The Ming Dynasty continued to weaken and by 1926, the nation fell into Civil War. The Koreans took an advantage and decided to invade the rest of Manchuria. Soon the Koreans established a puppet state, the Empire of Manchuria, in 1928 out of the captured Chinese lands. Seiga was disgusted at Korea's actions, but continued to focus on fighting off the Chinese Communists, though she would launch an attack on Korea if they invaded again. In 1936, Korea launched a new invasion of China, setting off the Sino-Korean War. Soon enough, the Communists, the Kuomintang, Kaku Seiga, and Mononobe no Futo went on to fight against the Korean invasion.

Meanwhile in Europe, the Spanish Civil War took place, and resulted in the Republicans winning with enough support. Germany annexed Austria and the Sudetenland. Germany also signed the Anti-Comintern Pact with Korea and later, Italy.

In 1939, the Second World War breaks out. In Europe, the war progresses similarly like OTL. In Asia, Korea continued fighting against China to some success. In the meantime they launched an invasion against the European colonies, which was a success. Soon puppet governments were set up in Indonesia and Sarawak (with the latter having composed all of British-held Borneo) while the Territory of Papua was directly annexed into Korea. Burma went on to join on Korea's side, and both invaded Siam.

Siam would fall in 1940, followed by Vietnam, and puppet governments were also established there. Korea also went on to conquer the Kingdom of Hawaii in 1941. Back in China, however, both Futo and Seiga were very successful and managed to push them out. Korea, not wanting to lose any more military, went to negotiate a peace treaty to China. Seiga and the Chinese Government agreed to it, but demanded that the puppet of Manchuria be dissolved and annexed back to China, and also some land would be ceded. The Koreans hastily agreed to the offer and ceded Korea-occupied China back to them along with a small piece of Korea's own land. Now that Seiga was no longer fighting the Koreans, she did wish Futo good luck in liberating Japan from them.

With that, Futo moved back to Japan, and went on to help the Japanese Liberation Army fight against Korean rule. She managed to achieve some success, but the Koreans managed to gain the upper hand. Futo wouldn't give up however, and continued to launch surprise attacks against them.

In 1943, Korea went on to invade Sri Lanka and later the British Raj. While Sri Lanka fell easily, they had a tough time invading India and were met with heavy resistance. After the British victory at the Battle of Kochi (Cochin), the British and Indians went on to push the Koreans out of India.

Meanwhile back in Japan, a Korean Military General managed to stumble across upon Gensokyo. The Korean General went to have a look around and soon headed toward Youkai Mountain. Not too far away, the Misfortune Goddess had spotted the person, and went to block his path. The Korean General, thinking this might be an ambush, went to try and shoot her. However she dodged it, and went on to launch an attack. Seeing as this was no ordinary person, the General went on to run away and left Gensokyo.

That same General went to report his finding to the Korean Government, and soon a Korean Army Division was sent to investigate. The Division went into Gensokyo, and looked for anything suspicious. A few went down the path to Youkai Mountain, and soon approached the same Misfortune Goddess. "Just who are you?", one of them asked.

"I'm Hina Kagiyama, the Misfortune Goddess. What brings you here? Are you lost?"

"No, we're investigating. You see, one of our Generals had stumbled upon this land, and was attacked."

"Oh, I know who you're talking about. I've blocked his path. I don't know what his issue was, and proceeded to try and shoot me. When I tried to fight back, he fled."

"So, you're the one who tried to ambush the General."

Just when the military personnel was about to draw their weapons, some Yōkai came out of nowhere and attacked them by surprise. Soon, Yukari had appeared as well. "Looks like the time has come.", she spoke.

Hina nodded her head as she realised what was going on.

Within the next few minutes, other members of the Division were also attacked by Yōkai. News of this reached the Korean Government, and ordered an invasion of this strange land. Within a few hours, the Imperial Korean Army and Air Force begun attacking Gensokyo.

This event would be the complete turning point for Korea, and would lead to their downfall.

Within an hour after the invasion, the Gensokyo residents managed to destroy most of the Korean Army. Tanks were quickly destroyed by the spell cards and danmaku. Meanwhile the Air Force were easily destroyed by Nagae Iku. Huge causalities for the Korean side were climbing in numbers while on the Gensokyo side, it was quite small. A few days later, the Koreans were finally pushed out of the lands. However, Yukari didn't stop there, and her, along with the other Gensokyo residents, went on to liberate Japan from the Koreans.

Within minutes, the Gensokyo residents fought against the Koreans in Japan. Soon, many Japanese residents went to help the Japanese Liberation Army and attacked many Korean government buildings and military bases. A week later, all of Honshū was freed, and another week later, the rest of Japan was freed, including Kyūshū. With that, the island nation declared independence, and a new government was installed.

However, it wouldn't end there. The Gensokyo residents would help the Allies and take out Korea for good. The British, with huge help, managed to take Sri Lanka back, as well as the Territory of Papua. Soon the Korean puppets were invaded, and said governments were overthrown. Burma, a Korean ally, was taken over and put under temporary British Rule. By 1944, the Korean Empire was falling apart. Korean Alaska and Hwacheon were invaded and occupied by Canada while the former German territories in the Pacific that were owned by Korea are now occupied by Australia. The Philippines was also freed and put under British rule.

In September of that year, the British, Spanish, Australian, Canadian, Indian forces, along with Yakumo Yukari, Nagae Iku, Mononobe no Futo, and Fujiwara no Mokou launched an invasion of Jeju Island, and from there, into the Korean Heartland itself. It was tedious at first, but with enough strength and power, they managed to gain a foothold. The forces continued to march onward, and a few months later, the Battle of Seoul took place. This was one of the longest battles yet, though within a week the city was captured. However, the government had already relocated to Kaech'ŏn.

Finally, by December of 1945, most of Korea fell under the Allied forces, and only a few Northern parts of the Korean Peninsula were left. On the fifteenth of the month, Prime Minister Hong Myeon-hui decided to give in and officially surrendered. With that, the War in Asia came to a close, and Korea became occupied by Britain, Spain, Japan, Yukari and Futo, and was divided into four zones.

Meanwhile in Europe, the Soviets, British, French, and Mexicans had defeated Germany by January 1946, and the Second World War officially ended. Soon, most of Eastern and Central Europe had communist governments installed. Austria also had a Communist Government installed, and East Germany compromised of the same territory as OTL but including Bayern (Bavaria). Berlin was divided between Britain, France, Mexico and the Soviets.

Back in Asia, Korea remained occupied until 1953, when it was released. However, the occupation of Korean Alaska and Hwacheon would continue until 1973, in which it was returned to them. Jeju Island and Busan remained occupied by Futo and Yukari until 1978 and 1980 respectively. The Nansei Islands were ceded to Japan. Burma was freed from British rule in 1955, and the Philippines were annexed back into Spain. Indonesia, Sarawak, and Hawaii were given independence in 1950. In China, the Communists were defeated by 1947. However, the Monarchy was later dissolved in 1949, and the Ming Dynasty was succeeded by the Republic of China. Chiang Kai-shek was elected as the first President, while Kaku Seiga was elected as the first Premier of China.

-----

An alternate history book was published in January 1962 called The Man in the High Castle, which details a world had Korea, Germany, and Italy won the Second World War. In this book, the Koreans managed to successfully conquer China, along with eliminating both Seiga and Futo, and also successfully annex Gensokyo, which is renamed Hwansang. With that, the Koreans go on to conquer the Indian Sub-continent, Oceania, South America, Southern Africa, and the Asian side of the Soviet Union. Italy conquers the rest of Africa, and Germany conquers most of Europe, leaving Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Finland, and Portugal independent. The United States was invaded in 1950, and defeated a year later, by both Korea and Germany.

Continuing on in the book, the World is divided mainly between Germany and Korea. A major core element in the book is the planned Korean strike against Germany, known as Operation Cosmic Mind. The Koreans have also gained the "Powers from Hokkai" and thus the ability to take out Europe easily. Meanwhile deep in the Underworld, the few remaining Gensokyo residents reside in the Former Capital, where they are safe.

-----

The Cold War raged on, with Mexico and Western Europe on one side, and the Warsaw Pact on the other. However, despite the Soviets managing to gain Bayern and Austria, their influence Worldwide was quite weak, especially since the Communists failed to gain a foothold in China. Soon enough, the Soviet Union had begun to weaken starting in the early 1970s. In the 1980s, the Warsaw Pact fell apart, Germany reunified in 1985 under a democracy, and the Soviet Union collapsed by 1989.

In the 1990s, ZUN creates the Touhou Project. Highly Responsive to Prayers is released in 1996, with the main character being Marisa Kirisame. Reimu Hakurei appears as a Ghost, and is only seen in the PC-98. In the Windows Era, Rin Satsuki becomes the new playable character. Ten Desires is also a bit different, as Soga no Tojiko is a Shikaisen instead of a Ghost and Byakuren Hijiri appears as the Extra Stage Boss instead of Mamizou.

Korean shamanism and Korean mythology also make an appearance, and is the main focus in the Touhou game Morning Calm, which was released between Ten Desires and Hopeless Masquerade. A few Korean-based characters also exist, one of them being Choi Hyo-yeon (최효연), who is a Dokkaebi.

By the 2010s, Korea's relations with other East Asian nations are calmed and nowadays friendly. Relations with the British Commonwealth are also friendly, and relations with Mexico still stands strong.

(World by 2013.)

Not much happens from here on out. The nations go on to expand across the Universe and such. Futo became the Prime Minister of Japan since 2000 and remained in office forever.

--------------

In another universe, it's the First Century. In the Kingdom of Funan, a time machine had appeared out of nowhere around the capital of Vyadhapura. The person to walk out of the time machine was Byakuren Hijiri. She begun walking around the nation, and soon settled there, and later teaches others about magic. This is where the point of divergence takes place.

Elsewhere, the Roman Empire doesn't collapse, and goes on to expand across Europe and Asia.

In the Fourth Century, thanks to Byakuren's teachings, a majority of the population in the Kingdom of Funan can use magic. By 450, the Kingdom was dissolved, and was succeeded by the Khmer Empire. Buddhism also quickly becomes the dominant and later, official, religion of the nation. With the support of Byakuren, they go on to expand in South East Asia.

Meanwhile, the Roman Empire continues to expand, and manages to conquer almost all of Europe except Scandinavia, as the Norsemen manage to prevent them from taking the area. Soon the Vikings go on to raid the British Isles, and achieved major success. By 476, the Romans lost the Isles to them, and decide to end fighting against the Norse. With that, the Romans continue expanding in Africa and Asia, and eventually run into China and India.

The Romans quickly launch an invasion of the weakened Southern Qi Dynasty in 500. This brought attention to the Northern Wei Dynasty, and soon many military forces went up against the Chinese-Roman Border for defensive purposes. The Romans also continue pushing into India, though soon the small Southern Indian Kingdoms went to unite and begun to resist their invasion. This would cause a stalemate for many years to come.

