Spent the entirety of today Kai'ing Satsuki and Mikazuki. I'll probably run E-2 on Easy tomorrow. Not feeling Medium at the moment.

Apparently, Thomas the Tank Engine isn't one to take crap from anyone.

I haven't had time to write the report yet, but I'm on E-2... and I should have that done tonight if all goes well.  And maybe I'll get to posting about it later...

Kancolle Fall 2015 Transport Event: Night of the Hunt? - Day 2 Let's slaughter the prey as we make our deliveries! http://original.livestream.com/totaku

And Stream done, it went WAAY over.

Let me give you the summary thus far...

E-1 - Preparing for the Transport Operation: How to bullboze over a simple fleet with minumal effort.

This starting operation by far the biggest what I ever faced. You're littlerally sent in with a stong combine fleet and as an end result... this map is going to be of very little concern....

I opted for a Surface Task froce to care of the operation and used the following:

Fleet 1:
Kongou, Haruna, Aoba, Kinugasa, Ryuuhou and Houshou

(Yes I went in with a big handicap... intentionally, just to see what danger this map posed to me.)

Fleet 2:
Hayasui, Yahagi, Shiyatsuyu, Murasame, Harusame, Atago

Basiclly all the fleets here presented no threat.....

By using this fleet set up I could easily plow to the boss 99% of the time. The boss is a Ne-Class Heavy Cruiser, which as we know is Tough and Super dodgy.

Along with the boss was a Destoyer Hime, and a bunch of late model destoyers.

End result... It all came to an end way too fast.

And I wasn't event trying during this session. So yeah... it was just a complete snoozefest as I blew through everything....

So with the completion of E-1 I got.... A Carpenter Fairy, x2 Irakos, A reinforcement expansion, and a skilled lookout!

So yeah nice prize for a start up map that felt like I ran over it without even trying....

E-2 - The Battle of Kolombangara (or Korone Hagira in this case) AKA How to transport supplies and win doing it.

This is an event map that comes STRAIGHT out of WWII history. If you didn't bother to read up on the history involving this map. You're in for a BAD TIME. As this map requires you to have a VERY SPECIFIC fleet set up to make it as successful as possible.

Long story short, who you need in your fleet is...

Jintsuu, Hamakaze, Yukikaze, Satsuki and Mikazuki... you can have also one more destroyer. In my case I used Akebono to get her out of the way.

If you're missing or not using some members of the fleet, you're bound to get misdirected into either an extra sub node, or a more dangerous node. So to ensure you go the safest route, you have to take this specific group of ship girls!

The first note you'll confront with this team is a batch of LM Destoyers... they can be either really obnoxious, or easy going. Depending on the confrontation and formation.

The Second node you go to is a night battle where you fight 3 heavy cruisers and 3 DDs.... this battle here is straight out of the battle of Kolmongara itself in a sense. The enemies won't pose much of a threat here, but be aware they may score a lucky hit at times... especially on your two Mutsuki-class girls if you bring them here....

The third node you reach is the supply point... this part is the most crucial part of the event...

When you reach this node, you'll obtain supplies. but you can also get more if you use Steel Drum Canisters

When you reach this point, get the supplies and then reach the boss node. In order to win the map, you have to make it through the boss node with A rank or higher.

Afterward the fight you're rewarded with how many supplies you bring back... depending on the rank (A or higher) and the supply containing materials you use (drums and Daihatsus). You will earn a number of points. You objective is to clear out the point gauge by drop off supplies in the location till the bar is depleted... once depleted, you'll automaticlly win the map... You do not need to defeat the boss of this map to do this.

As for the boss herself.... you face off against....

Light Cruiser Hime

As you can probably tell this is the Abyssal persona of Jintsuu since you fight her right around where she sunk at.

The CL hime is slightly obnoxious but in a more unusual way.

In day battle she can be painful to some ship girls since she's at risk of damaging you. But she's more of a problem if you fight her in night battle with other ships present.... because.... she has a searchlight. And she can use this to draw the attention of your ship girls to tank hits while the other ships can sometimes get a chance to score shots at you.

She comes with a pair of CLs and some LM DDs. But in the final Transport drop, she'll come with 3 LM Elite DDs and also be a lot stronger.

Sadly I could not kill her in the last fight, but as expected I completed the map since I scored an A rank

So as for my rewards, I got in Mamiya, 2x Reinforcement expansions, x2 Steel Drum Canisters and a Repair Goddess.

So yeahnot too bad ATM.

So after Kai'ing Satsuki and Mikazuki and switching to Easy, I took E-2 out in three sorties. Gonna tackle E-3 next and then after that I'll commence Operation Deutschland. Have there been any reports as to whether Graf's drop rate is the same across all difficulties or not? Or at the very least how often she drops on Easy and Medium?

Yup, got word of that last night. I just started E-3 last night so I haven't had a chance to play with the PT Imp Groups yet. But I have posted my reports on E-1 -E-2 now.

