>Continue westward
>Keep an eye out for any sign of a road, or even a footpath that looks traveled on

>You continue westward, keeping quiet until you're sure you're out of earshot.
>The underbrush here is a not more sparse, instead you find mushrooms becoming more common; or perhaps they are toadstools? You have no idea what the difference is. The trees are still thick, but they are thinning out as well; however, the canopy seems more dense; perhaps more branches are entwined? Up ahead, you can see a pair of those small people, reclining among the mushrooms.

> Whistle a tune (Kinema-kan 2nd curtain OP)
>Don't whistle anything while we're still near them. We're trying to be stealthy.

>This would quite neatly get their attention, you are pretty sure.

>You circle around the duo, heading northward. The forest grows a bit less mushroom-first. Up ahead, you can see what looks like a house between the trees.

>Get a closer look at that house

>You move closer to the house. It's...really weird, given when you think of house, you think of things like siding and shingled roofs and the like. This one has some wooden frames, with a kind of...rocky stuff between them. You really don't know what it is. It's like mud, you think, but it looks more study.  There are some windows set into it, with curtains drawn over them. It has been painted white, but you think it could probably use another coat. You don't see a door, it must be on the other side.

>Examine the house from within the foliage.
>If there's nothing of note to see at the moment, leave a marker of some sort at your current location to keep track of it, and circle around the house once for a better look.

>You notice a sizable flat rock, that should do.
>You start to circle the house and notice a door to the east side of it.
>"Hey," comes a voice from the house's general direction, "Who's out there!"

> "Um ok."
> Make our way out slowly, and look for the source if the voice.
> Upon noticing the source of the voice, can we tell what she looks like?

>You don't really step out of the trees so much as you step from the thick trees to the slightly less thick but still difficult to move through trees. Not far from the house, you can see what looks like a ramen stand, set up in the middle of the forest. Sitting behind is a small, pink-haired woman in a brown dress and a bowl-like hat. The small wings extending from her back, the tufts extending from her ears, and especially the claws extending from her fingers all give away her youkai heritage.
>She is giving you an appraising look.

>"I took care to avoid the fairies. A... different girl caught me by surprise before that."
>Pray that this one isn't the sort to attack people randomly like the oni and Kisume...
>If the voice is coming from the direction of the house, step cautiously into the open and look for Mystia. Otherwise, stay put so she can't easily find you. Keep looking for her.

>Not really knowing the territory so well, it is impossible for you to really step forward and not be seen when she's actively looking for you.
>So far, so good.
>"I thought you said you were a youkai," she says at least. She doesn't sound particularly upset, at least.

>"I didn't say that..."
>Take another couple steps forward
>Can we get a better look at the stand?

>"'Are you a youkai, too?', You said!" she says, frowning. "Who else was there to be the other one?"
>You walk forward, and get a better look at the stand. You're approaching it from behind, and can see a grill taking up much of the rear, as well as various sauces. There's a curtain at the front, which allows people to duck behind it while eating and have some privacy. Though, for the middle of the forest, it may not be needed. Then again, faeries.

>It was the "you're a youkai, too?" wasn't it?

>"What's this stand of yours?"

>Seems that way.
>"Oh, well. I suppose I can't blame you. You shouldn't just wander out of the village, though.
>Yeah, it seems she can tell.
>You head out into the open, as it were, and ask about the stand. "I sell grilled lamprey,'" she says. "You want some? I'm not open just yet, but I could whip you up one."
