We should just do our version of the tournament japanese players host every year. Two players of about the same caliber play for 2.5 hours of x game on x mode and the one with a higher score wins. Also survival 1 credit LNB matches with lower misses wins. I think they also have two teams and whichever team has more winners in matches they win the tournament.
I like the idea, and I would love to post around Korean, Japan forums to really test things out.
This is what I'm thinking so far :
Prelim : Announcement in like a week before that two games will be chosen at random
Random game is chosen from 6,7,8,10,11,12,13,14
No participant limit, Scoreboard top 2 AVG gets chosen, users have 1 or 2 days to get the best score possible
Example , Prelim game : 7Lunatic and 13Lunatic
Scoreboard :
Rank 1 : John Doe 7 : 10000 13 : 20000 Avg : 15000
Rank 2 : etc etc
FinalsTop 2 players are chosen and met at a different day
Best of 3
Round 1 Game 1(7 Lunatic)
Round 2 Game 2(13 Lunatic)
Round 3 Random from Game 1 and Game 2
Kind of brings back the idea of using replays to stream the matches. Two finalist players need to provide replays within 50 minutes.
When Round 1 is being shown to public, players work on Round 2. and so forth
There are some problems from me not knowing how the replay works
Is there any way to cheat out of this? (alternating scores within replay file?, date/time using old prefect replays?, using a cheated client?)
Additionally.. I mean, how do replay files actually work?
Also, for Tech/Streaming wise. How do you run two clients at once? I couldn't figure it out :p
Those are the only big problems I see here. Had a lot of fun thinking about this, one day it will be run!? Anyone know the Japanese community well to share this idea?
Also, I am really getting into Soku and Masquerade as well (I like fighting games, didn't know these exist!). I assume there are tournaments for those as well?
