Ramsey seems rather irreplaceable, but honestly, Wales is simply good all around. I loved how they thrashed Russia and confidently turned the Belgium game around, they can beat Portugal even without Ramsey.
And speaking of Italy and Germany... I don't believe anyone can accurately predict today's result other than by sheer luck. Two excellent teams, best to just relax and watch. There are some possible injuries for Italy (Candreva and de Rossi) and no absences for Germany, so perhaps this will be the tipping point, but still, I'd rather sit on a pincushion than bet money on this game.
I sure hope so, the Welsh thoroughly deserve to be among the best two if they keep that magnificent play up they delivered so far. Similarly to Iceland, they weren't intimidated or shocked by Belgium's early lead and played confidently, which in the end did good for them.
About GERITA: If you ask me what to suggest for a possible outcome, I'd be completely clueless. Italy, under Conte, is both very powerful and unpredictable, being able to attack very dangerously and defend like a solid wall. Germany was rather unspectacular during the group stage, but is improving in the knockout phase and starting to show their real strength. However, I think the real hurdle are both teams' goalies. Neuer and Buffon are both incredibly good at their position, being able perform some really dramatic saves in case their defenses are conquered.
The atmosphere's already getting tense over here in Germany, and from what I can see at the kiosks around me in Munich, the newspapers keep speculating about the upcoming match with a lot of, partly frantic, comparisons between both teams' rosters and performances so far.
I appreciate L?w's view of not thinking about all the defeats in the past against Italy in major tournaments, which he explained at a press conference few days ago, and that should mentally stabilize his team, although they all already said they don't care about said defeats, and keep looking forward.
JOGI komm diesmal schaffst du das! This sure is gonna be something.
