I don't think that that's the proper way to start a doujin C79 game topic but, whatever.  :V

I'm planning to get it soon, but by the looks of it isn't it sort of Mystery Dungeon-wise? I actually love those games, so I can't wait to get my hands on a copy. I also heard it was very challenging, but it came from an inexperienced player so I can't really take their word for it.

Any feedback?

To store an item, you need to finish the route to the end.

Alternatively, you can put the item in the 倉庫のスキマ(schemasukima of storage)
Select 倉庫のスキマ in the items menu and choose 入れる then choose the item.it
If done correctly, you can ask for it from Hieda no Akyu after you finish the dungeon.

This game is hard, and not knowing Japanese makes it harder.
You need a lot of luck and/or knowledge of items to beat it.

If you give her a total of 100000 money, she can give you a ride for free to the Hakurei Shrine, the Human Village, and the Kawashiro Factory.
I'm not sure if you have to beat the first storyline to be able to take a ride, though.

Kill them and earn items.

is what I usually do.

After the main storyline, Sanae will do some kind of quiz.
If you can answer all 50 questions correctly, she will give you rare items.

If you talk with Yuugi and answer the first option, she will give you お酒(sake, beer etc.)

Anything else is not useful for surviving.

Kill them with danmaku. Because danmaku is power you can't use your normal attacks here.

how to do synthesis item in this game?
Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on February 25, 2011, 06:00:20 PM
Use the 合成のスキマ(sukima of synthesis). But that is a rare item.

I recommend using Nitori to synthesis items. She is normally invisible and can be seen by using the 目薬(eyedrop) item. She can be recognized by the rockets she shoots.
Throw the items you want to synthesize at Nitori and kill her to get the synthesized item.
Nitori in the Original Gensokyo Route 6~7F can synthesize 2 items, but has a chance to fail.
Nitori-san in the Moonlight Route 15~16F can synthesize 2 items and will not fail.
Nitori-sama in the Moonlight Route 25~26F can synthesize 3 items, and will not fail
If you have the Original Fushigi no Gensokyo 1.20 installed, the other Gensokyo route 15F~16F also has Nitori-san.

Nitori's attack will go up by 100% for each item she gets, so be careful.
You can throw みず(water) at Nitori to level her up.

Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on February 26, 2011, 11:06:07 AM
Just equip the equipment and kill enemies. It's that simple.
The weapons and shields have 9 levels, and can take 900,000 exp., 1,000,000 exp., or 1,700,000 exp., depending on equipment.
The amulets(ying yang orb items) don't level up.

what is the use of an pink orb item?
Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on March 05, 2011, 03:03:35 PM
How should I explain this.... this is a huge part of gameplay.

The Pink orb(印) is what gives the Weapons, Shields, and Amulets the various abilities. Sort of like a add-on modification.
Every Equipment has a set amount of  pink orbs it can have, and you can't put in more than the max number.

Pink orbs can be added by synthesizing.

Some Pink orbs can level up, but it can only gain exp. when it is the 'Base Pink orb"(The innate one) or when the Weapon or Shield is a specific one.
Pink orbs that have been synthesized doesn't normally gain Exp.

Pink orbs can be also in other items, like Spell Cards or Potions.

Pink orbs can be classified by Weapons-only, Shields-only, and others.

Weapons-only pink orbs have red Kanji, and abilities include increased damage to certain types of enemies, ability to break terrain, and other things that usually happens when attacking.
Shields-only pink orbs have blue Kanji, and abilities include reduced explosion damage, automatic counter when attacked, and other things that usually happens when attacked.
Other pinks orbs have white Kanji, and can be either Amulets-only or can be synthesized in more than one type of equipment.

I can rant more about this because it is important, but I fear that it will become too long.

And to answer the question :
A lone Pink orb as an item can be either obtained by one of Shou's special ability to pull out a non-Base Pink orb of a equipped item, or putting an item in  消化のスキマ(Sukima of Digestion) and breaking it by throwing it at a wall. The Pink orb as an item can be used to just synthesize the Pink orb to a Equipment. Choose the Pink orb, choose 使う(use), then choose a Equipment to synthesize the Pink orb.

how to defeat flandre or utsuho?
Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on March 06, 2011, 03:27:26 PM
The first thing I would recommend is to just run away to the next floor.

