are there any lynches?
and are the groups made public from the beginning or do people claim it themselves?
No lynches, groups aren't made public.
What if everyone shoots each other? Does scum win if they're last to die in that case? Do dayvigs still finish if the shooter is dead?
If the shooter is dead, the dayvig ends. If everyone fires simultaneously, the first one to finish will shoot and then all timers are reset.
Trying to think of a way to make it balanced and work. I thought about giving EVERYONE a dayvig, but then everyone'd just shoot everyone and no one'd be any the wiser. Pairs of 2 outs scum, groups of 3 prepares scum comfortably for fakeclaims and such.
Alternate idea: groups of two or three, scum aren't paired with each other but with townies. Scum know who each other are and stuff. People flip with their group number.
So for example
Shadoweh/Raikaria
ActionDan/Dormio
Serela/BigBangMeteor
Shadoweh and Raikaria flip as "group 1", AD and Dormio as "group 2", Serela and BBM as "group 3", but no alignment if scum is one team (Serela/BBM). But if Serela is scum, and Shadoweh is scum, then people flip with alignment only, meaning if Shadoweh can convince Raikaria to shoot BBM, then Serela has free reign to shoot.
EDIT:
The idea behind the game is this:
TARGET
If your shooter is town, you can suicide for them and save them the shot.
If your shooter is scum, you can refuse to suicide and waste their shot for them.
SHOOTER
If your target is town, they will suicide for you and save you the shot.
If your target is scum, they will take the shot and eliminate one of themselves from the game.
If a Townie misjudges his shooter as Scum, then town has lost a valuable bullet. Scum wins when Town runs out of bullets. Maybe refresh bullet if it hits scum.
