> Start making our way toward that same door.
> "A small burst of light. It is something I recently learned I could do. I can temporarily illuminate the otherwise currently-dark outdoors."
>You make your way toward the door.
>"Please do not touch anything," says Rinnosuke as he opens the back door.
>"That might be useful," says Aya, "But it sounds like it'd be a real pain on someone's night vision."
>Entering into the back room, you find it is full of books. Stacks upon stacks of books litter the floor, with piles of newspapers interspersed between them. The walls are dominated with shelves filled with more books. Little trails wend their way through the the waist-high stacks of literature, surprisingly clean despite the apparent messiness of the place. Off in the corner, you see a futon on the floor, with a small chest of drawers, a basin, and a brazier crammed into a tiny space around it. You notice a fair amount of dust and cobwebs around the areas where the trails do not reach. Off to the side, mostly obscured by books, you can see what looks like a stairwell leading into a basement. There is a more or less straight path leading toward a doorway at the far wall. Obvious exists are North, East, and South.