Flandre has a Level as same as the No. of floor, and will have (72+3*Lv.) HP and 100*Lv. exp.
If Flandre is in a room with a item lying around, there is a very high probability that she will use a attack that will break all items in the same room.
Flandre can also use 禁忌「レーヴァテイン」(Taboo 「L?vatein」) to make fire on an area, which will deal damage that will decrease over time.
II can defeat a Lv.22 Flandre 1-on-1 with +50 Defense, +50 Attack, and 150HP brute force only.

She will heal various status ailments, so do a keep-away game with 遠離の札(Tag of Far Away?) and danmaku. Also use 招雷の札(Tag of Lighting Call) or the damaging Spell Cards if you need more damage.
You can throw the 招雷の札 to deal the whole damage at once.

Utsuho has about 300 HP and 5000(!) exp.
Her normal attacks are ranged attacks like danmaku.
She can use 核熱「核反応制御不能」(Atomic Fire "Uncontainable Nuclear Reaction") to buff her attack.
She also can use 核熱「核反応制御不能ダイブ」(Atomic Fire "Uncontainable Nuclear Reaction Dive") to run into Reimu and appear on the other side.

First of all, when you see her, use the 無能の札(Tag of Incompetence?) to stop Utsuho from buffing her attack. If you don't have it, running away would be the best choice.
After you used the 無能の札, she can only attack when you are adjacent to her, so use the same tactics.
I can barely finish a Utsuho with +60 Defense, +60 Attack, and HP200 on a 1-on-1 brute force with 無能の札.

Really, any strong enemy who is much stronger than you ( ex : Lily White-sama, with the mismatching eyes) can be defeated this way.

I said all this, but really, just running way is the smartest choice.

After the 1.0151 patch, go to the Kawashiro Factory to see what they do best (speaking in Japanese). Then Nitori mentions a few rocket parts you have to give her.
潜在起原動機 (Gear)
地核熱永燃炭 (Fuel)
球状木鋼鉄甲 (Armor)
They all have 20 something.
If you give these three parts to Nitori, she'll make a vehicle which will be in the Hakurei Shrine.
This dungeon is very very hard, and you can only bring in your equipped equipments and one sukima.

It doesn't matter if you leave the level, just make sure it's the right kind of sukima. There are many different kinds.

I have some questions.
Is there any way to guard yourself against harmful status ailments? I don't want to get completely screwed over by vault levels.
Is it worth to visit Ichirin and get a high + value on your equipment? I don't really notice it doing much difference.
Is there any kind of limit to the number of pink orbs you can put in an item?

Thanks! Mmm, can't answer the pink orbs thing, but...

As for guarding yourself against status ailments, there are several accessories in dungeons spawned at random, check the description of the accessory to see its effects; basic RPG moonrunes will let you know if it guards against Sleep, Poison, Confuse, etc.

IMO, every bit of damage counts in an insane game like this, so you'll probably want to upgrade as much as you can

EDIT: Isn't there some kind of wiki for this game? I've been hearing about one but Google doesn't bring up any results...

If the orb is the innate orb(the first orb inside the [ ]), it will gain exp. along with the equipment.
If it isn't, and was added by synthesizing, it usually won't gain exp.

Nothing can prevent Ran from kicking your equipment.
You can use 無能の札 on Ran to make Ran unable to use her special ability.
Or you can just take off your equipment, but that is a rather stupid choice.

Leveling up your weapon will get you more orb slots.
The only other way I know is using the [拡](expand) orb in the 博麗アミュレット(Hakurei Amulet), which will give you 2 more orb slots.
Only thing is, the Hakurei Amulet is one if the most rare items in the whole game, so use it very wisely.

what is the best equipment for survival?
Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on April 09, 2011, 03:37:48 PM
Now that is a hard question.
Weapons, shields, amulets, orbs, and even resonance should be considered
Everything has its pros and cons, so it is not easy to compare the possible options.

Obviously the stronger you are, the easier it is to survive.

The strongest weapon is 毘沙門天の宝塔(Bishamonten's Pagoda), leveled up from 落し物(Lost thing).
It has a whopping 40 base attack, but it is not good for survival, because it uses a portion of Reimu's HP.

The next strongest weapons are 祓串, leveled up from 木の棒(Wooden stick) and メテオリックオンバシラ(Meteoric Onbashira), leveled up from 丸太(Wooden log).
They both have 30 base attack.

