Omg. No. Not like that. OMG.
I just finished playing a very weird game. And after roles flipped, my first thought was what is this i don't even..? My second thought was, i don't want to play this bastard shit again. It was advertised as a normal game. Imagine, that everyone, save for 2 players, received "you're a townie with random night action (sleep, cop, doc, redirect, roleblock)" role PM. Every night 4 of these "townies" are switched to "mafia goon" role. One of them is randomly choosen to perform a night kill. If one of these "goons" who is actually performing night kill targets one of those spefic not random townies, mafia roles are fixed to the current players and they actually can talk to each other from that point on. If switched mafia goon is lynched before they are made into team, it stays that way. Oh, and there was body-hopping SK too.
And mafia actually won without even realizing it. Again, what the actual fuck? How do you even think about designing a game like this?
