GvE match was interesting up to the first half, but the second half was a real decline for England. God I loathe that defense and yet another lame goalie all the match. Now this is the Germany I love to watch.

And yes, that denied goal is a total shame for the referees part and they deserve to get beaten with a stick, but it's not as staggering as the England coach said, and he even has the balls to claim that he did psychological work. If you did some real work, they could've kept playing and trying regardless of the score just like your USA pals did (and they even outmatched them). Oh, and train a defense and goalies that are worth, y'know... something.

Also, eerie comeback for the '66. Life sometimes works in astonishing ways. 44 years of compensation? Could be...  :V

Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna watch Argentina v Mexico.

I'm not gonna say something like "England would have won if they had actually gotten that goal", but they were a completely different team in the second half by all accounts.  You can't come back from that, it's like being shot in the chest.

Yeah, it's undeniable that it had a strong impact.

Though they still had some good chances in the second half, the German goalie certainly didn't get bored, imo.

Argentina is destroying Mexico.

First goal was another referee blunder as Tevez was 100% offside.

Y'know, the commentators made a good point. Don't want to interrupt the flow of the game? Have the fourth official (that no one seems to know exists :V) have a monitor at his possession and tell the middle ref (with the headsets they always wear) if it's a goal or not using the video replay the fourth official has. Problem solved!

Now...why is FIFA still too stupid enough not to allow it?

First goal of Argentina: totally offside, I love Argentina, but it wasn't a goal.
Second goal: a fucking gift
Third goal: pure fucking win

Because FIFA is under control of Grondona and NOTHING will progress with that fat Don Corleone clone wannabe. He's the same person who didn't want to apply the sensors on the goalkeeper's post to monitor if the ball crosses the line and alert the referee about that.

Also, my father was a football player and he was surprised at how the mexican kept moving and moving and moving even with the cold. Insane. And they started screwing up bad on the second half (Argentina I mean).

Agreed, Tevez missile (the third goal)  was insane. I want more of that, less of the stupid mistakes they started making. And Messi needs to score a goal so I can see how people crown him as the MESSIas (Messiah for the english people  :V ).

Now, Germany is feared as hell here. They don't use a ball, they use panzerfaust. They run the whole match like machines and hardly get tired. We're screwed if they don't put some extra effort to run and keep the ball a bit more.

And Brazil, damn Brazil. One can hope Chile will give them trouble but... It's Brazil.

Tevez missile was pretty cool, but I thought Mexico's one goal was crazy awesome too BV

And now that both the US and Mexico are out, I've got no one to cheer for. Except maybe Germany, so I can watch them kick Argentina's ass.

So do I... But I'm liking the attitude of our players. For the first time they kinda look to be cool headed and try to ignore the disgusting exitism (sp?) of the journalists (yeah, as if it isn't obvious I dislike them) and focus on playing the match. However, they have this shitty tendency of passing the ball to the goalkeeper, who ends up giving it away with a long kick. They have the ability to play the ball properly, that kind of crap is what leads to dangerous moves from the other team.

Anyway, I used to hate Maradona with passion but his comebacks at the press conferences are hilarious. In fact, been a while since I didn't see something funny on TV. The guy might have half of his brain burned and dead but he still delivers anthology phrases.

Ok, Brazil v. Chile and Spain v. Portugal. There were be BLOOD. Chile has Bielsa so I'm wondering if the guy can play a good strategy to make Kak? cry.

Well it's because they're trying to stretch out the opponents a bit more and keep the keeper warm and active. And the keeper has to be good enough to know where the open players are and try to pass it to them. He doesn't have to kick it away all the time. It's the defense that needs to open up for him to pass it to them to retain the ball.

On AvM, yep first one was a total shame again for the ref but... come on, a goal and Mexico goes bananas for the rest of the half?! Talk about lack of concentration...
The second one was unforgivable (Osorio, you fail), and the third one and Mexico goals were awesome.

Also, Netherlands v Slovakia was made of fruitwins. Now THAT was a match where nobody cut something and even Slovakia had some clear shots and would've scored if it wasn't for that awesome awesome Netherlands goalie and if Slovakia had a better defense. They totally deserved that last minute penalty, even if it didn't change the result.

Germany v Argentina Re-bout is going to be really exciting. I still remember that day at school where I brought my radio and said "screw the math, I'm gonna listen >:3". Everyone was following me for the penalty kicks. It's not clear, but I do see a victory for Germany here.

Now Brazil v Chile. I really hope Chile has awesome up their sleeve or else it's going to be dreadful to watch.

There goes my predictions which were so far spot on =.=

Also I was reading today's newspaper while going to school:

Reads: "THEY FEAR US AGAIN"
subtext: "Or rather: Arjen Robben. The fearfactor it's called. Wonder what's that in Brazilian.

Why is Holland boasting again. As if Brazil is going to be scared.
