>Try to force the trident back to the mark we were aiming for, shifting ourself and our grip on the trident forward in the process for better leverage, but be wary of stepping into easy shield bash range
>However, be ready for him to release his grip on the weapon and go for his sword
>If he does this while his arm is in a position where we cannot readily follow up simply by stabbing him in the joint once he releases and we're close enough to have a chance of this working (and without the shield being too much in the way, although it's already if we can't SEE what we're reaching for), quickly release one of your own hands off the trident and lunge it towards his hand. Ideally, try to get our hand on the hilt before he can, but otherwise simply grasp our hand on his and prevent him from drawing it free.

>You try to stab at Sir Kay, his response is to jerk the weapon toward him, and a bit away; then suddenly his whole body is lunging forward past the head, or is he falling? You can't really  tell but he is closing on you in some manner!

>Take to the air, dashing up and backwards and angling to the side, pivoting our whole body away from his charge. Let our hands slide back along the trident haft rather than attempt to pull it free from his grip, though make sure we don't get it ripped away from us entirely.

>You take to the air and pull back your grip.
>As you do, Sir Kay slams his shoulder into the shaft, sending your arms wide. It very near wrenches it from your grasp and leave your fingers aching a bit, while he falls to the ground, shield raised over his head.

>You think so. You can't see with his shield in the way.
>You are floating about a foot up in the air; he is on the ground, laying on his side.

>His sides are exposed, as are the back of his legs, though the latter presents a more difficult target.

>Quickly, try to get in a trident thrust at an exposed side before he can really rise again. Take care not to actually drive this in far enough to do serious damage if we manage to make it past all the armor, but keep our weapon pressed against it if we can.

>You thrust your trident into his side as he stands. You try to hold it back a bit this time, and feel it hit against the metallic mesh again. This time, however, you don't seem to have enough force to penetrate it much; you're not sure if you've harmed him at all.
>The force of the hit makes him stagger a bit, but he gets back to his feet, lowering his shield and causing you to notice that the danmaku you had set up has stopped.

>His face is not fully protected, but you suspect he has the reflexes necessary to guard it from most things.
>He has not yet drawn his sword, but you are certain he's reaching for it.
>He seems to be keeping it behind his shield, close to his torso. You don't have a very clear shot at it.
>At a glance, he seems to be well defended at the moment. The closest thing he seems to have to an opening is on his lower legs.

>Launch a quick burst of danmaku at his face, and simultaneously shift a little to the left and strike with our trident towards his sword arm. Even if we don't have an obvious opening in his armor to aim for, at least try to interfere with him freely drawing his weapon, and leaving our trident well-positioned to parry

>You launch a quick burst of danmaku; Sir Kay ducks down, keeping his shield roughly where it is. The shots that do not clatter against his shield or armor sail over his head.
>You hear the distinct metal on leather noise of his sword being drawn as you bring your trident to bear against him.  Having not taken time to resecure your grip on it or the hilt you are holding, the blow is not particularly strong and glances off of his forearm as he draws it back, hilt in hand. You do force him to take a step back, lest you entangle his arm in some inconvenient way.

>Take a step back, ourselves, and resecure our grip
>Where is the fence in relation to the two of us now?

>You step back as well and find your grip as well as you can. Holding onto the Broken Sword Handle is most certainly going to cut into your ability to use the Trident, but you definitely can apply more leverage now, and move at least one of your hands quickly to shift position. On the other hand, you'll have a harder than usual changing the side you are favoring with the weapon. Presently you are favoring your right.
>The few is a step or two behind Sir Kay, and thus about two yards from where you are now.

>You keep your trident ready, and start to conjure another rain of bubbles, but Sir Kay does not seem interested in giving you time to do so, as he closes the distance between you in a step and comes at you with a low slash to your left.  You snap your trident up to catch the blade, but as you do he changes the angle of the attack, bringing it high and toward your chest!

>Leap backwards and ready the trident to catch another blow

>You leap backwards, the blade passing perilously close to your chest, then to your arms.  You find you have a decent shot at his torso from this position, but not enough distance to really put any force behind it. At the same time, he seems to be bringing his blade back for another slash from the right side this time, a high one.

>You duck any and bring your trident up to catch the slash. The angle is somewhat awkward, but you feel the sword slam solidly between the tines. His shield immediately comes flying toward you; ducking down has put your face in its path.

>Simultaneously use a burst of flight to effectively flip ourselves up and away from the blow

>You raise the haft and take to the air. The latter action does much to negate the usefulness of the former, and his Shield slams into your stomach as you rise up, causing you to jerk back in midair, and knocking a good deal of wind from your lungs!