Shortly after bidding her family farewell and faking her death, Seiga went on to move out of Roman China and fled to the Northern Wei Dynasty. Once there, she would pledge her support for the nation and defend it at all costs. In the Korean Peninsula, Goguryeo went on to conquer Silla, Kaya, and Baekje, unifying Korea.

The Romans took note of the Northern Wei's defence system, and begun to develop another plan. Soon in Year 870, they go on to invade Taiwan, and make their way up the Ryūkyū Islands. From there they go on to invade Japan. This invasion was quite unexpected, and the Japanese begin to defend themselves from the Romans. Despite the best attempts, the Romans made a breakthrough and continued on into Japan. Soon some of them make their way into Gensokyo, without knowing it. They then ran into Yōkai, and tried to reflect their attacks with the Iron Shields. At first, the shields had managed to reflect some of the danmaku, but within a few minutes, the shields finally shattered, and the Romans got hit. They then decided to retreat from the mysterious land and warned the others of this. Some Yōkai went on to chase them, and later pushed the Romans out of Japan.

With this plan being largely unsuccessful, the Romans decide to focus on other areas. They try their luck and go on to invade the Khmer Empire, but upon entering, they felt something quite unusual. Surely enough, the Khmers, go on to fight against the invasion with magic and danmaku. The Romans then went on to retreat, but later, the Northern Wei Dynasty took an advantage and invaded Roman China with aid from Seiga. By Year 900, the Romans were pushed out of East Asia by both the Khmers and Chinese. At the same time, Unified India pushed them out of the Indian Subcontinent as well.

With the Roman campaigns in Asia becoming mostly unsuccessful, they try to retrain their remaining holdings. They also make peace with China, Khmer Empire, and India. Back in China, Seiga was quite suspicious of the Khmer's powers. She went on to visit the Khmer Empire, and eventually ran into Byakuren. After a small meeting, she found out that Byakuren had taught the citizens of the empire magic. She was quite surprised by this, and went back to her homeland. Seiga went on to do something similar, and spread Taoism along with magic across China.

In Year 915, the Harshavarman I of the Khmer Empire visit India, and suggests a merge between the two Empires. The Maharani (Queen) Kōkilānadigal of India agrees, and soon a Royal Marriage takes place. By 923, the Indian and Khmer Empires unite into one huge nation, the Indian Empire. In China, the Northern Wei Dynasty was succeeded by the Song Dynasty.

Still a bit shaken by the Asian campaigns, the Romans decided to focus on rebuilding, and peace ensured for now.

Note to self: If getting showered by danmaku, get a stainless steel plate, hold in the direction of danmaku, and GTFO!

Another great post. And HOW did the Romans actually get  to Taiwan without boats?

A map update would be nice, as my incompetent mind can't imagine the true form of the Roman Empire.

The Romans used the Chinese Ships, and also built their own, to get to Taiwan.

-------------------------

In Year 1000, Leif Ericson had managed to discover Vinland. Soon, a few ports were established and the area was also colonised. The natives didn't take kindly to the settlers and launched an attack. However, later on, the diseases from the Old World had affected the natives greatly, and soon were also defeated by the Norse.

Back in Asia, China, Korea, Japan, and India had all expanded greatly. Meanwhile, Kaku Seiga continued teaching the Chinese and Koreans about Taoism and magic, while Byakuren went on to taught the new citizens in India about magic. In Japan, the Japanese begun fearing about the rising powers, and begun to isolate themselves a bit. Mamizou, taking note of this, goes on to help calm the citizens.

In the Roman Empire, many Romans and Greeks made many new discoveries in science. With this, the nation went on to create new technologies, though this didn't include guns. Some of these discoveries also spread to the Norsemen via spies, and inspired them to research their own. Later, somewhere in Eastern Europe, a new nation had arose, the Novgorod Republic.

(World by 1100.)

Everything was fine and well up until 1200, when the Romans begun expanding again and invaded the Persian Rump State. Within two years, the nation was quickly annexed into the Empire. With the Romans bordering China and India once again, the military from both nations lined up against the borderline and a huge defence line was formed. Knowing what happened last time, the Romans decide to let the two empires be, for now.

Nevertheless, the Roman Empire had sent spies in China and India. One of the spies managed to bring back the secrets of Gunpowder, which would help the Empire greatly. There were also reports that the Chinese now use a strange power, similar to the Khmers. This brought concerns over the Roman Government, and a few begin to reconsider the choice to invade the nations. Despite this, with the secrets of Gunpowder, the Romans go on to make better weapons, hoping to stand a chance against the magical empires of the East.

In 1225, the Novgorod Republic and the Norse come into conflict over controlling the Finnic tribes. A small war ensured and resulted in Novgorod's defeat, leaving the Norse to have full control of Finland.

In Asia, China and India continue expanding, and soon both begin expanding into Vinland and Australia respectively. Technology and science continues advancing as well, and are also slightly ahead of the Romans. However weapon technology suffered somewhat as the people can use magic and danmaku to fight. Japan had remained the only Asian nation where the people didn't use magic (excluding Gensokyo), up until 1250. Relations between the four Empires are very friendly, though China and India are occasionally rivals. The Four Empires also maintain decent relations with Arabia. Seiga and Byakuren are friendly with each other to an extent.

In Europe, relations between Rome and the Norse are uneasy, and the occasional skirmish happens, mainly on sea. Norse relations with Novgorod are also not good, especially with the war over Finland a while back. Rome's relations with the Novgorod Republic are decent, and both have recently signed an alliance against the Norse.

An uneasy peace continued, however major conflicts and disasters would brew quite quickly.

A few decades later in Year 1350, the Romans, now with better weaponry, go on to invade the Eastern Empires and the Norse. The Novgorod likewise joins in on the war on the Roman side, helping in taking out the Norse. The Norse were semi surprised by this invasion, but begin to hold them back. The Eastern Empires however, have a challenging time, but manage to turn the tide against them.

The Romans try to march onward, to no avail. Soon, a few Romans try to sneak into China and India from another way, with the intention of destroying the Royal Families of both nations. However, they were spotted quite quickly and were defeated by the militaries in the areas. This did cause major concerns, and China and India decided to work together to take Rome off the map for good.

Seiga and Byakuren went on to aid in the war, and both led the Chinese and Indian armies into Roman and Russian lands. The Norse were beginning to lose ground, though they remain victorious at sea. The Romans attempt to launch an invasion of the British Isles, but most of the ships were destroyed by the Norse, and those that did land were easily defeated. A few reinforcements from Vinland had arrived, and fought to push the Romans and Novgorod out of Scandinavia.

This was would drag on for quite a while. However the Norse, Indians, and Chinese were successful in the long run. Seiga led the Chinese army through Russia quite well, aside from the harsh winters. By 1365 Seiga reached the capital itself, and using a spell card, the city was quickly levelled within minutes. Soon the Chinese met up with the Norse, and both went on to divide Novgorod between themselves.

In Asia, Byakuren led the Indian army through the Mesopotamia region, and from there, into Anatolia. By 1366, all of Roman Asia was under control of India. Soon Byakuren reached Constantinople, and the sacking of the city took place. Within a week, Constantinople was taken over by the Indians, and was renamed Byakurentium. From there, Byakuren begun invading the Balkans, while another Indian army invades Roman Africa.

Back in Europe, the Norse managed to capture the Lowland areas, portions of France Germany, Poland, and the Baltics. The Chinese stormed through from Eastern Europe all the way to Iberia. The Balkans, Hungary, and Austria were overtaken by India. Finally, by 1390, Seiga and Byakuren, with their armies, invaded the Roman heartland itself- Italy. As Seiga was entering Italy from the north, she created puppet states along the way. When Byakuren invaded Italy from the South, all lands captured were immediately annexed into India.

A few weeks later, Seiga and Byakuren had finally reached Rome. The remaining Romans tried everything they could to keep them from taking Rome, but to no avail. Within a few hours, they were defeated by both China and India, and Rome itself was in ruins. The remaining surviving Senate had surrendered, bringing an end to the Forty Year War.

As a result from the war, the Roman Empire ceased to exist, and its lands were divided between the Norse, China, and India. Meanwhile, the many puppet states Seiga created, she decided to merge all the small states into three large puppets: the Kingdom of Lombardy, the Republic of Venice, and the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. She mentioned that it would be annexed into China eventually, however. Both Royal Families in China and India decided to abdicate, and soon Seiga became Empress of China while Byakuren became Empress of India.

In Vinland, China and the Norse had also ran into each other around Canada. Japan also established their own colony around Baja California, and went on to colonise Central Vinland. A few weeks later, South Vinland (OTL South America) was also discovered, and was colonised. By 1620, both continents had been fully colonised by China, Japan, the Norse, and India. The rest of Africa was split between India and China.

Technology and science grew at an enormous rate, and many inventions appeared much earlier than OTL. An example was the Telephone, which was created in China in 1630. The Incandescent light bulb was invented in India around 1525.

By the 1700s, a Three Way Cold War emerged between China, India, and the Norse. Relations between the three nations grew stale. Seiga and Byakuren nowadays are bitter enemies with each other, and both constantly compete. Arabia went and declared neutrality. Korea would remain aligned with China. In Japan, the government was divided between deciding to align with China, or declare neutrality.

Mamizou had felt the tensions, and knew that nothing good would come from this.

The tensions between the three empires continue, and skirmishes are very frequent along the borderlines. Seiga decides to merge the three Italian puppet states into one, forming the Republic of Northern Italy and establishing Genoa as the capital.

In Year 1820, an incident occurs around the Spratly Islands led to a Chinese ship being sunk by an Indian torpedo, which led to the First Sino-Indian War. Within seconds, the Chinese marched into Indochina, and danmaku battles occurred between both sides. Large stalemates ensured, though the Chinese managed to take an advantage in South East Asia while the Indians took an advantage in Central Asia and the Himalayas. The Italian Puppet meanwhile managed to take the islands of Sardinia, but could not advance into the Italian Peninsula nor Sicily. In South Vinland, the Chinese grabbed Chile from India successfully, while the Indians took some of Chinese Africa. This first war would end in 1823, and both China and India annexed the lands they gained.

This peace was a very short one, as a few months later after the war ended, a new incident occurred around Madagascar, which quickly sparked the Second Sino-Indian War. This time however, the Norse decided to participate and secretly aid the Chinese side. Despite this, it didn't made much of a difference. The Chinese pushed back into Central Asia, and also begun taking Laos. In Europe, the Indians manage to take Portugal, while the Italians took Sicily. In South Vinland, the Indians regained Chile, and took some of Chinese Argentina. The Chinese manage to push back the Indians in Africa this time, though not by much.

The Sino-Indian Wars would then continue on and off every now and then, with both sides losing and gaining land. The Norse occasionally supported either China or India as well. However, this also led to wars between the Norse and Indians or Chinese, depending on what side the Norse took in the last Sino-Indian War. The Italians never manage to take the rest of the Italian Peninsula, while Sicily and Sardinia switched between Italian and Indian rule. Seiga and Byakuren themselves would not participate in the wars, but did the planning of a few military offences, while the rest were taken care of the Military Generals.

