Now watch me reduce you all to a set of meaningless numbers:
Frequency of type appearance (both types and subtypes taken):
Achiever: 30
Conqueror: 71 (!)
Daredevil: 14
Mastermind: 34
Seeker: 35
Socialiser: 9
Survivor: 8
Frequency of exception appearance:
None: 36
No commitment: 10
No wonder: 3
No fear: 27
No pressure: 7
No mercy: 17
No problems: 3
No punishment: 4
I am not terribly surprised at the Conqueror appearing so often, considering the community is centred around a high-skill, high-challenge game. I wondered a bit why Daredevil wasn't higher, but I suppose that stems from Touhou being ultimately about pattern-recognition, as opposed to high-speed twitch responses.
There is an obvious correlation between the No Fear exception's high frequency and the low frequency of Survivor. Seems that not many people actively enjoy horror, and, in fact, most of you actively dislike feeling threatened or frightened. I would imagine most people here play games to wind down and relax, and/or, perhaps, to enforce a feeling of control over one's surroundings and situation, which things like survival horror are specifically made to deprive.
I am highly amused by the low frequency of the Socialiser type, combined with No mercy being the third-highest exception to appear (second-highest if one takes None as an uninformative data point). I think the conclusion for this one writes itself.
There you go. Now you're no longer people. You're statistics. How does it feel? :V
