Dormio: It sure does. We currently do lynch active lurkers, though, which covers one end. And I like to think we'd start lynching people that try to respond to this by making several posts with next to no content instead of one post with not much content, too.
There's also possible tweaks like only counting posts with at least, say, 20 words for this.
BT: That raises the issue of who can be tarred and feathered, though. This is not supposed to give town two freely decidable lynches on who they think is the most likely to be scum, but rather the option to prune those players that contribute the least amount of content and are hard to read as a result of this, without town getting the punishment of a nightkill for it.
The main problem with LaL is that it's only effective over multiple games as long as town is roughly as likely to lurk as scum. If the punishment for killing lurkers is significantly reduced, the strategy becomes much more viable.