丸太 has a chance to break completely when attacking, but it can destroy walls and traps. If you can manage to get 2,000,000 exp. to the orb and level it up to level 5, it will never break.
木の棒 gains a base orb at level 5, which will sometimes activate an attack spell card without using your Ps. Quite useful, but be careful not to attack Rinnosuke.

The strongest shield is the 神守大二重ラセンスキマ(Great Duel Spiral Sukima protected by gods), leveled up from スキマ(Sukima).
It has 30 base defense, but it still breaks when flung at walls.
There is another shield called アンチスパイラル(Anti Sprial) which also comes from the スキマ(Sukima), and it is very tiresome to make it, but it doesn't break.

The almost obvious amulet of choice would be the 博麗アミュレット(Hakurei Amulet). Just put in the orbs and it's done.
For other amulets, 天狗の古地図(Tengu's Old Map) is the best choice you can have. It tells you the locations of enemies and items. You can search for potential MHs or stores.
If you can get hands on the 大輪の向日葵(Large Sunflower) flask item, you can 'mix' some items to make the 四季酒「幻想郷百花繚乱」potion item, which has the 【花】orb.
This orb, when on a amulet, will give Reimu +50HP, +25 stomach, +3 Max Attack, and a chance of strong hit.

For the orbs, it will be good if the weapons have 【必】,【治】,【多】, 【広】.
必中【必】(certain hit) orbs can be found in 草刈り鎌(mowing scythe) weapons, and gives Reimu perfect accuracy with 10% reduced power. Leveling up the orb reduces the penalty.
治癒【治】(heal) orbs can be found in はたきのようなもの(duster-like thing) weapons, and heals Reimu proportional to damage dealt. Leveling up the orb can heal up to 40% of damage dealt.
多段攻撃【多】(multi-hit) orbs can be found in 猿田彦味酒「幻想風靡」(Sarutahiko Sake 「Illusionary Dominance」). It is a result of a long mixing sequence.
It gives Reimu the power to hit multiple times with reduced, like Aya. Leveling up will give you more hits with a bit less power. Lv. 9 needs 6,100,000 exp., but gives a total of 20%*10 hits.
広範囲攻撃 【広】(wide hit) orbs can be found in 妖刀「犬走」(Youkai Sword 「Inubashiri」) weapons. It is made by synthesizing the right orbs in the right order in the right weapon.
If the weapon has this orb, the range will increase to the three tiles in front of Reimu. Leveling up will widen the range to the sides then the back sides.

The shields would have 【地】,【重】,【吸】,【避】
地雷名張 【地】 orbs can be found in 三日月プレート(Cresent Plate) shields, and reduces the explosion damage down to 60% of Reimu's HP. Really important. Or else, stupid luck can kill Reimu easier.
重石【重】(heavy stone) orbs can be found in 漬物石(Pickle Stone) shields, and prevents Reimu from being flung. Its most important function is to block Yuugi from throwing Reimu into traps.
吸血耐性【吸】(anti-blood sucking) orbs can be found in 紅いリボン(Scarlet Ribbon) shields, and prevents Remilia's ability.
回避【避】(dodge) orbs can be found in 触角リボン(Whisker Ribbon) shields, and makes Reimu dodge attacks more often.
変換【変】(change) orbs can be found in 絵本(Picture Book) shields, and changes status to damage. Leveling up will reduce the percentage of damage. Good status will also be counted into damage.

This is all I can think about now. These are written under the assumption that you can bring items to the dungeon.

Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on April 17, 2011, 08:53:45 AM
It adds two new maps.

The first one is 玉兎の修練所 (Jade Rabbit's Training place).
It has 99 floors and is very similar to the the other 99F dungeons.
You can bring items, and you have the options to exit every ten floors.
It doesn't have Kogasa, Youmu, Rin, Hatate, and the store.
All the items are identified.
Very very monotonous, since the style and the BGM is the same on all 99 floors.

The other map is up the 月光城(Moonlight Castle).
Beat it once after the patch to open a new route after 26F.
The next time you reach 26F, you will be given the choice to go up or return.
It is very, very hard and even being level 99 and 999HP won't ensure victory.

It also fixes a few bugs, as always.

The Hakurei Amulet is a type of amulet.
It's base orb is the 拡張【拡】 orb, which gives more orb spaces.
Every Hakurei Amulet has a number after the name in brackets, which shows the number of orb slots available.
It doesn't have a effect by itself, but the fact that you can synthesize many orbs in it is the strong point.
It can be found anywhere, but it is freaking rare, or I'm unlucky.

