Today is gbsub, Basket Day. Baskets are a low-tech, convenient way to carry more stuff around! I'm not sure how they're really different from buckets, though. Maybe it's the shape? Or the material? I don't think I've ever seen a straw bucket before...

In order to compensate for the extended summer holidays which were introduced as a result of Ramadan, the Winter holiday this year is only about two weeks in length, and we return to school on the 2nd of January. It is tyrannical to demand the return of all students immediately after New Year's... but because the holiday is so short in length, I won't be able to go anywhere... for the first holiday in a long time I'll be staying at home with nothing at all to do :/
