>Clap hellcrow on the shoulder, and lead her where we need to go. Give Satori the appropriate farewells when we part company.

> Okuu grins, or at least tries to.  She still seems shaken by what happened earlier.
> The three of you head for the main gate.  Satori's pets, their work done, have now retreated inside.  Satori, however, follows you and Okuu right to the exit.  You take a moment to say farewell before you part ways for the time being.
> "Take care of her," Satori says to you.  She then hugs the both of you.
> You and Okuu fly off and head back towards the bridge.  Despite being a safe distance from the water, Okuu keeps giving it the side-eye until you've both reached the bridge again.  The girl in the towel has not moved from her previous position, but Parsee and Yuugi are busy patching up parts of the bridge that were damaged by the water.  Okuu lands on the bridge railing, dances along it for a few steps, and then flutters to the middle of the bridge.

> "You really did!"  She sets down the hammer she's holding and hops over a few beams to reach Okuu.
> "Heya," the oni greets, and she and Okuu bump fists (Okuu giggles).  Parsee is staring at all three of you, and almost hits her fingers with the hammer she's using.

So, I see four clear paths.

A. We beat up Kanako until she confesses
B. We beat up Iku until she confesses.
C. We have Satori talk to da fishes.
D. We pick a place and go to it.

Thoughts?

As much as I like C I think it might involve too much planning. B is out because actually pinning down Iku would be pretty difficult - I mean, for all we know, she could be at the Dragon Palace right now.

I say we start with A, and retreat back to C if grilling the Moriyas gets us nowhere.

Unless we remember Yuugi being a really unpleasant character we can probably trust her with Okuu.

>"Alright, I'm heading toward Youkai mountain, if anyone asks. You all try to keep dry!"
>Let's head out the bridge path to the surface; keep an eye out for other residents.

> Parsee goes back to hammering.  "Good."
> You cross the bridge and enter the tunnel that leads to the surface.  As expected, there's water here too, but it falls harmlessly down the tube like little waterfalls.  You don't see any tsuchigumo here, but you do see one or two tsurube-otoshi.  none of them stick around long enough for you to recognize any.
> After a while, you reach the surface.  The sky is still starry and colorful, and the water bubbles up there haven't moved.  It's a little jarring to see this instead of Gensokyo's blue summer sky.
> It seems the water from the flooded pond behind the shrine has extended all the way out to the underground entrance, but the drainage isn't big enough to cause any problems.

>Give that thing a quick look on the way over to the youkai mountain - seems like a good place to find Yukari, or at least Ran.

> You glance up at the sky while you're flying to Youkai Mountain.  You consider the possibility that Yukari and/or Ran would be up there, near the big crack in the sky.  That would certainly be an interesting location for them to be!  It seems like a long flight, though.
> You pass over the Human Village and see that the Palaquin is right where you left it.  You're too high up to see anyone you recognize, though.  At least you recognize the landmarks down below.  It's not long before you're hovering over the fields that are at the base of Youkai mountain.  Despite all the wheat that's probably been ruined, it looks pretty from your viewpoint.  Especially with all the fish.

>OK then, we'll deal with the scar later. We have an appointment to attend to.
>Ascend the mountain.

> You figure the sky can wait.
> You fly up the mountain, past the submerged forest, and the kappa and their merry-making.  You go past the waterfall and over the tengu village.  As usual, the trees here are so large you can't even see past the walls.  You can see, however, the occasional tengu going back and forth over the walls.  A few more seem to be standing guard a good distance from this area.  Most likely intercepting people who get too close, you imagine.
> Somewhere near the tengu village, you see a shrine.  It looks like it's pretty well-kept, and there are even people there, indicating that it's an active shrine.  Youkai, you assume, are its patrons; very few humans ever get this far up the mountain.
> You leave all this behind, and eventually the Moriya Shrine is in sight.  From this high up, the view is staggering.

> All you have to do is turn around to find the source of the murmuring.  It seems that in your rage, you failed to notice all the youkai loitering around the front of the shrine.  They're all staring at you, some looking intimidated and others plain confused.  A few mountain faeries of low constitution flee at the sight of your face.
> One person in the middle of the crowd raises their hand and speaks up.
