Thanks

Something I noticed in my drawings is that they look dirty when I change the brightness and contrast to make the drawing more visible.

If you use Photoshop, use "Levels" instead. That way you'll be able to adjust the blacks and whites and midtones separately.

Utsuho

Angry hell-ravens would be an awesome game. Probably involving Utsuho firing subterranean bird-life at Kasha stealing her corpses or something like that...

I decided to try colouring seriously using SAI.
The results were amazing.
Click the pic for higher quality.

Btw this was from my own drawing.

Srry if it's too big.
Still not done yet as you can tell.
Feedback needed.

It looks kinda weird for me, almost as if the transparency was removed from the image

What about the actual colouring?
And I'm not good with layers.
At one point it made 17 layers when I originally had 10.
And if Remi looks thin it's because her wings havent been done yet.
And did you click the pic for higher quality?

So many ands.......

Don't worry, if I'm seriously trying, the picture can take 300+layers at the halfway point. (if I didn't merge)
I should stop doing that,my laptop crashes every time I go past 50 without merging.

What I mean is that in my screen it kinda looks like the image was saved in a format that does not support transparency. Is it supposed to look like this? At first I thought it was because I was looking at a low quality image, but when I click to see the high quality version I get the same image. It's kinda like when I make an image in Gimp that has transparency and when I open the image in paint, I can see stuff I erased in the transparent area.

It's a JPG, and JPGs don't support any sort of transparency.

Lol I meant it made them for no reason.
I didn't do it deliberately.

And I'm not sure what the transperancy does, care to inform me?
If 'her waist is thin it's because the wings are going there and I drew the dress around the outline instead of doing the dress and putting the wing layer on top(which would've been a better idea.)

And I'm not sure what the transperancy does, care to inform me?

This image of Youmu is in PNG format and has transparency. With transparency, it shows what's behind the image instead of having a black or white square behind the image. Most image editing programs let you know let you know your image has transparency if you see a checkered board behind it.

This next image is JPG which does not support transparency, you can see that there is a black square around Youmu. You can also see that Youmu's colors are outside the outline, this can be  because of 2 things, that area is semi-transparent in the originial image to make some sort of an aura effect or it can be that it was painted in that area and the eraser was used.

If you still have your image in the format with the layers seperated, try saving it in PNG and upload it again.

I see what you mean, that is supposed to be the background but I haven't done it yet that's why.

Anyway I finished Remi.
Now to do Sakuya

I got something new.

Tewi is causing some trouble for Hatate
[nsfw]http://i55.tinypic.com/nfmnd.jpg[/nsfw]
I'm starting to not hate the things I draw now. When I drew Hatate's right leg, I erased it because it didn't look right and I thought "Great, this is one of those moments where I can't get a body part to look right unless I have an image for reference." But to my surprise, I managed to make it look somewhat decent on my third try. I'm improving faster than I expected considering the little practice I've been getting.

I find it kinda weird that I like Hata-tan. I'm not very fond of character interpretations whose whole schtick is being emo or being a masochist. For example I see Tenshi as a kid who constantly likes to cause trouble instead of the very masochistic character that most people make her look like. I think it's Hata-tan's color scheme that makes me like her in that interpretation.

The thing with Hata-tan is how accurately some of her artists show the way she is completely strung out with her obsession...so completely broken...I love it
