EDIT: For that matter, what are you hoping to accomplish by tracking them down at this point? The bucket's been returned, Kisume is satisfied Murasa didn't do it, and went to apologize. And it's not like we're going to get any apologies out of most of the most likely candidates on the list, anyway. If they even admit they did it.

Because the quest is still sitting there - if it were "complete" it would have been taken off. It hasn't been taken off; instead, it's been modified to fit what we know and left there. This alone makes it worth pursuing to me.

There's also simple curiosity about who would want to rob a hobo. Then again, that she's a mugger as well might do the trick.

Also, a better reason to get some golem parts would have been damage control - if the fairies collected every part of it last time, what would stop them from doing it again?

Then again, making out with Renko probably gave them more than enough time to strip it empty anyway, so...
