. Battle ships exchange fire with each other while Armored War Frames clash, attempting to obtain superiority in space.
Four factions stand ready to push to the fartherst point in the solar system. The only things that they are missing are the resources necessary to do so.
In the Inner Solar System, three factions compete for dominance. The Terran Munitions, the Lunar Corporation, and Martian Foundaries all fight to obtain as much of the remaining resources as is possible. While they sound like companies, they function more like nations, where the Board of Directors control many aspects of life. Terran Munitions and Martian Foundaries pride themselves on the powerful and heavily armoured machines they produce. The Lunar Corporation prides themselves in their technological advances, having developed the most powerful laser and plasma weapons known to exist.
The only power in the Outer Solar System is the Republic of Jupiter. The capital is located in the star fortress Zeus, with four hubs of economy and production located on Callisto, Io, Ganymede. and Europa. Ruling over the sector of space with an iron grip, many of the citizens feel opressed. Still, the Repulican Military is not to be contended with halfheartedly. While a unmber of their machines can be considered out-dated, there are rumors flying around that they are developing new, fiercesome weapons in preparation for a some great war.
Meanwhile, in all of this, there's you, a Frame pilot. Years ago, you were branded an enemy of the state and exiled. You have made your home on an abandoned mining station in the asteroid belt along with a few other people who help maintain your machine. You've managed to make a living by doing some small time trade, selling raw materials to the highest paying customer. The resource war threatens your home, and all of the Solar system. As far as you know, the only way to continue surviving is to end the problem of the Solar War.
Game MechanicsResources: To fund your endeavors you'll need resources for various things
-Raw Materials- Used to make scrap metal or Luxury Items. Generally used in construction.
-Scrap Metal- Metal used in the construction of Space Vessels and Frames. Not necessarily damaged.
-Food Stuffs- Keeps people fed. Rationed. 1 Food Stuff used for every 5 Man Power.
-Luxury Items- Useful for maintaining morale. Best used for trading.
Man Power: People you can assign to do objectives or tasks
-Crew run the facilities and maintain your frames and space vessels
-Miners go inside the asteroids and mine out raw materials. They also go around and scavange what they can from abandoned space stations
-Defenders are needed to defend the space station. Even though you are hidden from the large threats, skirmishes often make their way into your territory, so maintain a vigilant defense
-Raiders go out and obtain scrap metal, food stuffs, and luxury items. You need working Frames and/or Space Vessels to ensure success.
Morale: It is essential that this is balanced, otherwise people will not work, and there may even be a mutiny. If the morale is too high, no one's going to work, you know. On the flip side, a high morale will make some people be able ot do things they may not normally do.
Facilities: Being on an Asteriod station can be kinda cramped. Sure, you have some facilities already, but if you want to win the game, you're going to need more things. These cost Raw Materials, Scrap Metal and sometimes Luxury Items.
Vessels: Space-faring ships. They are important to the success of your endeavors. The vary in size and function. The size of each vessel is classified as S, A, B, C, D, E, F, and G, S being the largest.
Frames: The essential workhorse of any operation. They have two classes, AWFs ( Armoured War Frame ) and LF ( Labor Frame ) They are classified by Light, Medium, and Heavy. Size determines how many Frame Points are taken up. Frame Points are a representation of the size of the robotics bay of your base. You can have more frames than the robotics bay can support, but only some of them will be maintained monthly.
Light=1
Medium=2
Heavy=3
Followers:Special characters who will come to aid you in your efforts. Some of them can be recruited while others will just simply join you.