In 1885, Hakurei Reimu doesn't bother with creating a border around Gensokyo. She goes on to become elected in the Minister of Defence in Japan.

These wars between the three empires soon came to a slow halt. In 1910, the Norse had conducted their first detonation of a nuclear device in an isolated area of Nunavut. Shortly after the event, Seiga and Byakuren would establish their own nuclear projects in their nations. Soon, by 1928, the Chinese detonated their first nuclear device around the Semipalatinsk Test Site. The Indians detonated their first nuclear device around 1930, at the Pokhran Test Range. Shortly after this, China, India, and the Norse begun to stockpile in heavy numbers. Launch sites were also set up across the nations as well.

In 1940, Mamizou decided to go on a vacation, and went to visit Cambodia. During her stay in Vyadhapura, she ran into a Time Machine. Curiosity got to her, and soon she decided to get in, and went on to travel into the future.

-------

The Time Machine had arrived in Year 2300. As Mamizou had stepped out, she noticed that there was nothing around her. Taking note of this, she went on to explore. As she flew around South East and South Asia, Mamizou noticed that a majority of cities and towns had disappeared. Any few areas that survived formed small to decent sized nations. Also notable was a large Maratha Empire covering a third of the Indian subcontinent, which was ruled by a certain Tiger Yōkai.

Along the way she stopped in Arabia, which grew to be a major power in West Asia, and went unscathed. Around here, Mamizou found out that a nuclear war took place between the large three empires over 315 years ago. Shocked by this, she continued exploring elsewhere. She made stops in Europe and Africa, and noticed a few small survivor nations over there, most notable being a Unified Italy.

When Mamizou toured Vinland, she also found that plenty of cities and towns were left standing, mainly in the Japanese held areas.  In a few cities she seen, some had been populated by Yōkai. From here, she made her way into Oceania, and then into East Asia.

Shortly after landing in Taiwan, Mamizou noticed a decent population in the area. Apparently, Taiwan had successfully been spared, and went on to declare independence as a Republic. She toured Taipei for a while, before moving on.

The Raccoon arrived in the Mainland at Fujian province. After another investigation, she finds out that parts of China had somewhat recovered, under a Communist Government, and this recovered nation ruled roughly around OTL East, South Central, and North (minus Inner Mongolia) Regions of China. However actual rule over throughout was tenuous and uneasy. Mamizou went on to visit Hefei, which was the capital of the country. Once there, she seen a Chinese Gate Guard, along with a Jiang Shi, which happened to be the main leaders of Communist China.

Continuing onward, Mamizou made her way into Korea. She was surprised to see that the nation stood strong, despite taking a huge hit from the nuclear war. Some of the cities were rebuilt, while some remained abandoned. From there, the Raccoon entered Japan. While the island nation was spared thanks to its neutrality, it suffered quite a bit due to the radiation coming from both China and Korea. After looking around, Mamizou went and headed back to the Time Machine.

---------

Back to 1940, and the Time Machine ended up in Sado this time. After experiencing a future that had went through a nuclear war, the Raccoon decided to plan to end this Three Way Cold War once and for all.

Peacefully of course.

Anyway, nice job. How do you write so fast?

Do you have a month's worth of posts stored as text documents hidden somewhere on your hard drive?

Anyway, keep up the good work!

Also, story suggestion:

Spoiler:
Seiga returns to China, and expands to Europe. A thriving Roman Empire gets into contact, and the Romans and Chinese decide to peacefully annex both empires into the Sino-Roman Empire! While the Empire has a few decades of expansion to conquer the entire Afro-Eurasian continent, the Americas have the Incan and Aztec Empires expanding and making an alliance on both North and South America, and end up causing the World War of the Empires at around 1000 CE, when the Incan-Aztec Alliance decide to take Taiwan and other Pacific islands!

How's that?

I spend some of the day writing a part of the storyline, and by the end of the day I usually post it. Any ideas or thoughts I come up with, I add to and type as I go along. There is a few occasions that I don't post at the end of the day, and I just save everything I typed so far on a notepad, and the next day, I work from there then post.

I don't write up the next parts offline then post it. After I posted a part of the story, I don't continue on until the next day.

That is an excellent suggestion, and I'll keep that in mind for the next timeline. Thanks for the idea, I appreciate it! :D

-----------

Years went by as usual, and nuclear stockpiles continued to grow. The Norse however were a step ahead of both the Chinese and Indians in some aspects, and manage to establish a base on Mars. However spies from the other two empires had managed to copy some of their plans and showed them to the governments.

In 1967, a conflict occurred between India and the Lunarians, when attempting to set a base on the Moon. A small danmaku fight ensured, which resulted in a stalemate for a few months. After a while, a treaty was signed, which let the Indians to keep their base, but any further establishments of any kind of base by any Earth nation will not be allowed and result in another war. This meeting was recorded live to the Governments of Earth, so they could take note of this warning. A few days later, Byakuren sent Shou to the Indian Moon Base just in case another conflict rises.

In 1970, the Chinese were able to get a step ahead of both and begun establishing bases on some of Jupiter and Saturn's moons. She also gifted the Italian puppet the Saturn moon Mimas, and encouraged them to build a base there, in which they did. Seiga also hired Hong Meiling to keep the Chinese bases on Saturn and Jupiter's moons in check.

On September 26, 1983, in a small military town located in Chinese Eastern Europe, reports of a few intercontinental ballistic missiles from the Norse and India to China was detected by the early warning computer. Taking note of this, the officer goes to report the attack. Soon Chinese missiles launch towards India and the Norse, which causes the other two nations to do the same. A World War commences, with Arabia and Japan declaring neutrality, and fighting begins. Mamizou goes back into the time machine and flees.

With a few hours, most of the World is destroyed by many of the nuclear devices, and Billions die worldwide of this fateful event, many more due to radiation. A few hours later during a large danmaku battle, Seiga and Byakuren also die to radiation, and both fall from the sky, crashing into the Himalayas. Korea suffered a partial collapse, and a small civil war broke out. Japan remained united, though a bit unstable, as radiation spread there. Even Gensokyo suffered a bit from the radiation.

Reconstruction went on over the years since then. By 2100 Korea was reunified, and the government clung onto the nation tightly so it doesn't fall apart. Also in this year, the time machine appeared in Sado, and the Raccoon went on to find Nitori. Soon, she met with her and asked if the cause of the nuclear event could be investigated. Nitori agreed, and built a few mechanical robots, which were sent to China to find out exactly how it broke out. A few years later, with enough investigation the mechanical robots concluded that a false error report was the problem, and had came from a military base within Chinese Europe, known as Serpukhov-15. Mamizou took note of this and thanked Nitori. With this, the Raccoon travelled back in time once again.

-------

Travelling to September 10, 1983, Mamizou disguised herself as a Chinese Officer, and went to China. Soon she met with a Chinese General that assigned her to go to Serpukhov-15, and keep track of the nuclear early-warning system there. Sixteen days later, the same false warning appeared, and Mamizou reported it as such.

With the nuclear war averted, Mamizou went to work out her plans, and begun to improve relations between the three nations. After a few years, she managed to convince the Norse signed a deal of peace and cooperation between India and China. Relations between China and India remain cold, mainly because Seiga and Byakuren dislike each other. This didn't stop the Raccoon from trying, however.

From here, Mamizou went on to have one on one meetings with both Byakuren and Seiga themselves. When asked about the other, both had refused to do anything to improve relations and emphasised that they were rivals with one another. The Raccoon tried to talk of ways to fix this, but they neglected. Soon both leaders stopped meeting with her.

Seeing as talking with the leaders themselves not working out too well, Mamizou went to discuss to the parliaments of both nations, though she had to disguise herself to look like one of them. After a while, the parliaments of China and India considered having peace with each another, and this soon became a popular topic of debate. Protests would occur a few years later desiring cooperation between the two nations and to end tensions once and for all.

In 1994, huge protests took place in many populated cities from Lisbon to Beijing, and Belgrade to Delhi. The parliaments themselves also constantly bugged the leaders to consider their choices. Within a few weeks, both Seiga and Byakuren finally gave in, and went to meet each other in Vyadhapura. After a moment of silence, they went to set aside their rivalry and forgiveness was exchanged. The two went to sign a treaty, finally ending the Sino-Indian Cold War, and bringing cooperation between the nations. Nuclear stockpiles were also beginning to be disassembled worldwide.

Meanwhile, in the Chinese bases on some of the Saturn and Jupiter's moons, Hong Meiling begun planning to take the bases under her control.

Sometime in the 2000s, Meiling went to execute her plan. She begun influencing the Chinese bases across the Moons of Jupiter and Saturn and spread ideas of independence. Slowly but surely, it became popular, and within a few decades, a revolt occurs. With that, Meiling quickly takes control and goes on to cede from China, and forms the People's Republic of Saturn-Jupiter.

A few days later, Seiga received the message about the secession. She does not recognise it, and goes on to send a few fleets to bring them under her control again. Thus begins the Chinese Civil War.

As the fleets were on the way, Meiling had already launched a few of her own ahead of time. Both fleets meet up around Mars, and a battle ensures. It lasted quite a while, but the Communists had luckily managed to win this round. With that, they continue on further, and soon encounter another fleet near the Moon. However, in this next battle, the Communists ended up losing, and the Republicans flew on.

Seeing as her first wave of attack having been flawed, she goes on to lead the second fleet in the next battle. Both the Republicans and Communists soon meet up between Mars and Jupiter, and begun fighting. This time, the Communists decided to use spell cards every chance they get, making the battle a bit more difficult. After a while, Meiling managed to gain the upper hand, and soon led her forces to Earth.

After defeating a few more fleets, the Communists manage to make landing in Chinese Philippines. The fight however was more difficult, though with Meiling's help it wasn't as bad. Within a few weeks the Southern Philippines fell to Communist forces, and continued on to capture the rest. From there they launch an invasion into Hainan and Taiwan, and large danamku battles occurred at sea. The Republicans manage to use their spell cards flawing the Communist ships.

After a while, Seiga herself went on to help the Republicans, and begun tracking down Meiling. Mamizou offered to lend a helping hand to the Hermit, which she accepted. The two begun fighting alongside the Republicans, and pushing the Communists out. A week later, the Philippines were captured and brought back under Seiga's rule. Meiling went on to flee back into space, hoping to stop further advancement.

As the Communist forces were fleeing, both Seiga and Mamizou followed in pursuit in a Republican fleet. Back in space, Seiga took out much of the enemy's fleets, and within a few days, only one fleet remained, which contained Meiling. She led them out of the Solar System, and the pursuit took to other parts of the Milky Way Galaxy. Seiga got sick of trying to capture the fleet, and went on to take it down. It was difficult, as Meiling had driven the ship quite well, dodging the attacks as much as she could. Seiga went on to open a door, and got into a small UFO. Another door of the Republican fleet opened, and the Hermit in the UFO continued to chase the Communist fleet.

