> Nitori: Scan area for hidden ghosts, odd magical signatures, or strange waves.
Well, uh, you've found
something, inasmuch as it seems to be coming from all directions at once. Unless it's coming
from you, which would be silly. Anyway, it's either random noise or your systems just don't know how to analyze it. This information seems to be completely incomprehensible and useless, so you turn the scanner off for now. In other news,
OW.> Nitori: Think of all possible air or breath related sites around.
Hmm ... there aren't really any that you're aware of. The closest it gets is some of the
TENGU, who have control over wind, but that doesn't have anything to do with mind-control or telepathically planting "urges." Besides, the one you're thinking of is a reporter. She doesn't
cause INCIDENTS, she makes wildly-inaccurate news articles about them. And about everyone and everything else, for that matter.
> Marisa: OK, no more stalling. Time to go see Reimu.
Right! You set up the usual wards around the
FURIOUSLY-BUBBLING POT so that it doesn't explode or anything. Time to skedaddle!

You are now
REIMU HAKUREI. You are a
HUMAN, and the only living member of the
HAKUREI CLAN. Your job is that of
SHRINE MAIDEN, and as your name suggests, you maintain the
HAKUREI SHRINE. Your job is to perform the many
RITUALS necessary to maintain the
HAKUREI BORDER, engage in
JANITORIAL WORK for the purpose of maintaining the
SHRINE itself, and of course
YOUKAI "EXTERMINATION" whenever there is an
INCIDENT. Your skill in the latter has made you a
LEGEND.
You hardly ever get any
DONATIONS, although they've begun to trickle in a little bit more now that you've started actually paying for goods and services. While a
SHRINE MAIDEN traditionally retires upon
MARRIAGE, there is nobody either to recieve the title when you leave, nor whom you're particularly interested in marrying, and in any event nobody wants a (human) woman after she turns 25, so it looks like you're going to be in this for the long haul.
Any further summary of the current
INCIDENT would be redundant, but you're beginning to think of
MIMA and
YUKARI as being rather ... tiresome. You're aware that today is the beginning of something really excellent for
MARISA and
ALICE, so you're willing to give them a little leeway -- hell, if anyone deserves a break, it's
MARISA -- but you're starting to feel like
MARISA's running a little bit tardy. It's not long enough for you to worry, but maybe you ought to shoot her a buzz.
What will you do first?
