That first statement holds for like every single game though. You can win every single game through resource management alone.
I personally dislike homing. I find needle (ReimuB) far more practical in this and nearly every other installment, just because it finishes off bosses that much faster.

Tsugumi is my biggest roadblock, then Iyo, then stage 4 bosses. But once you get past those Fumi is maybe a 1 bomb fight at worst and Shion is just lolzy.

Kuroji team is defintely stronger than Shrine team but Kuroji team has Salami's awkward shot to deal with and also the reverse flash bomb (and Salami's flash bomb isnt too fantastic either. They don't have much going for them survival wise other than not being the weakest shots (Salami's spread is very strong for a spread). Shrine team at least has a soul autocollector, fairly okay bombs, straight forward shottypes and also more bombs per life.

MoF Normal 1cc achieved! There was no real danger in Stages 1 and 2 and I spammed bombs after Stage 3. On Stage 6, I went from 5 lives to 2, I was trying too hard to capture everything and forgot to bomb. I'm too used to homing Reimu, I spent most of the stages expecting everything to die when I'm not even shooting at them, cost me a couple of lives.

On this run, I tried ReimuB for the first time. Yep, I think I'll stick with needle Reimu from now on.

Now that I've used bomb-spam, MoF is quite simple, although the bosses require more skillful dodging than IN and TD. I think my next run will be PCB. I've made a couple of attempts already, Stage 5 destroys me.

In mof I feel like the game is not too hard until virtue of wind god. I could I have max lives up to it than I lose 90% if not all my lives. If you can 1cc after that that is an amazing accomplishment

Made it to Yuyuko on a no-focus run... with Marisa. She's ridiculously fun to use, just because she zooms around so fast she hits every bullet in sight, and you don't have to feel bad because those deaths were going to happen anyway. (It still hurts when I mess up on the really easy stuff, though.) Who knows, a little bit more consistency and I might even get a Marisa 1cc.

Got a 630 Million run in Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom's Extra stage with Reisen, 7 lives left did help quite a lot. I think if I want to continue scoring this I'll need to look a bit more into certain grazes, like Hecatia's first spellcard supergraze for example.

Video Also planning to do NMNB attempts sometime, think that might actually take a while too.

Got a Shining Shooting Star normal 1cc a couple of days ago using Reimu. I did have a minor derp moment during the first part of the run as I thought that the blue stars gave me bomb pieces and the green stars gave me points when it was the reverse of that.

The only major problem with the replay is not my gameplay, its the fact the game lags to 40 - 45 fps during the stage 1-4 boss battles and it lags to 30 fps during the stage 5 and 6 boss battles. Next time, I'll play it on my laptop and it'll hopefully run better then it does on my desktop.

Finally finished all 6 routes of Great Fairy Wars on normal. Time to attempt the extra.

IMO the difficulty order is roughly: B1 > B2 > A2 > C2 > A1 > C1 (hardest to easiest). I might be off by a little, but this is probably a good estimate.

Got a really good Shining Shooting Star Normal 1CC with Reimu. Did so well that towards the end I started exclusively picking up bomb pieces because I had too many lives in stock. Even perfected the stage 5 boss which I really wasn't expecting at all, or trying for; very nearly timed out the penultimate card by accident but wound up with a capture at literally the last second. Would've perfected the final boss on top of that if not for a dumb deathbomb at the last spell. Full 6 million points of difference; goes to show what knowing the game and figuring out how to play fullscreen can do.

Lunatic kicked my ass last time I tried it so I think I'll go for either Hard or Extra next. Was going to get Magical Singular Day but this game is good stuff and doing a really good job at keeping me entertained so I'll probably put it off for a while.

I did IN hard yesterday. Was a bit harder than I thought, seeing as I had multiple game overs to Kaguya.

I'm very happy to say that I've beaten LoLK's extra stage, with Reisen.

Admittedly, this wasn't that difficult. I decided to randomly try playing the extra stage, and my first attempt got to her timeout spell, and the second attempt got to her final spell. Thankfully I beat it on the third attempt, so I wasn't too mad about dying on the final spellcard.

I've always wanted to beat this extra stage, and I'm glad that I finally have. :3

Since I actually find this stage fun, I'll probably aim for beating it with either Reimu, Marisa, or Sanae. ~~or maybe all, we'll see.~~

Hi there! I see what you're doing. (What you're doing is playing one of my favorite games.)

The annotations are mostly good. The one advice I have is to slow down a little. Notwithstanding that you're playing at 90FPS and at the beginning a lot of things happen quickly, your average viewer doesn't want to have to pause the video every time you say something. If you can display an annotation longer without it becoming stale, do so.

Shining Shooting Star Extra clear. Not much to say about it, just glad it's over after dying twice to the last card. Not really a big fan of this stage (maingame is a lot better here), so if I keep playing this game it'll be to go for Hard/Lunatic clears. Might work in some timeouts too, we'll see.

I have finally cleared MS with someone that isn't Mima.

Gosh, I'm so happy. I really don't play MS all that much, due to how much I hate stage 4, but now that I'm playing it again, it wasn't as bad as I thought. Playing in fullscreen really, really helps. :V

I used Marisa, and I'm actually really proud of the run. No miss Luize, no miss Alice, NMNB Yuki and Mai, and then NMNB Mai by herself, which really surprised me, and then one miss Yumeko. I died on Shinki four times, but honestly, I don't really care. I'm just I cleared this game with someone that isn't Mima.

That all being said, I'm still not looking forward to attempting for a 1cc with Yuuka and Reimu, but I'm sure it won't be that bad.

IN Extra clear. Though I'm not very happy with how it happened. I got up late and decided to play for a bit before going out for breakfast, never a good idea. Before the run itself I was making stupid mistakes all over the place, usually immediately restarting. Once I got to Mokou and died twice to her first card, also a restart. Then I finally got a run where I did the stage part within my acceptability threshold... and still made stupid mistakes everywhere. Deaths to two of the early nonspells. Two deaths to Forgiving Shrine, of all things. And yet somehow, that was the successful run. I guess this stage really does have enough resources and easy cards that you can play while still tired and hungry and still make it through

Oh, I should've posted my Cirno Day related accomplishment here yesterday.

In Touhou 14's Spell Practice, I managed to use Sakuya A to capture Cirno's Ice Sign "Ultimate Blizzard" (Lunatic) in under 5 seconds, to get the full spell card bonus of ⑨ million. Took me 329 tries over the previous few days before I pulled it off, and I was wondering for a while if it was even possible, since I was only occasionally getting clears under 6 seconds, but then eventually... I suddenly got a 4.76-second clear!

(My spell card history for that spell with Sakuya A now sits at 149/329.)

I recently got this nice run of PCB Extra.

Also, here's an update on my progress with StB shenanigans. (The green squares on the right represent no-focus, no-charge and no-vertical restrictions, by the way.)