The chase continued, and soon led out of the Milky Way Galaxy, into other parts of the Universe. It didn't last long, as Seiga launched a few targeting Missiles from the UFO at the Communist ship. Meiling tried to dodge the attack but it was no use, and within seconds the Missiles hit the fleet, and a huge explosion occurred, destroying it. With this, the last of the rebellion was finally defeated. Seiga flew the UFO back into the Republican fleet, and along with Mamizou, travelled back to Earth.

Later In 2300, Byakuren and Seiga decided to merge both of their nations together, and established Chindia. Northern Italy gained the rest of the Italian Peninsula, thus uniting the nation. A few years later, Korea merged into Chindia, leaving Earth with only Four nations left (or Five if Italy is accounted for). The Buddhist Magician and the Hermit became the best of friends forever.

----------------------

In another universe, it's Year 618, and a few points of divergence takes place. Kaku Seiga arrives back to China, and aids the Tang Dynasty in expanding. Within a few years, the Tang grows in power decently, and manages to vassalises a few Indian states as well, expanding Chinese influence.

In Europe, the Roman Empire flourishes, and manages to expand decently.

Meanwhile, in the New World, a few civilisations grow in power, while in Australia, a small empire is formed in the South East Area.

Yay, suggestion taken!

And for some reason, a picture of Seiga in one of Nue's large UFOs grinning crazily while shooting UFO danmaku while chasing Meiling down keeps appearing in my head.

The Tang Dynasty continues expanding throughout Asia. By the 740s, they managed to take South East Asia, most of Siberia, most of India except the Central and South, Tibet, and Central Asia. Goguryeo went to merge into China in their own free will, and proceed to bring the other Korean states under Goguryeo's rule. Meanwhile in Europe, the Romans begun expanding more into West Asia and Africa, and fought the Vikings around the British Isles. With enough luck, the Romans manage to defeat the Vikings around there, and begun making their way across the Lowlands, and soon into Denmark.

In 770, Seiga led China into Eastern Europe, and soon runs into the Roman Empire. Within a few days, diplomatic relations were established between the two, and an alliance was also signed. They went and aided each other in their conquests. A few years later, both the Chinese and Romans managed to defeat the Vikings and annexed Scandinavia. The remaining Vikings fled to Iceland and Greenland and built up huge defences there, though they were soon conquered by 800. In the 810s, South India was conquered by a Chinese invasion from the North, and the Roman invasion from the South. The Maldives and Sri Lanka were also conquered in the campaign.

By 840, both Empires went to unite together, and formed the Sino-Roman Empire. From there, they continued expanding across Afro-Eurasia together. Along the way, they meet some heavy resistance from not only tribes, but small empires as well. One of them was Srivijaya, which had pushed the Chinese out of Indonesia and invaded some of their South East Asian holdings.

In the meantime, the Koori Empire in Australia grows as they unite more tribes. They also begin building small boats, and soon one of them travels to New Zealand. Findings of this land was immediately reported, and became colonised a bit. The island of Tasmania was also founded and taken over as well.

In the Americas, the Mayans had a few minor issues with the Aztecs over parts of Central America. It was taken care of by a few treaties and deals, though after a while both of them united into one large nation. After the unification in 855, the Aztec Empire expanded into the rest of Central America, the Caribbean, and also headed north, taking the rest of Mexico and Southern United States. In South America, the Wari Empire is soon succeeded by the Incas after having taken much of OTL Peru, Ecuador, Northern Chile, and portions of Bolivia.

Back in the Old World, the Sino-Romans manage to conquer more of Africa, and defeating some small, yet powerful, empires that formed. Seiga focuses on invading Srivijaya, pushing them back into Indonesia, and going on to defeat them. The Philippines, Taiwan, and the Ryūkyūs are also conquered quite quickly within months. Japan went on to built their military, especially the navy, quite heavily and were more than ready to defend themselves. The Japanese also gained the rest of Honshū, Hokkaidō, and Karafuto (Sakhalin) Island along the way.

By the 950s, all of Afro-Eurasia, except Japan, was under rule by the Sino-Romans. Seiga went on a visit to the island nation, and shortly upon entering, she ran into Mamizou. The Hermit decided to ask her if Japan could possibly join the empire as an autonomous region. The Raccoon went and declined, saying that the nation is strong by itself and can defend quite well. Disappointed, Seiga flew back to China, but not before stating that they would regret the choice.

In the New World, the Koori Empire by now has covered all of Australia and New Zealand. In the Americas, the Incans dominated all of the Southern continent, while in the Northern continent, the Aztecs grew even more, and have reached the Canadian border by 930, and took the remaining part of North America by 989. An alliance between the Aztecs and Incans was also signed in 970.

Japan went on to colonise and take plenty of small Pacific islands, including Hawaii. The Incans also started their Pacific expansion, starting with the Gal?pagos Islands. Eventually, by the 980s, both nations would run into each other around the Marquesas Islands. As Japan was beginning to take over the area, the Incans launched an attack against the Japanese. It was successful, and Japan was pushed out of the islands. Tensions quickly followed, and a few skirmishes occurred elsewhere in parts of Polynesia. This would quickly erupt into a lager war, soon enough.

The skirmishes in Polynesia continued, and soon spread to Micronesia. In Year 1000, as the Incans continued to expand across the Pacific Islands, they launched an attack on Kiribati. A few days after the attack, Japan had declared full out war against them. The Aztecs quickly joined on the Inca's side, and begun aiding in the conquests. Another Incan fleet had landed in Sino-Roman Papua Island (New Guinea), and launched an invasion from there as well.

This attack took Sino-Rome by surprise, as they were not prepared. They are dragged into the war, and begin fighting against them. However the Incans and Aztecs manage to fight well, and continue pushing through the Malay Archipelago. Within months they made their way to Taiwan and Singapore, and manage to take the latter in weeks. With the Incans and Aztecs right on the doorstep, Seiga goes to participate in the war and begins fighting them. However, both empires also begun invading Sino-Rome from the Atlantic side, and had invaded Greenland and Africa. To go even further, the Aztecs invaded Sino-Roman Siberia via Alaska.

The war was now being fought in a few different fronts. In the Pacific Side, the Aztec invasion of Siberia went well, and they continued to push further with a bit of resistance. At the South East Asian front, Seiga managed to fight the Incans out of Taiwan, and flew on to the Philippines, where she engages in even more fights. However, the Incans landed in Peninsular Malaysia and made their way to Krung Thep (Bangkok), where a huge stalemate occurs. In Japan, Mamizou arrived in Karafuto and was prepared to deal with the Aztecs once they reached the area.

On the Atlantic Front, Greenland was more or less easy to take. Iceland was more tough to take due to the Vikings, but the Aztecs successfully took the island. Soon enough, the Aztecs launched an invasion of the British Isles, as well as Portugal. The Sino-Roman military was decently prepared to defend the areas in question. In Africa, both the Aztecs and Incans gained a decent ground in parts of the Southern Area, but are soon approached by a blockade. Nonetheless, both empires manage to continue on.

After a few months of fighting, the Incans were pushed out of the Philippines by Seiga. Continuing from there, the Hermit flew on to Indonesia, seeking to cut off their invasion. She landed at the Maluku Islands, and proceeded to take out a bunch of enemy ships with a spell card. After a while, she managed to take the islands, but unfortunately it didn't hinder their route by much. The Hermit continued fighting against the enemy in Indonesia, but as she was doing so, the Incans launched a new invasion of the Philippines. The Chinese navy went on to block and hider their attempted reinvasion, and started a brief stalemate at sea.

Meanwhile in North Asia, the Aztecs continued on and took more of the region. They also launched an invasion of Japan, starting with Karafuto. As expected, Mamizou went and fought them off, preventing them from gaining a foothold. As she was doing that, another fleet went around and begun invading Honshū, at the Kantō region. However, this was a bad mistake, as the well prepared Japanese military destroyed the Aztecs there quite easily, and the navy took out most of their ships as well. A few more Aztec fleets arrived in Shikoku and Kyūshū, but met the same fate.

In Europe, the Aztecs had barely taken Ireland and Scotland, but continued facing difficulties in advancing due to the heavy blockade by the Romans. Portugal also had been taken by the Aztecs, but at a heavy price. These occupations would not last long however, as the Romans launched huge offences. Within months, the Aztecs was pushed out of Portugal and the British Isles. They also attempted to invade Norway, but their ships had been destroyed by the Roman and Viking fleets.

In Africa, the both Empires continued to advance quite fine, at least up until Angola and Zambia. From there, more and more resistance was met, slowing down their invasion. While the two Empires won plenty of battles early on, their success would begin to run out. They go on across the region, barley enough, but are finally stopped at the Congo border. At that point, the tides were turned, and the Romans begun to fight them out of the area. The Aztecs and Incans tried their best, but lost more and more battles as time went on.

The Pacific continued to be mostly deadlocked, but was going to break. Mamizou and the Japanese manage to foil the Aztec invasion quite well. In South East Asia, many reinforcements from India had arrived, and begun fighting the Incans out of Krung Thep, and went on to push them off out of the region. Shortly after, huge battles occurred in Indonesia, with the Incans losing most of them. Seiga continued fighting as well, and eventually enough, the Incans were pushed out of Asia. Some Chinese fleets went on to aid the Japanese in fighting the Incans in the Pacific, and helping Japan regain the islands.

With South East Asia and the Malay Archipelago secured, Kaku Seiga went to fly to Siberia, to deal with the Aztecs. However along the way she seen that a few forces had reached the Manchurian Region. The Hermit used another spell card and had destroyed the Aztec forces there. She then continued on fighting the Aztecs in Siberia, and begun to kick them out of Asia.

The war continued on for years. In the long run, the Sino-Romans and Japanese had achieved great victory in dealing with the Incans and Aztecs. The Aztecs were soon pushed out of Iceland and Greenland, while the Incans were pushed out of the Pacific by the Japanese. Siberia was reconquered by Seiga and the remaining Aztecs fled back to North America. In Year 1045, the Japanese with Chinese aid managed to defeat the Incans at the Marquesas Islands, and the area being brought under Japanese control.

It wouldn't end there, and the Romans went on to invade Qu?bec, Seiga invaded Alaska, and Japan invaded the Gal?pagos Islands. After a few weeks however, both Empires begun to sue for peace. Both Sino-Rome and Japan decided to accept, and the war came to a close in Year 1048, and a treaty was created. In the treaty, the Inca Empire was able to keep the Gal?pagos Islands, but had to give up claims on any other Pacific Island, and the Aztecs had to cede Alaska to Sino-Rome, along with both having to pay reparations for the war. The treaty was signed, and peace ensured for now.

Thanks for pointing that out, I've corrected the mistake.

--------

In the Year 1050 begun the Pax Sinica-Romana Era. The nation was in relative peace, and the economy was flourishing. Science and Technology was also seeing huge advancements. Meanwhile in Japan, some of the Pacific Islands, like Palau, was made into a navy outpost and a military base. Mamizou also became Shogun of Japan, and was promoted as such by the Emperor.

(World as of 1050.)

In the Aztec and Inca Empires, not all was well. Some wanted revenge, while others doubted risking another war. In the meantime, contact with the Koori Empire was established by the two empires, and a trade agreement was signed as well.

