The Reimu video is only an excerpt of the run i felt recording from stage 8 onwards. Particularly happy about my Mima score. Apart from Chiyuri, everything else seems to be my average on normal.

Cool. None of my scores currently on the board have used autofire, so you can put them all to off. (Anyone else who has scores here, pls post about your old runs if you remember.)

None of my scores used autofire, either (I don't even think there's such an option in Neko Project 21 (the emulator I'm using)).

The way people usually do autofire is via the program AutoHotkey or through JoyToKey, or any program that converts button presses to keyboard. Some emulators do offer it, though!

So I just checked in Neko Project 21, and it has a "Joy rapid" option in the menu, so I guess it does offer an autofire option. Rest assured, though, I never used autofire.

Got a hard clear. Was trying to see if I can score decently with another character, but no luck.

I did go after hard before going after lunatic, but at some point I decided to skip to lunatic and never got around to clearing hard until recently. Also, this is the first time I scored past 50 million in PoDD.

Main screw ups in the run were on Yumemi. One death was because I collided with an enemy thinking my tap rate would save me. Another was because I didn't see a bullet coming.

Every time I finish a run like these I'm still baffled by how Zil's scores are so high though. Is he getting that lucky with scores (after grinding runs for a very long time) or is there some score-strategy I'm missing? Regardless, I'll take second place!

Both, to a degree, but much more the later. The Ellen score for instance required some good luck to get, but still only around 5 tries, and most of my non Lunatic scores took even fewer than that. What's important to realize is that the first round against Yumemi can last forever, so your ability to prolong it has a huge impact on your score. There's also a lot more subtlety to using spells than just spamming them and hoping they come back at a good time, like watching the opponent's screen to help make predictions, knowing where to stand to guide things where you want (your x-coordinate effects how long it takes fireballs to reach you, for instance, which I don't think a lot of people take into consideration) etc.
