Hiragana are mostly for grammar-purposes and used in simple writing to write out the Kanji-phonetics.
Katakana are generally for imported words/names.
The names of all the characters you catch/seal in the game are in either Kata- or Hiragana (exception being either Yuugenmagan or Singyoku, one of them is in letters).
Dialogue is standard Japanese, meaning Kanji & Katana for words/names, Hiragana for grammar; generally speaking.
Oh, so Katakana is used for names from other contries like Alice or Marisa or words. Hiragana is used for phrasis for example: Today was new year's eve, and Kanji is used for Someone's Name. In a Fantasy Maiden Wars like example then it would be like this
Name of Character ( Kanji ): Phrase ( Hiragana or Katakana depending on the word )
But for character names that such as Alice or Marisa then it would be written in Katakana.
Am i right? Well i think i will join the story translation then, the files aren't encrypted and most of the game's story is inside text files so it's easy to change.