As time went on, the two Empires begun plotting for their next attack. Invasion routes were planned and mapped out, along with trying some new routes. Militarisation of the Aztec-Chinese border at Alaska also took place. They also sent a few spies to Sino-Rome, to see what they are developing and building. Reports would be brought back, and the two Empires would try to keep on par with them.

By the 1300s, Sino-Rome underwent an industrial revolution, and soon spread to Japan. The Incans and Aztecs later had their own industrial revolutions by the 1400s, and the Koori Empire in 1410. From there, the world advanced even further, and by the 1530s, the first tanks were built, in Sino-Rome, while the first aeroplane was built in Japan around 1525.

The Peace Era came to an abrupt end in 1600, when the Aztec military stormed into Alaska setting off the Second World War. The Sino-Romans quickly responded, and Alaska soon became a tense battlefield. The Aztecs also invaded Greenland and Iceland, and the Incans invaded Africa. A few Incan fleets also made their way to Sri Lanka, hoping to distract them when the Incans invade the Pacific. The two Empires also sent an offer to the Koori Empire to join the war, but they declined.

The Hermit quickly went to participate in this war, and flew straight to Alaska to aid the Chinese forces. Surely enough, she easily destroyed the invading forces with the use of a spell card. From there, she took no time and led the Chinese forces into Canada. Ignoring the taunting winters, the Chinese did well fighting against the Aztecs in the Far North. As they advanced further down the Pacific Northwest, there was more resistance. Despite Seiga helping out the Chinese in this front, they had somewhat of a challenging time in dealing with the many Aztec military that came from different directions.

The Incans also made their way through the Pacific disguising them as trade ships, but did not attack any Japanese-held islands. Though, as the ships did pass by some of the islands, the Japanese had raised their suspicions. Seeing as these were trade ships, Japan didn't deal with them. However, this did change when the supposed trade ships started landing on Papua Island, and the Incans from there invaded the area. Shortly after this, Shogun Mamizou Futatsuiwa ordered the Japanese to block any more Incan ships from passing by the Pacific Islands.

While this tactic seemed to be successful, it unfortunately didn't stop the Incans from trying a different path. Once the Incans found out about the Japanese blockade, they begun to direct their ships to travel under the Koori Empire. With this, they remained far away from the Japanese as possible. Soon the Incans landed on Java Island, while some other ships landed on Sumatra, and launched invasions from there. Java Island saw heavy resistance, since it was densely populated. Sumatra was as well, though the Incans barely managed to gain ground at all.

On the Indian front, the Incans took Sri Lanka and the Maldives, and begun invading India. It went horribly, and the Incans had little to no chance to even advance past Thiruvananthapuram. Nevertheless, the Incans tried invading from other parts of Southern India. One of them tried to invade through Kochi, but was quickly destroyed by the Indian army and navy. While the Incans did lose plenty of battles, they managed to cause a stalemate at the tip of India for weeks before being kicked off the Subcontinent. A few months later, the Incans were also kicked out of Sri Lanka and the Maldives, and the Indian navy would go on to defeat any more ships that arrived.

In the Atlantic, the Aztecs had quite a difficult time. Instead of invading the British Isles and Scandinavia, they decided to focus on marching through Iberia. There, they managed to make it all the way to Catalonia, but became deadlocked. In Africa, they had invaded the Maghreb, which was a bit successful, but could not advance past Morocco, as there was plenty of reinforcements to shut them down. In the Southern part of the Continent, both Empires had trouble trying to invade the area as the Romans were much better prepared for this event. However they did at least gain South Africa and Namibia, before being fought out of the area a few years later.

In the Pacific Northwest, the Chinese continued on very well, mostly thanks to Seiga. Despite being outnumbered, the Hermit and her army had won most of the fight. A few Aztecs even tried to take the Hermit out, but she managed to avoid their attempts every chance they get. However, she did get injured in a few battles. Nevertheless, it was disregarded, and the Hermit fought on.

Back in Indonesia, the Incans were defeated, and any more Incan ships that arrived were taken out at sea. It took a while for the Chinese to figure out that the Incans went under Australia and New Zealand, surpassing the Japanese blockade, to get to Indonesia. Once that had been found out, they attempted to contact the Koori Empire to shut down the area, but they declined and proclaimed neutrality. This disappointed the Chinese, and they went on to tell Japan about this. Shogun Mamizou agreed to step in, and sent Japanese ships to block and take down any Incan ships that attempted to pass around there. She also announced her declaration on war against both Empires.

Following this, the Pacific route had been more or less shut down for the Incans. As they send more fleets to not only try to go through the area, but fighting through other parts of the Pacific, the Incans suffered heavy losses and could not advance. The Pacific front would arrive right next door, as some Japanese fleets begun invading the Gal?pagos Islands, successfully. Within months the islands were taken, and they advanced on into Ecuador, where Japan begins invading the Inca Empire itself.

In Europe, the Aztecs had pure luck to reach up to the French border. They tried to fight to maintain the conquered areas, but it was no use. The Romans in the long run pushed the Aztecs out of Europe, as well as Africa. Iceland and Greenland were liberated once again, and the Romans begun invading the East Coast of the Aztec lands.

With the war now being fought on the home front, some protests broke out in the Inca and Aztec Empires calling to surrender. The Governments however, did not accept, and continued on. As it dragged on however, they suffered more defeats, and slowly lost land each day. The Chinese and Roman forces soon met up in Canada, and from there they invaded further South. In the South, the Japanese captured Ecuador, and begun taking parts of Colombia and Peru.

By 1615, the Sino-Roman Forces had reached Mexico and Central America at last. They also launched a successful invasion of Brazil, and aided the Japanese forces in South America. Within weeks, the Incan government had surrendered, but the Aztecs did not. Seiga, who was starting to grow sick and tired of this war, decided to simply fly to Tenochtitlan herself. After taking out the forces there, she walked to the Government building and used her hair stick to get in. Upon entering, she proceeded to walk towards the Prime Minister's office, and demanded to end this war, or the nation would be fully annihilated. The Prime Minister wasted no time, and quickly surrendered.

With both Empires having given up, a new treaty was created. In this treaty, the Aztecs would lose much of North America to Sino-Rome and Japan, and be limited to the territory of the OTL First Mexican Empire (Mexico, Central America minus Panama, and Southwestern United States). The Incans would cede Brazil and Paraguay to Sino-Rome while Colombia, Venezuela, and The Guianas to Japan. Both Empires had to pay reparations, and their military also became restricted as well. This treaty was signed, officially ending this war.

(World by 1630.)

The nations managed to rebuild from the last war by 1647. In the Aztec and Inca Empires, both governments begin considering to improve relations with Sino-Rome and Japan. It would take a while however, as there is much Anti-Aztec and Anti-Inca settlement in both of those nations. The Koori Empire continued to remain neutral in world affairs, and became something like OTL Switzerland.

Years went by as normal, and the world became more and more advanced. Mononobe no Futo became elected as Governor for Muisca Prefecture (which was one of the Prefectures in Japanese South America) by Shogun Mamizou, so to keep an eye on, and deal with, the Incans and Aztecs if they decided to invade. Hakurei Reimu became Governor of Panama (another Prefecture in Japanese South America) for the same reason, and with that she didn't create the border for Gensokyo. Border patrols were also frequent, and watchtowers were also built. The Japanese islands in the Pacific were also under constant watch by the navy, and each island had at least one military base.

Later in the 1910s however, a revolution struck in the Aztec Empire, and the nation fell into civil war. The Incans sent aid to help the Royalists in the nation, but they begun to suffer defeats to the militarists. This civil war came to an end in 1919, with the militarists achieving victory, and establishing rule. Shortly after coming into power, they heavily built up the military and fortified the borders. The nation also evolved into an police state, and relations with other nations went cold, especially with the Inca Empire.

In the early 1930s, the Aztec Empire decided to invade the Incans, trying to establish a puppet government. Within a few years, the Aztecs managed to conquer up until the end of the Peruvian border, but couldn't advance any further as the Incans was able to fight them well. A ceasefire was signed, and the Aztecs established Antisuyu, which was a puppet state established out of the captured lands. The Incan capital was relocated to Talcahuano during the Aztec invasion as well. In 1945, the Aztecs and their puppet begun invading Japanese South America, setting off the Continental War.

Mononobe no Futo and Hakurei Reimu both immediately responded to the attack. While Futo went to deal with the puppet, Reimu went to deal with the Aztec Empire itself. Within months, the Shikaisen managed to defeat Antisuyu, and went to hand it back to the Incan Empire. The Shrine Maiden, however, had quite a challenging time invading the Aztecs. Futo soon came to her aid, and both, along with the Japanese forces, continued pushing into Aztec territory.

By late 1947, the Japanese forces along with the Shikaisen and Shrine Maiden reached Chiapas. The Aztecs tried to fight against them to the greatest of their ability, but to little effect. When Futo and Reimu had reached Tenochtitlan, they went to investigate the government building, but no one was there. They quickly found out that the military government had fled to El Paso, and begun heading there. However, the government would relocate a few more times, trying to avoid capture. Their last move was towards the Californian coast, in Sonoma County. Once there, they remained in the area until the end.

The Japanese forces continued on, and finally, by Year 1953, they had reached Sonoma County at last. Once there, Futo and Reimu went on to check governmental buildings, and managed to finally meet up with the military government. They still refused to surrender, and tried to fight against Shikaisen and Shrine Maiden. This quickly led to their defeat, and only then did they officially surrender. With the war now ended, the fate of the empire was decided upon. After a bit of a discussion, the Aztec Empire was annexed into Japan, but given some autonomy.

In the 2000s, the Inca Empire had friendly relations with Sino-Rome and Japan, and also would cooperate with them in some projects. Anti-Inca settlement also reached an all time low by 2005, while Anti-Aztec settlement would still be around until 2090. The nations on Earth remained peaceful to each other for many years to come.

In 2300, Shogun Mamizou gave independence to the Aztec Empire, and the old monarchy of the nation was restored. Relations and the alliance with the Inca Empire was also restored. Both Empires would also ally with Japan and Sino-Rome. Later in 2430, the Aztec and Inca both would merge into one nation as well.

In another universe, its around the 800s. The Vikings were raiding Ireland and setting up ports. Somewhere within the mountains of Southern Ireland, a time machine appeared. The doors opened up, and Sekibanki went out, exploring the area. After a while, she decides to aid the Irish in fighting against the Vikings, and also plans to unite the island under one nation. The point of divergence takes place here.

But where did Sekibanki get the time machine in the first place?

She got the time machine from Nitori, who had built it. This is also where Byakuren got the time machine two timelines ago, in Magical Empires.

------------

The first location Sekibanki went to was Limerick. Once there, she had encountered the first Vikings in the area. She quickly rushed and begun fighting them. One of the Vikings attempted to throw some spears at her head. She managed to detach her head and had it flying to dodge the spears. This move had scared the Vikings, and many begun to flee in fear. A few decided to continue the fight, but were quickly defeated.