There is a potion called しあわせになれるくすり(something about happiness, I can't translate) which increases Reimu's level by one.
It is made by mixing specific ingredients. All mixing processes need the 四葉のクローバー(four-leafed clover) mixing material.
四葉のクローバー is randomly dropped by Tewi, which only has a chance to appear when Kaguya activates her special ability.
You can mix either 逆行薬(reverse potion), 煌々液(shiny liquid), or another 四葉のクローバー to make the しあわせになれるくすり potion.
So, in theory, you can drink 98 of this potion to level yourself to level 99.

The 不思議おはぎ(Strange rice ball) food gives Reimu random positive effects when eaten.
One of the possible effects is double exp on the floor. But it also extends to the effect of しあわせになれるくすり, giving you 2 levels per potion.
Bring a few, because it might not show up.

The 蛇と蛙の髪飾り(Hair ornament of snake and frog) amulet, when equipped, makes consumables not disappear when used, but has a chance to destroy the amulet.
Equipping 丸太(Log) weapon and 麦わら帽子(Straw hat) shield with 蛇と蛙の髪飾り creates a resonance effect which lowers the chance of breaking the amulet.

These two items will cut the amount needed to make level 99. You'll need a lot of 蛇と蛙の髪飾り, but it's less rare than the potion.

You'll need 千里眼の大太刀, which is the Level 6 version of 哨戒天狗の刀.
Then you'll have to synthesize 6 orbs in the sword.
妖・盗・狗・破・死・離
妖 can be found in a 陰陽ボール, or more simply, from the 厄除「サーディーンヘッド」spell card
盗 is the tricky part in the process. It is in the 閻魔様の審判帳 amulet.
狗 is in the 鴉天狗の卵 mixing item(the green flask) and the 天狗の古地図 amulet.
破 is in the グネグネした棒 weapon or the 更地「ジャイアントローラー」spell card.
離 is in the 遠離の札 tag.

Kill any enemy with this sword and it will change to 妖刀「犬走」with 【広】as its base orb.

Actually I've never tried this by myself.

The obvious choice would be going through the 玉兎の修練所(Jade Rabbit's Training place) dungeon.
Even going once gives you enough exp to level almost every weapon from level 1 to level 9.

But it is very hard to beat it without strengthened weapons and shields.
I suggest using the 月光城(Moonlight Castle) route to level up your equipments to level 8, then strengthen it to the max, then go through the 玉兎の修練所.
Floor 80 would be sufficient if you killed most of the enemies.
Wearing theしあわせのにんじん(Carrot of Happiness) until 20F, then switching to 天狗の古地図(Tengu's Old Map) seems to be a good strategy.

The ウエハースブレイド(Wafer Blade) is a weapon which has the 限界突破【⑨】(Limit break) orb.
When Reimu reaches MAX Power, she can unleash a powerful attack(instead of usual danmaku) that deals 150 fixed damage, but uses all the power she had.
The 【⑨】 orb levels up at 1,000,000 exp. and 2,000,000 exp. which reduces the power used from 299 to 199, then 99.

I have never tried it yet, so I don't know the attack range.
And it cannot be synthesized into other weapons.

Basically the ones with dangerous abilities should be killed or avoided. Especially the ones that cannot be blocked with equipment.

The first thing that should be killed would be Kogasa. Kill her fast. Very fast.
Then Parsee and Satori. These two are also dangerous.
Then Suika, Iku and Tenshi, the higher leveled ones can attack from very strange angles.
Then Shou and Eirin and Patchouli. You just have to be careful not to be in a straight line.

All of the enemy should be avoided, but some enemies should be more avoided than others.
First of all, Ran. If Ran kicks your equipment into another enemy, it'll be one of the most frustrating situations that can ever happen.
Reisen , Minoriko (-sama and up),  Aya(-san and up), Murasa also have potential to mess up your important items.
Mostly Minoriko and Murasa. Reisen's ability can be avoided by not looking directly to her direction.
Nue and Keine are dangerous when in adjacent tiles.
Others include Patchouli, Shiki, Hina, Medicine, Yamame, Cirno, Youmu.

These are my personal options.

what is the effect of a weapon named  さらさらヘアー?
Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on May 08, 2011, 06:04:02 AM
さらさらヘアー is actually Sanae's hair.
The 風祝【風】(Wind Priestess) orb has the power to make miracles occur, although it does happens rarely.

