Similar Songs in Touhou

I've made this thread to identify the similar songs in Touhou.
I've found some similarity with Faint Dream and Gensokyo, Past and Present... why Yuuka's songs are too similar?

Vulnerable Battlefield, The Gods Give Us Blessed Rain, and both versions of Player's Score sound very similar (the eighth note section)

UN Owen, Heian Alien, Lonesome Werewolf similar (obvious)

Maple Wise and Legendary Illusion are similar in one section

Maple Wise and Solar Sect of Mystic Wisdom have almost the same chord progression. You could mix those two together easily.

Cheat Against Impossible Danmaku and Alice in Wonderland have a similar melody

Alice Maestra and Nostalgia Blood of the East

Romantic Children and Nostalgia Blood of the East

Plastic Mind and Nostalgia Blood of the East

Gengetsu has a part in her song where it's basically the beginning of Stage 5 Yuuka's theme sped up.

IN's staff roll is basically a remix of PoDD staff roll.

IN stage 4, DDC stage 3,  Tsukumo Sister's theme, and many others have hints of Theme of Eastern Story in it.

The beginning of Nuclear Fusions is similar to Strawberry Crisis.

The soft melody in DDC stage 5 sounds a bit like Komachi's theme.

Nuclear Fusion has parts of Venerable Ancient Battlefield hidden in it.
Maiden's Cappriccio (and Dream Battle) take directly from Magic Mirror.
Silk Road Alice is the first time that theme was used in an actual game, if I'm not mistaken. But I might be.
Hourai Illusion ~ Far East sounds like Gensokyo Millenium in it's intro.
Cheat Against Impossible Danmaku has the same first 7 or so notes as Satori Maiden ~3rd Eye, and has Demystify Feast towards the end.

The melody at the end of Seija's theme "Reverse Ideology" is similar (but not identical) to the main melody of the UFO extra stage theme "UFO Romance in the Night Sky" (which starts playing in the middle of the Kogasa midboss fight and continues for a couple of sections afterwards).

The most obvious similarity that I can name of the top of my head is the similarity between "U.N Owen Was Her" and "Heian Alien"; some parts are very much alike, to me at least.

I think parts of Ultimate Truth and Retribution for the Eternal Night sound rather similar.

I hear a bit of Gensokyo the Gods Loved in Faith is for the Transient People too. And I swear there's a bit of Because Princess Inada is Scolding Me in Native Faith.

Argue for and Against sounds sort of similar to Drunk as I Like to me too.

DDC's extra stage theme sounds like Rigid Paradise in my opinion.

Parts of Legend of Hourai from Dolls in Pseudo Paradise sound like History of the Moon.

A bit of listening on my iTunes, and three actually. Argue for and Against, Drunk as I Like and Swing a Fish to Drive Away Flies all sound almost identical.

The Ground is Yellow also uses a similar theme. On that note, Fragrant Plants and Dancing Water Spray are nearly identical, and both bear a strong resemblance a certain part of The Witch's Ball remix from IaMP. Whoever made the music for this game was really cutting corners.

Did You See That Shadow from Hisoutensoku also uses it, but no other song in the game does so I'd like to say it's just homage. Same goes for Morning Clouds from HM.

Huh, I didn't even notice until you pointed it out. Maybe it was less cutting corners, more that it was trying to pull a Super Mario World,  with all of the songs based off a single tune?

U2 Akiyama points out the reason for all the similair-sounding pre-battle themes.

Also interesting is how the two noted battle themes are at the exact tempo.

Can't believe no one's mentioned the ending of Seiga's Old Yuanxian yet. It's pretty much Necrofantasia. Although it feels a little like ZUN troubled over how it should end, I feel like it works well anyway.