From there, Sekibanki flew to other parts of Coastal Ireland to fight more Vikings. Having an idea, she decided to keep her head off and hold onto it. As she approached more invaders, she managed to scare them away. Any of those that tried to fight were met with danmaku attacks and ended up defeat. After a few days of spooking and fighting them away, the Vikings would begin to avoid Ireland altogether.

With their invasions having come to an end, the next thing on her list was absolute unification of Ireland. She tried at first at convincing the independent kingdoms to all merge into one, but many had refused this. The Kingdom of Munster, however, took an interest in unifying the island, and asked her for help. She agreed to this, and begun to take out the rivalling dynasties. This came with some difficulty, as the other Kingdoms would not give up their rule easily. The Irish Unification War soon begun when Munster and Sekibanki launched an invasion of Leinster.

While Leinster had managed to defend itself and fought quite well, it ended up falling under Munster rule weeks later. Upon the conquest of the capital, the king there decided to surrender, and allowed the kingdom to annex Leinster. With one rival dynasty down, there were five more to go. The next kingdom Munster and Sekibanki invaded was Dublin. As Dublin was the smallest kingdom around, it was fairly easy to conquer, though the capital was heavily defended. Nevertheless it was annexed into Munster a week and a half later.

After a short break, they invaded Meath next, which took a while longer to fall than Leinster. After that, they took down Ulaidh, followed by Ailech. A few years later, Connacht was the last independent Irish kingdom to be invaded. Invading wasn't easy as there was heavy resistance, that had managed to cause a few stalemates here and there. It took roughly five months to conquer at least two thirds of the kingdom. Another three months, and the capital was left. Finally, a few days later, King Diarmait mac Tommaltaig decided to surrender, and the kingdom was annexed into Munster. The long war came to a close, and the island was united.

Since the unification, there was an occasional rebellion. Some were small, but there was a few big ones as well. Despite this, Ireland remained at peace until around the 1160s. By the end of this decade, Normandy  had begun invading the island, starting with Bannow. As the Normans had begun to advance and fight against the Irish, a few hours later they ran into Sekibanki herself, who had arrived to the scene. They tried fighting her, to no avail, and were soon pushed out of Ireland.

Two years later in 1171, Henry II launched an invasion of the island starting at Waterford. The city became overwhelmed by the invaders, and was quickly taken. Henry II's forces went on, conquering a bit more land than the Normans did. Sekibanki  arrived and defeated the invasion, and also scared them away. She also sent a letter to Westminster, in which she threatened to invade them if they tried again. The King of England decided to accept this. A peace treaty was also signed, as was a non-aggression pact.

Following the last war, the Irish begun to build their nation, and improved their military. Some defences were also established in parts of the island, especially in the southern part, to keep an eye out for would-be invaders. The Irish managed to establish an alliance with Scotland as well.

The Irish helped the Scots when the latter was invaded by England in 1296. After a while, in 1300, Sekibanki went on to aid Scotland as well. Within a few days after her entry, the English were suffering more defeats. By 1304, the Scottish and Irish forces managed to push the English out of Scotland, and went on to invade England in revenge. King Edward I decided to give in and ended the war before the advanced any further. A treaty was signed, re-establishing the de jure Scottish independence, and the cession of a bit of Northern England to Scotland.

Unfortunately, the English launched another invasion of Scotland in 1333. The Irish, and days later Sekibanki, quickly came to the Scots aid, and begun fighting the English. France also joined in on the war in 1336, on the side of Scotland. As the French begun invading England's Continental possessions, they did sent a few forces to aid the Northern Front. By 1338, the Scottish and Irish forces begin advancing beyond the border, capturing parts of the Northern areas. Upon the conquest of Yorkshire and the Humber along with North West Region in 1344, King Edward III of England decided to surrender and end the war with Scotland. Another treaty was signed, this time all areas Scotland captured were to be annexed by them, along with paying reparations. After the war, England continued war with France, which had now evolved into the Hundred Years' War.

While Ireland and Scotland were prosperous, England was not. The Hundred Years' War was very damaging for the English, and when it ended in 1450s, they lost all continental territory along with Cornwall to the French. Also during the war, the Glyndŵr Rising was successful, and Wales managed to declare independence from England. Wales quickly allied with Scotland and Ireland as well. Even more, Sekibanki begins to help out Scotland and Wales.

Elsewhere in the World, the Kalmar Union had grown in power, and soon unified into one nation. They also regained Greenland under their domain, and colonised Svalbard. In Asia, the Ashikaga Shogunate managed to expand into Hokkaido, and portions of Karafuto (Sakhalin) Island along with Chishima (Kuril) Islands, before descending into the Sengoku Era. The Scandinavians also went on to re-discover Vinland in 1490.

With the news of Vinland, the Scandinavians and Spanish goes on to colonise it. The former sets up a colony in Newfoundland while the latter sets up a colony in the Caribbean. Portugal joins in a few years later, and colonises South Vinland. Roughly One Hundred Years later, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and the Dutch also joins in, and begins colonising the East Coast. England also tried to colonise, but came into conflict with the Dutch, and soon an Anglo-Dutch War took place in the 1650s. The English had lost the war, and also had to cede their colony to the Dutch.

In Asia, Toyotomi Hideyoshi managed to pull of a successful invasion of Korea. By 1600, the nation had been conquered and annexed by Japan. Hideyoshi also declared the establishment of the Toyotomi Shogunate, and went on to turn it into a powerful and prosperous nation. In the 1660s, the Japanese had begun colonising Tierra del Fuego and Oregon. Meanwhile, conflicts with China also emerged, and a few skirmishes took place. Mamizou aided the Japanese in some of these conflicts too.

In 1700, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, under the Acts of Union Treaty, united into one nation and formed the Celtic Kingdom. Their colonies also merge together into one. This unification strengthened their influence and power, and became one of the powerful nations in Europe. This did bring a bit of concerns in France, as they fear that Cornwall and Brittany could possibly rebel and break away. To make sure that doesn't happen, the French set up military bases in both areas to keep an eye on the people there.

In fear of the strong Celtic state in the British Isles, England begun looking for ways to built its own power. Soon, in the 1750s, the English East India Company begun to establish rule in Bengal shortly after the close victory in the Battle of Plassey by the English. England also begun colonising a part of South Africa, but soon came into conflict, and later into a war, with the Dutch. As a result England lost their colony to them, and led to a decline of power as well. Company rule in Bengal managed to survive up until around the 1800s.

Later in the 1800s, the Napoleonic Wars took place. In the war, not only did England ended up losing their holdings in India to France, but the nation itself became conquered by the French. Shortly after this however, the French launched an invasion of the Celtic Kingdom. Within a few minutes, Sekibanki arrived on scene of the battle and begun to fight them out of the area. By 1808, England was restored but became under occupation, the Celtic Kingdom captured Cornwall and pushed the French out of the Isles.  The Celtic Kingdom and Sekibanki went on to invade Brittany, aiming to take the area, and some ships were sent to take the captured French lands in India. Finally in 1815, the French were defeated and the war came to a close.

After the war, the Congress of Vienna took place. In it, the Celtic Kingdom managed to obtain Cornwall and all of French India, along with the captured English-held lands by the French. Brittany remained a part of France however, which slightly disappointed the Celts. Meanwhile, Prussia managed to annex a bunch of Northern German states and grew in strength. The Dutch and the Celts also gained French Louisiana and had split it between them. The Dutch also obtained the former French/England colony in Australia too.

With the Celts now having a foothold in India, they create the Celtic Raj. Over the years, the Celtic Raj grew in size and by the 1880s, would grow to cover all of the Indian Subcontinent, excluding other European colonies in the area. Sekibanki tried her luck in gaining the Kingdom of Kandy for the Celts, which became successful. Following her conquest of the nation in 1830, Celtic Ceylon was established.

Also in the 1830s, the Celts made their way to China, and had established trade with them. They also came in contact with Japan, which was quite powerful. The Celts tried to establish a trade agreement with them, but the Japanese had declined. Friendly relations with the Siamese Empire was also sought for, and obtained.

Things were beginning to heat up in Asia. With huge European presence and colonialism in the area, Japan went to take a step ahead and the Meiji Restoration took place earlier. In the 1880s, shortly after the French takeover of Vietnam, they attempted to launch an invasion of Siam to take some of their lands. However with Celtic and Sekibanki's aid, the Siamese managed to defeat the French and a non-aggression pact was signed.

In 1885, Hakurei Reimu became the first Prime Minister of Japan, and would lead the nation into a New Era. She also had plans to deal with the European colonialism in Asia in the future.

I've had no time to post. I've also been thinking of some more ideas for stories as well, but I haven't written anything for it.

----------------

In 1894, China declared war on Japan over control of Korea. However, this led to a Chinese loss, and the war came to an end in 1895. As a result, the Chinese lost Hainan, the Liaodong Peninsula (without L?shunkou District/Port Arthur), and Penghu to Japan. Parts of Manchuria also became under Japanese influence, which begun to rival the Russian influence there.

Tensions between Russia and Japan was inevitable, and soon led to the Russo-Japanese War in 1904. Later, on the night of 21/22 October 1904, the Dogger Bank incident occurred, when the Russians mistook the Celtic fishers for an Imperial Japanese Navy ship and attacked them. The Celtic Kingdom demanded an apology from them, but Russia refused. Following this, the Celtic Kingdom declared war on Russia in revenge. Sekibanki quickly joined in on the war for the Celtic side as well. Following the Celtic entry, France had joined in on the side of Russia, and begun fighting against the Celts.

With the Triple Alliance - Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy - staying neutral, the war didn't expand any further. Meanwhile France invaded Cornwall, along with the Celtic African colonies. The Celts fought back quite well, especially with the reinforcements from India, and the aid of Sekibanki. Reimu had some military to spare and ordered a few Japanese military divisions to invade Vietnam, along with Guangzhouwan. In India, the Celts launched an invasion of French-held territories within India.

In the Far East Front, the Russians tried gaining Kamchatka as well, but had been repelled by Reimu. The Shrine Maiden went on to invade Russian lands in the Far East, and ordered an attack on Vladivostok. The Japanese forces went on to take the city, and begun invading Russia from there as well. In Vietnam, the Japanese managed to take the northern part of the area, and marched on into the South. Guangzhouwan was easily conquered as well, and annexed into Japan.

In the African front, the Celts were defeating the French, and begun taking parts of French West Africa. However, the further the Celts continued, the more challenging it was to fight them. In Europe, Sekibanki had kicked the French out of Cornwall, and launched an invasion of Brittany. The Russian ships that aided the French were easily defeated by the Celtic Navy. By the Second Month in 1906, half of Brittany was conquered by the Celts.

The war came to an end in 1907, with a major loss for both France and Russia. Japan gained parts of the Russian Far East, Port Arthur, along with the French possessions in China, and Vietnam. France lost its Indian held territories and portions of French West Africa to the Celts. Brittany was also lost, and annexed into the Celtic Kingdom.

