Crystal ball is author self-insert/GMPC in disguise. Leave it behind.

If we take the CB, we're going to want to carry it (or request Sakuya keep it with her for now). Koakuma will probably end up getting it broken (or something). Actually if we have a bit of time till we get going we could use the thing to kill some time (staring at hands).  :3

> Patchouli: Get crystal ball and hand it off to someone else.

You temporarily undo the SEAL on your CRYSTAL BALL that stops Kirisame from running off with it, and add it to your inventory.

Conveniently, your familiar comes along at just the right moment for you to hoist it off on her.

She easily adds the CRYSTAL BALL, which is not heavy at all for an ordinary person, to her inventory.

Upon noticing your GARISH ATTIRE, she elects to have a chuckle at your expense.

You decide to show mercy, since Remi will probably be along any minute. There'll be plenty of time to set your familiar on fire after the party.

> Patchouli: Approach Sakuya.

Sakuya has just finished drawing Rumia a MAP. She even did it on the paper she carries around herself instead of on your nice parchment. So thoughtful!

Not about to miss out on a another opportunity to get herself destroyed, your familiar gives Sakuya a THOROUGH RIBBING about her ARTIFICIAL ENDOWMENTS. Sakuya insists that it is no different than wearing COSMETICS, or for that matter, FAKE JEWELRY. Your familiar quickly concedes.

Sakuya greets you and says that although she knows you didn't pick out the outfit for yourself, it suits you better than you think.

You tell her that that REALLY ISN'T A COMPLIMENT.

Sakuya notes that you are a bit tipsy and asks if you've been into your SCROLL RACK again. You reply that you had one of the fairies make you something that could TECHNICALLY BE CLASSIFIED AS COFFEE, and that you will be fine.

Sakuya performs one of her EXPERT SUBJECT CHANGES and mentions that Remilia will be meeting up with you down here shortly.

Speak of the Scarlet Devil.

Remilia notes the lack of applause from the LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE, and wonders if they found out about that TERRIBLE THING SHE DID. And if so, WHICH ONE.

Regardless, she makes her way towards your desk, where you immediately catch her eye.

You have earned some REMILIA AFFECTION POINTS.

Remilia next addresses the VERY DARK ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM.

Remilia wonders out loud if Rumia could be dressed up and added to her entourage.

Rumia replies that she will only go if her friend Wriggle can go as well.

Remilia retracts the offer.

Apparently satisfied with this resolution, Rumia proceeds to thank you and Sakuya for the map, and says that she will see you at the party. She takes her leave, which means I don't have to draw with that dark background anymore. Thank god.

Remilia says it's about time for all of you to get going as well, because you have a PARTY TO CRASH (even though you cannot actually crash it because you are explicitly invited).

Do you have anything TERRIBLY IMPORTANT (or alternately, marginally important) that you wish to do before leaving for the party?

Who's to say that Patchouli would be in any condition to know this, either? She was "reading" a lot, after all ... ;)

Or maybe "coffee is antidote to drunkenness" is the kind of myth that ended up being literally true in Gensokyo, at least for a magician-youkai like Patchy.

Assuming Patchy has a Str of at least 3, she can carry 10 lbs as a light load, and 30 lbs as a heavy load. Clothing plus spellbook is unlikely to make her collapse.

Patchy does not play D&D.

She plays oWoD Mage.

Ah, but that is only under the assumption of D&D mechanics reigning over the game. Looking at the general comic on its own, it would be more plausible that everyone operates on a Vim gauge - which is canonically capable of disappearing.

...then again, there was the 100-meter Namusan bit...

...well, does Patchy have a Str of at least 3? Is that a bare minimum in D&D games?

Wait, I think I can make something up on the grounds of the crystal ball being a heavy load. Assuming it's not a rock crystal (see-through), it probably weighs a good deal less than 30 lbs...

I risk riding off on my trusty steed named Tangent again. MOVING ON!