Yeah Graf, confirmed to drop on all difficulties at the boss on S Rank Victory as far as I'm aware. However I should note this.
While I was correct that Graf Zeppelin can attack at night it turns out in a dev tweet, Graf Zeppelin actually suffers from a display error. According to the Devs, Graf Zeppelin is not suppose to use her planes in night battle... she is however suppose to use her guns during night battle. So the display of her using plane is sadly... incorrect. The damage based upon her damage from the guns she uses in the fight.

With this known it should be noted that Graf can probably benifit most by being able to bring some planes for the day fight and some guns for the night battle. Since she's a carrier, keep in mind her usages of guns are very limited. She is still however the first carrier to be able to fight in a night battle. (Just in a way we wouldn't normaly imagine)

Quick question for the people that've gone through E-4. Which formation have you been using at the boss node? I feel like the anti-sub formation is the most obvious choice, but at the same time there're still the other enemies with the boss and I want to make sure I can take them out too.

I actually just finished checking the modifiers (and I actually did manage to kill the boss in two hits when I got to her with the ASW formation), but I think I'm gonna try the formation similar to the double-line only because there's a better chance of dealing damage to the other ships as well. We'll see how it goes I suppose.

EDIT: Yup, double-line equivalent takes the cake it seems. Allows me to hit harder against the carrier or the battleship hime since the main fleet can't target the subs, and then if my escorts can't take out the subs during the day, they can do it in the night battle since the whole "can't hit a sub at night" thing was done away with for this node.

Part Finale: http://www.twitch.tv/duckieplucky/v/27014890

Sakawa drops on boss node Easy mode+

and a wild Tanikaze:

For those doing E-5 KILLING 20 PTSD BOATS by using the H node (Day battle node) and L node (Night battle node) makes the boss VERY EASY TO KILL, I used the Sendai + Shigure combo to achieve this doing so gets you this:

I'm tempted to say it's something regarding a figure due to the 1/700 part, but who knows. I doubt it's a Kai Ni as they never show the face in my experience.

I'm tempted to say it's something regarding a figure due to the 1/700 part, but who knows. I doubt it's a Kai Ni as they never show the face in my experience.

To explain this in further, the post Ruka posted that had Nagato. Is actually about a 1/700 model boat figure that the Kancolle staff is promoting since they the rights to do promotional art for it.

To explain, the ship they're going to sell is the 1/700 model of the "Younger" Nagato. AKA Nagato following her first remodel (pre-WWII Nagato).

Back in 1924, 4 years after Nagato was put into service. Nagato went through a remodel due to a seires of complications regarding her smoke bellowing out from the boilers and choking the crew who were on board. The Japanese spent time trying to come up with an effective way to construct a smoke funnel that would work efficiently and what they came up with was a smoke funnel that had a bent shape to it.

This however would in the end prove pointless and by 1930, that funnel would be replace once the installed 10 oil based Kampon boilers on Nagato. (which would be close to what Nagato would be by the time WWII happend.

So in other words...That drawing is of "Pre-WWII Nagato" as you can clearly see the bent smokestack on her back.

So no, it's DEFINITELY NOT a Kai Ni. It's more of a direct nod to history (since Nagato was important in Japan's history)

I'm also going to write up my report on E-3 and E-4 soon because this report is going to be filled with ALOT of depth to it because I decided to explore especially for E-4 a strategy many players never chose to do that was INTENDED to be the way to fight the Submarine Hime. (Hint: Everyone seems to bruteforce her... but there is a more effeicent strategy that people could of used that would save so much hassle.)

Running through E-3 Medium, was tough getting to the boss node without a pre-boss support, despite a high-level escort fleet. Anyways, Umikaze dropped. Pleasant surprise.

Ah, thanks for clarifying.

In other news, I've found Hayashimo, Kiyoshimo, Souryuu, and Mutsu so far while hunting Graf Zeppelin, but I'd already had the last three. I forgot how mentally tiring this kind of thing is, of course I should have known it wouldn't be that easy to find her on Easy mode.

Gyahaha, Pringles only drops M node E-4 easy on a particular enemy composition. So unless you lock in final dance on easy for that enemy comp there's a chance you can arrive for 0% drop for Pringles. It's such a dick punch for players that cleared E-4 easy already.

I'm burning everything for Graf at the moment resetting easy then for Pringles.

How new are you? Cause I think in some sense, E-2 should be easy if you have a few drums and equip a few good pieces of equipment on yourself to help you in the fight. Mainly 2 main guns on most of your girls, if you have Yukikaze, arm her with 2-3 Torpedoes. that should do the trick. You just need to kill at least 4 ships to reduce the gauge.

I'm not very strong and haven't even made it to the boss node in E-1 myself.  I basically gave up and am mostly doing 1-5 for now, with occasional 2-4 attempts to break it up(and 2-4's EXP is much higher than 1-5 but 1-5 is basically effortless EXP so there's that.

What fleet are you using? Cause that might make a difference. I used two fast BB, 2 CA, 2 CVL, + 1 CL, 4DD , 1 CA. that worked fine for me there.