Following the war, the World had a brief and temporary peace for seven years. In 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand had been assassinated by Gavrilo Princip. This event was the start of the First World War. Reimu went to participate in this war, and begun invading the German colonies in Oceania and China. The Celtic Kingdom didn't participate at first, but when the Germans invaded neutral Belgium, the Celts changed their mind, and went on to join the war on the Allied side. Sekibanki herself decided to continue resting, and did not take part. Italy joined in on the Allies, aiming to gain the Austrian-held Italian areas.

The First World War ended in 1918. Austria-Hungary had dissolved, Italy gained the lands it aimed for, Reimu obtained and annexed German territories and colonies in the Asia-Pacific, German African colonies were ceded to the Celts. Russia fell into a revolution and evolved into the Soviet Union. The Baltic states managed to cede from Russia and gained independence, though soon united into one nation. The Baltic Republic also managed to purchase the Latvian lands from Scandinavia in exchange for an alliance with them. Some more new nations were also established, such as Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia.

The Interwar Era followed shortly afterwards. Despite the Celts helping the French in the First World War, some tensions continued between them, but begun to decline in the wake of a new government taking control of Germany in 1933. England also had a Fascist leader emerge and taking control, causing more concerns for the Celts and French. Japan's influence had spread across Asia, and was felt as far as Australia and Argentina. Kaku Seiga, who had moved back to China in 1912 along with Yoshika Miyako (who had been revived by Seiga as a Jiang Shi), went to deal with the Warlords in the nation and helped out the Republicans. Soon the Communists, led by Mao Zedong and Hong Meiling, arose as well. In 1927, China fell into civil war between the Communists and the Republicans.

In 1931, a few minutes after the Mukden Incident happened, Manchuria had been invaded by Japan, and was conquered by 1932. Reimu continued her plans as normal, and begun looking towards the Spanish Philippines. When the Spanish Civil War broke out in 1936, the Shrine Maiden wasted no time and quickly launched an invasion of the Spanish possession. By the time the Spanish Republicans managed to win the Civil War and established power in 1938, they had lost the Philippines to Japan.

The next World War would soon begin any day now.

In 1939, the war had begun. Reimu had launched another invasion of China. Seiga, Yoshika, the Republicans/Kuomintang, along with Meiling and the Communists, formed a temporary united front against the Japanese.  The Shrine Maiden herself decided to participate in the invasion of China. However a few hours later, a huge stalemate occurred. Reimu tried as best as she can, but fighting against three different powerful people at once was quite difficult. After a few hours, Seiga, Yoshika, and Meiling had managed to defeat Reimu, and went on to push the Japanese out of China. The Shrine Maiden had no choice but to sign a treaty with China, and the Second Sino-Japanese War came to an end. In 1940, the Chinese Civil War continued.

With the loss humiliating Reimu, she went on to invade other areas in Asia. Reimu begun invading the Dutch East Indies, along with English Hong Kong. The latter had been easily captured within a week, while the former took eleven months. Following this, she invaded Portuguese Timor, which took two weeks to take. Reimu then continued on to invade Dutch Australia. She would set aside from invading Siam, as she doesn't want to deal with the Celts just yet, especially Sekibanki.

In Europe, France had fallen to Germany. The Germans also tried their luck in invading Scandinavia, which had some success at first. The State of Denmark had fallen quite quick, but as the Germans advanced further into the region, they are met with a blockade of Norwegians, Swedes, and the Finns. The English also aided the Germans at first, though they soon were invaded by Sekibanki, and fell under Celtic occupation. Soon, she, along with some Celtic forces, went on to free France from the Germans. In a year and a half, France and the Lowland Countries had been released from German rule. The Germans also soon were pushed out of Scandinavia as well.

In the Pacific, the invasion of Australia, surprisingly enough, went fine. The Shrine Maiden used her many spell cards against the Dutch, resulting in decent victories. A year later, Australia fell under Japanese rule, and Reimu went on to invade Dutch New Zealand. The area was taken within a few months, however the Shrine Maiden suffered a few injuries in some of the battles. Reimu went to ignore it however, and begun thinking what to take next. In the meantime she would rest for a few months before launching another invasion.

Back in Europe, the Allied forces were easily defeating Germany and Italy. Seeking to expand their influence, the Soviet Union joined in on the war on the side of the Allies, and went to free Eastern Europe and the Balkans from German-Italian rule. Soon by 1943 the Axis nations in Europe was defeated, bringing the war there to an end. Sekibanki made her preparations and she began leaving for Asia to help the Allies there to defeat Japan.

Hearing about the Axis loss in Europe, Reimu decided to take her chance and launched an invasion of Thailand and Celtic India. Resistance there was tough, and some stalemates occurred. However it didn't stop Reimu, and she went on to use more spell cards in battles. Once Sekibanki had arrived, she and some of the Celtic forces decided to aid in liberating New Zealand and Australia from the Japanese. As they had begun to set foot in both areas, the Shrine Maiden decided to go on and try to prevent the Celts from freeing the areas. At this point, Japan begun suffering some losses.

In 1944, the Chinese Civil War came to an end, with Seiga, Yoshika, and the Republicans defeating the Communists. Mao and Meiling were put into prison for life. Soon, President Chiang Kai-shek declared war on Japan, and the Chinese begun invading Manchukuo, along with other Japanese holdings in China. The Japanese were taken by surprise, and within a year, the Chinese managed to push them out of China once and for all. They went on to side with the Allies, and aided in defeating the Island Nation.

To go even further, the nations of South Vinland, especially Chile and Argentina, begun declaring war on Japan, and went on to invade the Japanese colony below them. The Empire of Mexico soon followed, siding with the Allies as well. This quickly put pressure on Reimu, and she begun suffering defeats on all sides. Within two years, Japan was pushed out of Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Portuguese Timor, and the Dutch East Indies. The colonies in Vinland became occupied by Chile, Argentina, and Mexico as well. The Soviets were the last to declare war, and they quickly sought to gain back the lands lost in the Russo-Japanese War.

By late 1947, all Japan had left was the Home Islands, Taiwan, Karafuto, and the Chishima. Reimu had flew back to Tokyo and sought to sit out the rest of the war. The Chinese, Celts, Siamese, Dutch, Seiga, Yoshika, and Sekibanki begun invading the Southern part of the nation, while the Soviets invaded the North. Mamizou Futatsuiwa had decided that enough was enough and went to Tokyo. Once there, she fought Reimu, and won. Mamizou then became the Acting Prime Minister, and had the nation surrender.

A treaty was signed. In it, Japan was allowed to keep Karafuto, Chishima, Kamchatka, Taiwan, Hawaii, and its colonies in North and South Vinland along with Papua New Guinea. However, a part of the Russian lands the Japanese won from the Russo-Japanese War had to be given to the Soviet Union. The Philippines were to be given back to Spain, Portuguese Timor to Portugal, and the Dutch East Indies back to the Dutch. Australia and New Zealand were also given back to the Dutch, but were both given independence in 1950. Vietnam also declared independence as well, along with Korea. Hong Kong was given to China. The Second World War had officially came to an end after this.

Reimu Hakurei was thrown into the Tokyo Bay, and soon she decided to flee to Japanese South Vinland.

The Cold War came into full swing. Republican Spain decided to ally with the Soviet Union. Korea had suffered a civil war between Communists and Republicans. That war lasted for three years with a huge victory for the Republican faction. Greece also suffered a civil war and saw the Communists coming to power there. Two other blocs had formed to combat the Warsaw Pact, the European Defence Pact which is led by the Celtic Kingdom and Scandinavia, and the Asian League which is led by the Republic of China.

Decolonisation also went into full effect, and many nations over the years declared independence. However some, such as French Guinea and Spanish Florida, did not cede. Once Namibia had declared independence from the Celtic Kingdom, South Africa tried to launch an invasion of it. The Celts and Sekibanki went to aid the Namibians to repel the invasion and achieved victory. As a result of the war South Africa had to cede its exclave that solely bordered Namibia, to them.

Meanwhile in China, Hong Meiling had escaped from prison. She had fled to aid the Communist Revolution there. She was successful, and had helped establish the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This move disgusted Seiga, though she did not do anything for now. The Republic of China however would keep an eye out on Vietnam, especially since they allied with the Soviet Union a few days after establishment.

Tensions in South Vinland had heated up between Chile and Bolivia, and Ecuador and Peru, over land disputes. Soon, by 1970, the South Vinlandian War had begun when Bolivia made their move to regain the lost lands that Chile took in the Pacific War. Peru went on to aid Bolivia, and also invaded Ecuador. Paraguay joined in the war on the side of Chile, and Colombia joined in on Ecuador's side. Venezuela also tried their chance in gaining a portion of Suriname, which led to a war with the Dutch, Celtic Kingdom, and Sekibanki as well.

The South Vinlandian War came to an closing end in 1973. Aside from Paraguay gaining a piece of Bolivian land, the war resulted in mostly a status quo ante bellum. The Union of South Vinland was established, so to better prevent any more wars in the region. Japan and France became observers of the organisation, as they had colonies in the area.

The Cold War continued all the way until the late 1990s. In 1994, many nation in the Warsaw Pact had revolted against Communist rule. They had became successful and established democratic governments. Greece also went and made a peaceful transition to democracy. Other Communist governments had experienced democratic movements as well, even the Soviet Union itself. In 1995, the Soviet Union had dissolved and was succeeded by the Russian Federation, along with some new nations being created. Alaska had tried to declare independence, but was unsuccessful in doing so.

In Spain, the Communist Government had continued to rule until 1999, when major reforms had been made. Soon, Spain went and became a Federal Semi-Presidential Constitutional Republic. By 2007 the nation joined the European Union alongside Bulgaria and Romania.

By 2000, Vietnam had been the only Communist state remaining. The government continued to rule with an iron fist, and Meiling aided in taking out any protests. Tensions also remained between Vietnam and its neighbours as well, and skirmishes with China was not unheard of. However, in 2002, a major incident occurred not too far from Hainan Island, as a Chinese corvette had been sunken by a Vietnamese military submarine. A few days later, China declared war on Vietnam.

Within minutes, Chinese tanks begun storming across the border. Meiling was quick to arrive at the battle scene and launched huge attacks against the invading forces. A few hours later, Seiga and Yoshika had appeared, and begun dealing with her. A huge danmaku battle takes place, and a bunch of spell cards were used. After a while, the Celitc Kingdom lend support to China, and Sekibanki met up with both Seiga and Yoshika to help defeat Meiling.

By 2004, most of Vietnam had fallen. The Allied side continued to advance well, and were approaching closer to Hanoi. Meiling tried to prevent them from reaching the capital, but ended up being defeated by Seiga, Yoshika, and Sekibanki. With this, the rest of the war went smoothly, and Hanoi was captured by September. The Communist Government was dissolved, Meiling was put in prison once again, and a new government had been established for Vietnam.

Since then, not much had happened and the world had been more or less in peace.

In a different universe, it's currently 1834. Something was bound to happen somewhere in Texas quite soon. Meanwhile a time machine appears in Austin. The doors had opened, and Marisa Kirisame had walked out. Upon exploring the area, the Magician went to buy a decent house and begun settling in. The Magician also takes a notice and interest of the independence movements. This is where the next point of divergence takes place.

