This. Except it's not possible for me, so I'll be awake and alone at home because my family is to be avoided at ALL costs. And with everyone else being with their families and not online... =/

Also, I'll either have a TV dinner of pasta or I'll order pizza tomorrow. Then my parents may bring leftovers home from Thanksgiving dinner but eh.

An Octorok A 23-lb Turkey, some Sweet Potatoes with caramel, mashed potatos & gravy, stuffing, wild rice, a tossed salad, a few rolls, and two pumpkin pies to share amongst all 7 of us.

I'm also having some root beer, Chex mix, and nuts for the football games.

One traditionally roasted turkey. One turkey that will either be deep friend or smoked (dunno which). Lots of rolls. Dirt cake (I hope oh man).

Hell yes.

I will have two or three hours of sleep, tops.

deep friend or smoked

Isn't deep fried dangerous due to the fact that the oil can bubble and create a fire? I heard deep fried is good though.

Yeah.

That doesn't mean that precautions can't be taken.  Make sure the bird is dry, the oil is the right temperature and at the right level, and carefully put it into the oil.  You can also use Alton's paranoid contraption :D
Cheating? I cannot even wrap my head around the point of it. Wouldn't you know you had cheated? How on Earth could you maintain crisp certainty of your superiority to all others? And if you're unable to do that, what's the point of anything?

That's why they fried it in the garage last year; that is a garage where mechanic work is done, not one where cars are just stored. And they still managed to scar up the floor a little.

And hell yes, deep fried turkey is magnificent. Especially because they flavored it with bit of habanero juice. And oh man. I waste pining for more for weeks. Peoples in #meido might recall that.

The family I have Thanksgiving with are pussies who can't handle things even remotely spicy.  They'll bitch about perfectly reasonable quantities of black pepper, let alone something containing mouth (and eye) watering amounts of capsaicin.

My taste buds can't really handle anything spicier than kimchi. Although I probably have acquired a keen taste for fish probably from my parents since they are from the ports.
