Giving DQ7 a serious look now that I've had some time to... give it a serious look. Class systems with routes mean party planning and hoo boy if there's anything I enjoy about video games it's planning how I'll play one before I even touch it.
Naw man, me and Reddyne lived that shit. The NES was still the new hotness when we were elementary schoolers.
Yeah I've been playing video games since 1989. I'm not snobby enough to think DOT MATRIX 4 LYFE BRUDDA but really anything that lets the people making the game paint the picture they want to paint is best. The Wii U is not a very powerful system and eye-soaking graphics at a killer resolution with a 5 kilometer draw distance while capturing every last blade of grass waving in the wind all at the same time is optimistically VERY tough to optimize and realistically out of reach.
Everything Konami has done in the last year just makes me think less of them. It's a damn shame because it comes on the heels of MGSV, which is an absolute blast and I've been able to milk it for about 3 times as many hours as I thought I would. But Konami likes money too much now. No more Castlevania. No more Silent Hill. No more Suikoden (was holding out hope for years). They'll never make anything like these ever again and it's a damn shame.
EDIT: Speaking of Castlevania, they had some demos of Bloodstained out there. It looks real sharp. Not gun lie day 1 buy take my money Iga.