Marisa had spent her time investigating, and made her preparations. Soon when the Texas War of Independence broke out in 1835, the Magician begun to aid the Texans against Mexico. The war went on as usual, though Texas has more victories then OTL. When the Battle of the Alamo took place, the Mexicans almost managed to achieve victory. Marisa had managed to appear at that battle site just when it was closing. She went and used her Mini-Hakkero, and within seconds, the invading forces were crushed. From there, the War of Independence had been achieved.

Soon after, its independence was recognised by Belgium, France, Netherlands, and the US at first. Mexico still had refused to recognise them, and still claimed them as a territory. Fighting between the two nations continued on, mostly at sea and along the coastlines. In 1842, when the Battle of Salado Creek took place, and Marisa used her Mini-Hakkero once again to defeat the invading forces. Finally, war between the two nations would come to an end, and Mexico went to finally recognise Texas as independent.

Marisa's power and aid would influence the Texan Government, and many people would support remaining independent. Relations between Texas and the US remained decent, though the offers of admission into the US was kindly declined by the Texans, as a majority didn't want to join the nation. Relations went sour once James K. Polk was elected as the next President of the US. Polk went on to constantly try to offer Texas to join, but when they refused, he responded with war.

What was thought to be an easy victory at first, it heavily backfired once Marisa entered the war. The Magician went on to defeat the US Forces with lots of danmaku and her Mini-Hakkero. Polk wouldn't give up however, as he continued the invasion with full force. This didn't help at all, and the Texans continued to achieve more victories. By June 1846, Polk finally decided to give up and officially surrendered. A peace treaty was then signed ending the war.

Shortly after the war, more nations went on to recognise Texas. Most notable of these were the United Kingdom, Russia, Sweden, and Spain. Disgusted as the US attempts to gain a nation that preferred to be independent, the United Kingdom would annex all of Oregon County and made it a part of Canada, and not sell any of it. Some nations also cut relations with the US, especially the United Kingdom. Much tensions were felt in North America, though had slightly declined once Polk left office in 1849.

Texas went on to rebuild relations with Mexico, and later on became allies. Texas also became allied with the United Kingdom and Spain, as well as the lowland countries. A few years later in 1858, Marisa Kirisame was elected as President of Texas.

In 1861, the Confederate States went on to cede from the US. The Civil War went on as usual, however, the CS also attempted to take Texas. The attempt failed, and Marisa decided to launch an invasion of the unrecognised nation. With Texas intervening, the CSA was quickly defeated by 1863. With this, Texas-US relations begun to see some more improvement.

Meanwhile in other areas of the World, not much was going on. Denmark managed to win the Battle of Schleswig back in 1848, and kept the area. In 1870, Japan went on to purchase Alaska from Russia. Soon, Japan manages to discover gold in the area, and the territory soon was admitted as a Prefecture. China had their own Meiji Restoration-esque beginning in 1870, as did Korea. Reimu decided to go on a worldwide tour, and also ends up never establishing the border.

In 1894, the First Sino-Japanese War took place as usual. With an industrialised China and Korea, Japan had a difficult time in fighting. Nevertheless, the Japanese managed to gain Taiwan, Penghu, and the Liaodong Peninsula along with having Korea in the Japanese Sphere by 1898. Soon, tensions between Russia and Japan emerged.

Back in North America, the Cuban War of Independence broke out in 1895. Spain went on to fight against the rebellion. By the last three months of the war, the US went and intervened, in support of Cuba. Shortly afterwards, Marisa went to aid her ally Spain, which led to the War of the Caribbean. The war came to a close four months later, with Spain keeping Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Guam. Marisa also went on to aid Spain in taking back the Philippines, which was successful.

Later in 1901, Reimu stopped by in Texas to tour the area. Along the way, she ran into Marisa. After a while, Reimu went on to tell her about Japan. Soon, Marisa decided to open relations with Japan by 1902, and Japan did the same. Marisa also went to establish relations with Thailand and China as well.

Time went on, and in 1914, the First World War broke out. Texas went to join in on the Allied side. The war went on as usual, and Japan managed to gain German colonies in the Pacific. It comes to an end in 1918, with a victory for the Allies. Russia falls into a revolution and is succeeded by the Soviet Union.

The Interwar Era followed. Many nations were prospering, save for the Central Powers. The Republican/Kuomintang Government in China managed to defeat the Warlords and Communists, with the aid of Seiga. In Japan, Mononobe no Futo became elected as Prime Minister, and went to turn the nation into a liberal democratic state. With this, Futo managed to prevent the Militarism from rising, and democracy remaining strong, even after Emperor Taishō's death.

More years passed by, and in 1939, the European War broke out. Germany was invading Poland, and Italy was invading the Balkans. Spain and Texas soon joined in the war in 1940 on the Allied side, and Marisa herself went on to participate as well. Within the next few months, the Axis was suffering huge defeats, and by 1943, the war came to an end. While all of Germany was freed fully by the Allied Powers, the Soviets managed to secure the Balkans and Poland, turning them into satellite states.

The Cold War then emerged, between the Soviets and Comintern Pact against Texas and Allies. Marisa had established the Atlantic Defence Pact, which consisted of Western Europe (except Switzerland), Canada, Mexico, Denmark, Norway, and Texas. In Asia, a Communist rebellion took place in Korea, but was put down by Japan. Some other communist revolutions took hold in other parts of the world as well. Tensions in North America by this point was gone, and the Foreign Relations of the US  with other nations had improved overall, save for the Comintern. The US also joined the Atlantic Defence Pact in 1956.

In the 1960s, the Space Race occurred between the Soviets and Texans. The Soviets went and managed to have the first satellite, and first human in space. Following this, Marisa decided to make her goal of having the first person on Luna. By 1967, this had been achieved, and the Magician herself even went to Luna. During her trip to Luna, she ended up meeting the Lunarians, and also met with Watatsuki no Yorihime. A few hours later, Marisa and her crew went back to Earth, and much celebration was held in Dallas.

At the end of the 1980s, the Comintern fell apart, and the Soviet Union had dissolved by 1989, succeeded by the Russian Federation. Yugoslavia also fell apart, with Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina gaining independence. Montenegro, Macedonia, and Serbia remained united, having saved Yugoslavia from collapsing fully.

Marisa still remains President of Texas to this day.

In a different timeline, the point of divergence takes place in the 600s. The Frisian Kingdom had been established. Meanwhile a Time Machine appears, and doors opened. Both Yuyuko Saigyouji and Youmu Konpaku walk out, and begin observing their surroundings. What they weren't aware of, was that the Frankish Empire had planned to take the nation someday...

I guess the prospect of ruling Texas was a sufficient enough reason for Marisa to pursue immortality. Being the sole open user of magic in the area, one would also think that she could use her knowledge to raise an entire air force of magicians before most of the world even had cumbersome airships sailing at 4 mph, let alone airplanes. Or not, considering that they might defect, and soon, every nation would have magic.

I assume that Yuyuko will use her power in the late 1700's to help the French Revolution?

Spoiler:
Yuyuko will not only aid the French Revolution later on, but will also partake in the Napoleonic Wars.

----------

Within a few years of arrival. both Yuyuko and Youmu got to know the Frisian Kingdom well, and even picked up the language. They later got dragged into the Frisian?Frankish wars, and went to aid the Frisian side. With this, the Frisians had an assured victory, and the Franks started suffering heavy losses. The Franks were also not able to deal with Youmu, as she was too fast, and managed to crush a decent group of soldiers within seconds with her sword. By the 690s, the Frisian Kingdom had control over all the OTL Netherlands and Belgium.

The Franks, still continue seeing only defeats, decided to offer to end the war, and call for a peace treaty. The Frisian Kingdom agreed, and a treaty was signed. All captured Frankish land was annexed into the Frisian Kingdom as a result. The defeat had also weakened the Frankish Empire greatly, and by 810, had split into three kingdoms.

Meanwhile, the Frisians also saw Viking raids, starting around the late Eighth Century. Each raid was successfully defeated by Youmu, and after a few years of suffering heavy losses, the Vikings decided to stop raiding Frisia and focused on raiding other areas. The Vikings then went on to capture most of England by the end of the Eleventh Century, and had resisted Christianisation. Later on with this, Scandinavia (along with a decent portion of the island of Great Britain) would be one of the two places in Europe to continue having a pagan religion (Norse Paganism) as the dominant, with the other being Frisia (Germanic Paganism).

Near the end of the Tenth Century, Leif Ericson had discovered Vinland, and managed to establish a successful settlement. News of the new land was soon leaked into Frisia in 1048, and led them to also send a ship to explore. A Frisian ship soon landed around OTL Long Island, and soon a settlement was created. Both Frisia and Scandinavia tried to keep their settlements a secret from other Europeans for a long while.

The successful settlement in Vinland prompted Frisia to explore other places. However, starting in the late 1060s, the Holy Roman Empire attempted to invade Frisia and convert them. The invasion was unsuccessful, and Youmu managed to defeat the HRE Forces quite easily. Nevertheless the war continued for another ten years before the HRE decided to withdraw and sue for peace, though skirmishes would continue up until the 1300s. Frisia managed to gain a slice of OTL Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony).

Around 1127, a Frisian ship set sail to explore elsewhere. Yuyuko was also aboard this ship, and was the one leading the crew, while Youmu stayed behind just in case Frisia was attacked again. The Frisian ship went to travel down and around Africa, and reached the Indian Sub-Continent by 1128. After a while they then continued on to Srivijaya, stopped by in Champa and Vietnam, rested in China for a few days, before finally reaching Japan. Once in Japan, Yuyuko and the Frisians explored around. The Ghost Princess took note of the Soga clan that continued ruling over most of the island nation. Soon, Yuyuko and the Frisians decided to head back home, though the Ghost Princess would later visit again.

In Vinland, the Scandinavian and Frisian colonies continue to flourish and slowly expand. By the 1200s, the Scandinavian colony contains all of OTL Newfoundland and Labrador and Northern Qu?bec, while the Frisian colony compromised OTL New Jersey, New York, and New England (minus Maine). The Natives, while still managing to put up a good fight, have been weakened heavily by the diseases that the Scandinavians and Frisians brought. Meanwhile, the Iroquois had established their own nation out of a portion of Southern Ontario to defend themselves against the Frisians, which was successful for now.

Roughly 195 years later, in the 1390s, Zheng He made his own voyages and managed to discover the Western Coast of Vinland for China, and quickly led the Chinese colonisation of the continent. In the Eastern part of the continent, the Scandinavians have just about conquered all of Qu?bec, and the Frisians had expanded further south, up until, and including, OTL North Carolina. Also by this time, both the Scandinavians and Frisians had established small trade ports in Africa, India and China. The rest of Europe was still far behind, though some rumours had begun to spread into Portugal and Castile, and both governments have decided to begin investigating as curiosity got to them.

The competition was bound to heat up soon, especially in the colonial department. The New World would soon be revealed to other nations too...
