really i wasn't calling dormio hero of town for no reason, if his role was anything like he presented it as, he could've solo'd the entire scum team

Well, the problem is that he couldn't have lynched scum on D1. Vote limit and all that. PX on D2 was possible. Buuuut. "Let's conserve votes and kill Raikaria". =)

I'm not sure how this role is called, but i remember one game, where one player could redirect all votes from one player to another player.

Those roles have to be used with caution though, town's most important power is their word and vote and taking that away may demotivate some players. If you wanna screw around with people's votes you can have a limited persuader like a recent SF had, it was limited in that it couldn't put down any votes past L-2 with the ability and it was funny to see the chaos/paranoia ensue.

Just saying because seeing one of these every once in a while is refreshing, but if lynch or vote hijackers became common roles I'd find it really annoying.

The limitations should probably be more obvious too, Dormio was actually pretty limited by how town was voting (Which is why he never just lynched CF7's face), but he basically told everyone else they didn't fucking matter so they gave up and bought it immediately. The only hint of how his role worked was flavor (It's somewhat similar to how Change The World works in the game).

Except scum, of course.

Whenever I post in Mafia I feel like I'm incredibly genuine and thinking things through and trying as hard as I can to express my thoughts, but no one ever reads them or cares about it. Like, people call me a "strong" player, but all I'm really good at is not getting myself lynched. I've never been able to convince people quite as much or get them to read my posts and consider my arguments. Game is too hard. I think I'm going to take a hiatus again.

When I read your case and vote on Dormio it was incredibly good posting. If I was town I might have voted with you possibly.

At this point it feels pretty safe to say I'm not going to hit a reasonable amount of signups (If I don't get at minimum 4 in the next several days I'm going to get another /out, and I don't really want to run 9p instead; I'd settle for 12p, but after that I'd have to downgrade to 9, and, mmph :C) so I think someone else going ahead and hosting a 9p game right now would be a better idea than futilely letting my own signups continue.

I have a 8p/9p *thing* in mind that should at the very least be interesting roles-wise. I'm not sure if it's balanced, but yeah.

Remember this? It took around five hours to write a program for the setup I have in mind from scratch. I'm pretty happy with the results, and it shouldn't be too hard to add more complicated roles to the hierarchy for future uses.

Assuming the actual game would be more town-sided, I can definitely roll with this.

Doctor Wars Mafia will have 9 players. There will be role shenanigans, but don't expect to be able to solve the game that way. All the standard rules apply.

...Wait, what the hell is this? Well whatever. One has nothing to do with the other.
