To answer Ruro's question, it's looking like I'm going to be pulling a Yukari and having alternate costumes from artist to artist, but there ought to be some common thread between the designs to show that they're the same character. Oh well, I suppose I'll let that turn out as it will. I see nothing wrong with letting Slaves portray me however he wants in the game itself, and letting the other artists figure out which aspects of each others' designs they'd prefer to keep when drawing me. Our Ijiyatsu designs aren't about what traits we pick out for ourselves, but rather about how others see us.
Since it looks like I just need a portrait shot from Ruro, I'll say that her hood-and-eyepatch design is definitely my favorite from the shoulders up. I've been thinking that Iji-Serp's covered eye is her trump card, with the ability to perceive the wounds in bodies, minds, and in reality itself, and which remains covered because its use puts a strain on her sanity. That would be why she's not wearing it when she's going after Moerin. It's the sort of nonsense you'd expect to see in a shonen anime, but Suda51 teaches us that any such offense is forgivable as long as you claim to be committing it ironically.
As for what sort of weaponry I should be using to fight Pesco, I really have no idea. I was torn between being a hand-to-hand fighter or else using a couple of western longswords, but then Slaves gave me bandoliers, so I started thinking of using gun kata, and then A-F gave me a whip, and then Gap gave me a sword-whip and an arm cannon, and so now I really have no idea which one I like best, 'cause they're all awesome. Though, everyone knows that Pesco fights with mindhax anyway, so the odds are good that it won't matter anyway.
As an aside, Gap, since you mentioned that you want to fiddle with the skirt, maybe you could borrow the wavy pattern along the hem from Ruro's and Slaves's designs, and the division up the front from A-F's and Slaves's designs. I should also note that I'm torn on whether I like the baggy trousers from Ruro's design more than the stockings or socks or whatever. Oh well, like I said, it's all up to the individual artist.
