Stop with the stupid ideas that will get us killed.

Ichirin and Unzan are above Nue in the Myouren power rateing chart.

I don't even remember who put the above in my sig. [Wasn't me] Nor do I understand why I keep it here anymore.
Those two facts sum me up pretty well.

Follow Kilga's hypothetical plan and not Elephant's because counter-prank is most amusing move considering Nue's measures against direct counterpranking.

> Byakuren: Namusan.

> Ichirin: Wonder if you have any FASHION RIVALS.

While there's an outside chance you won't be the best-dressed at the party, you won't worry about it too much. Fashion is not a good field for competition; trying too hard to outdo everybody else only winds up with you wearing the most OUTLANDISH OUTFITS IMAGINABLE. You learned this lesson the hard way when you first wore your experimental RING DRESS.

Never again.

> Unzan: Get ready to give Nue an earful.

You are going to give that Nue Houjuu SUCH A SCOLDING. You are going to SCOLD HER so bad! She better pack up her wagon and grab her mining helmet because she's headed straight for a CALIFORNIA SCOLD RUSH.

Yes. You definitely won't chicken out this time. Sure, you hate attention, and the idea of making a scene makes your mustache curl, but by golly does that girl need it. You will definitely, definitely scold her.

...Eventually. You know. When the time is right.

> Ichirin: Hatch devious counterprank plan.

As long as there's no harm done, it wouldn't hurt to mess with Nue's head a bit. Why not give Yuugi a real cake in the same box and get her to say how good it is?

If only you could acquire some sort of DELICIOUS BOOZECAKE to give to Yuugi instead of the VILE SOYCAKE. But where will you acquire such a thing on short notice?

On the way back to the temple, you cross Mamizou's path. Looks like she's back, with a whole crate of sake no less! Probably as much for herself as for the party.

Baking a cake is just playing into Nue's hands. It means we spent extra money and/or effort due to her pranks.

The correct answer is to find a way to saddle her with it.

Maybe Nue's real prank all along is to make us think too hard about how to counterprank her. If we're assuming she's truly a master prankster then all plans to counterprank have to account for her accounting for a counterprank, and therefore impossible to predict.

goddamn it's like i'm playing mafia

EDIT: i'm joking by the way

It's Nue we're dealing with, not Tewi. She's not that good.

Baking a cake is just playing into Nue's hands. It means we spent extra money and/or effort due to her pranks.

Effort is effort, and hard work is rewarded. If we're all the more popular through cake-baking, then I'm sure Nue would be as annoyed as she would have been through a well-executed counterprank that nobody seems to be able to come up with anyway.

It's Nue we're dealing with, not Tewi. She's not that good.

Tewi digs holes and drops washbins on heads. Nue was about to kill a Deva with a cake.

> Ichirin: Resist urge to scritch Mamizou's ears.

Mamizou doesn't like that! She is totally okay with having her tail be mofumofu'd, though. But you won't do that right now since she's carrying a crate that looks pretty heavy.

> Ichirin: Consider establishing counterprank conspiracy with Mamizou.

Too risky!! While Mamizou and Nue certainly aren't above pranking each other, she could just as easily play you right into Nue's hands, or maybe even throw both of you under the bus to score a 2x PRANK COMBO.

Mamizou asks you if everyone's getting ready to leave. You tell her that you'll probably be leaving within the hour. Mamizou says good, she's not running late then.

Mamizou says she likes your outfit and that you should get a matching hat for Unzan.

YOU TOTALLY SHOULD. But this is the only cowboy hat you have. How unfortunate! You'll have to keep this in mind next time you go hat shopping.

You tell Mamizou that you just need to take care of something real quick and that you'll be along in a minute. She nods and heads inside.

> Ichirin: Try to figure out how to get a sake cake.

There's not enough time to bake one. Even if there was, you're not a good enough cook to make it delicious enough that you're certain it will please Yuugi.

The temple is near the human village, so you could buy a cake from the bakery there. But they're not likely to have something like a sake cake onhand, and it's not like you can just dump the sake in the cake.

You can't think of anywhere you could get an object as unusual as a sake cake on short notice! It was a good idea, but it looks like you'll have to just let this one go.

SUDDENLY!

A girl in a strange dress appears in a puff of smoke! She informs you that she is PASTEL KUCHEN GATEAU, a whisk tsukumogami with the ABILITY TO MANIPULATE CAKE. She says that she has been summoned here by your HEARTFELT WISH for a DELICIOUS CAKE!

She uses her magic wand on the BOILED SOYBEAN CAKE, transforming it into a SAKE CAKE fit for a Deva! It even has one of those neat little cocktail umbrellas.

You try to find the words to thank Pastel, but before you get the chance, she tells you that she must be off, and flies into the sunset (despite the fact that it is 10 AM). "Remember, always save the biggest piece for last!" Her words echo in your heart.

Farewell, whisk tsukumogami - we'll never forget your kindness. You add the SAKE CAKE to your inventory.
