Well, how about this? Having people able to contact me at any time I'm on the computer is akin to people coming in the room and interrupting you while doing things. I go on the Internet when I want to talk. :x

I hate that too. I had friends on another forum get me on Y!M for a while, but I stopped signing on just for that reason.

It's grossly overinflated due to some glitch in the system that happened in the first wipe of the board that doubled everyone's post count that they had in CPMC. The reason I wasn't affected was because Edible reset my visible post count to zero soon afterwards. If you look at Purvis' past posts from his profile it's closer to 2600. I don't mind though, because it makes me feel like less of a spammer.

DONUT. AIM, AND ANY OTHER IM SERVICE USES THE INTERNET. So don't say "I'll go on the internet to talk to people", when going on AIM is going on the internet, to yes, talk to people.

Oh, and Ruro will probably want you to use Pidgin instead of the official AIM client.
