The first goal almost looked like it was given the way it went through the wall where the guy lifted his leg. The 2nd one was pretty though.

EDIT: 6-2 denied by the final whistle.

Not a particularly emotional reaction, though.

I have no idea any more what is going on in this World Cup.

Seconded. Let see:

- Current world and european champion Spain absolutely wrecked by Netherlands, curbstomped by Chile and eliminated

- Brazil with home advantage suffering in both matches (especially Mexico)

- England losing both matches and eliminated

- Portugal rekt by Germany (expected, but not so heavily) and in very dire situation in his group

- France curbstomping everything in her path (like Portugal, expected but not so one-sided)

- Colombia like a lesser France

- Costa Rica defeating both Uruguay and Italy and eliminating 2 major teams (considering one between Italy and Uruguay will go home)

and all this when the SECOND MATCHES aren't even finished yet.....

..... bookmakers are probably about to rip their hairs out  :V

P.S. personal addendum: Australia withstanding the Robben train LIKE A BOSS (i don't care if they lost, that was a great match)

Costa Rica haven't played England yet.

I mean I know the result is a foregone conclusion seeing as we lost to both of the teams they've beaten but still.

I don't even remember who put the above in my sig. [Wasn't me] Nor do I understand why I keep it here anymore.
Those two facts sum me up pretty well.

I honestly hate it when Argentina wins like this. It's just an overwhelming feeling of injustice and dissatisfaction.

Mannschaft is strong, already 1-0.

Edit: Didn't take long, Ghana punished.

Also what is it with Germany's legs? They drop to the ground way too much. How to walk.

Actually doesn't this hurt America? This would put everyone but Portugal at 3 pts going into the match tomorrow.

Unless you're saying that this proves Portugal sucks, in which case I choose to remain cautious. I knew Ghana was better than their result against us showed.

Ghana is looking very impressive tonight, but Germany's defending feels somewhat lackluster too. Oh well, I'm rooting for Germany, so I'm happy with Klose's equaliser (especially since he was born in Poland).

Germany is weaker in their defense. You can see that in many games :)

But no doubt, Ghana is having a great game there.

well played Ghana, wp

Sigh, they used to be so much better in this respect. Euro 1996 - three goals conceded; World Cup 2002 - also three goals, two of them in the lost final vs Brazil.

Germany tried to keep it slow in the first half, it wasn't so exiting.

The swap to Klose and Schweinsteiger was a good decision. You saw that Ghana had respect.

not much wine left though

A few minutes into the second half I made the observation that this game so far is being boring as sin.

Then Germany scored a goal and the game suddenly became extremely interesting. Probably one of the more exciting matches I've seen so far, if you only count the second half. :V

Edit: who the hell was the random shirtless guy with the writing on him that randomly got onto the playing field?

So with Germany at 4, USA has a chance to not only get a lead in the group but to also officially eliminate Portugal from the WC. Oh boy this will be glorious if that happens.