It can either do one of these.(Same effect as the Trap of Miracles(Sanae's face) )

Increase every enemy's level by one.
Melt every enemy into みず(water)
Double the amount of money.
Reduce the amount of money to zero.
Strengthen equipped weapon and shield by three.
Stops belly reducing while on current floor.
Reduce amount of belly.
Set timer to the first warning(700 steps)
...but nothing happened.
Create Monster House.

It is quite the risky weapon.

I am happy to say that there is.
The 絵本(Picture Book) shield item has the 変換【変】(Conversion) Orb item, which converses status to % damage.
It first deals 50% damage, but when leveled to max, it deals only 10% damage when maxed with 5,000,000 exp.
Just be careful that it also applies to good status, such as haste, drunk, invincible and those stuff.
Watch out for the Prismrivers.

Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on May 14, 2011, 06:23:02 AM
The multi-hit orb is made by a rather complex mixing process.
First of all, you'll need a 調合のスキマ(Sukima of Mixing)
It will be much better if you also have 薬師のフラスコ(Pharmacist's Flask) amulet, which makes Reimu always succeed at mixing.

★大輪の向日葵 and ★鴉天狗の卵 are the flask items that are only dropped by Yuka and Aya respectively.
☆ are the flask items.

The last item will have the 多段攻撃【多】orb. Synthesis it into フラフープ(Hula-hoop) weapon to level it up.
You'll need
25,000, 75,000, 175,000, 300,000, 550,000, 1,100,000, 3,100,000, 6,100,000
exp. to level it up.
The resonance of 麦わら帽子 and フラフープ will give you double exp for the orbs, though.

Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread

センジュナマコ(Senjunamako) is an AQUASTYLE original character.
It is based on a sea cucumber.

In this game, it only appears in special Monster Houses, which only appears on 80F and up on the 不思議の古井戸 and 不思議な亜空間  99F dungeons.
They have 3HP and receives only 1 damage per hit, like Reimu-heads, but they give 705 exp.

aside as storage and syntesis, what is the use of other sukima?
Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on May 15, 2011, 05:14:59 AM
Every sukima has a number in the [ ], which tells you how many space it has left or how many usage is left.

心のスキマ
When a thing is put into this sukima, it will heal HP and status.
With the last use, Reimu will get sleep status.
A real lifesaver.

換金のスキマ
When broken, money will come out based on how many items Reimu put in. Normally useless crap.

抜穴のスキマ
When used, Reimu will be teleported to another 抜穴のスキマ on the floor. If there isn't any, you waste a turn.

保存のスキマ
This is a sukima for storage.(Kanji means 'protection'). Reimu can freely put in or take out items from the sukima.
It protects rice balls from traps and Yuyuko, and protects tags from burning.
It gives you more slots for items, so it is important.

スキマシェルター
Hides Reimu in the sukima for a few turns. The sukima disappears after usage. Binds enemies when thrown at.

識別のスキマ
Identifies items that are put in. For the 99F dungeons.

変化のスキマ
Changes items that are put in. Normally useless crap.

スペアスキマ
Can take out items from other sukima. Very useful.

魍魎のスキマ
Summons 1~4 enemies beside you. Same effects as Summon Trap(Komachi)

吸い寄せのスキマ
Sucks a item that is in the direction you are facing. Normally useless crap.

強化のスキマ
Strengthens weapons, shields, and tags that are put in when Reimu goes down a floor.
Only available in 99F dungeons.

弱化のスキマ
Weakens  weapons, shields, and tags that are put in when Reimu goes down a floor.
Only available in 99F dungeons.

調合のスキマ
For mixing flask items and potion items. Reimu can freely take out items in this sukima

消化のスキマ
When broken by thrown into a wall, the orbs that was in the item will come out.

素材のスキマ
You can take out flask items that were left in the shrine. Infinite usage, I think.

what enemy give the most exp in this game?
Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on May 21, 2011, 09:19:36 AM
The bosses would give more exp., but I would assume it would be a normal enemy.
In the もっと!?不思議の幻想郷 1.10 version
Big Kisume : 7777
Big Byakuren : 7630
Big Yuuka : 7500
Big Iku : 6000
Big Sakuya : 5200
Big Youmu : 4560

Kisume has no special abilities, so Reimu can kill it with no damage when using anything that induces slow status.
鈍速薬(Slow Potion) and 低速の札(Slow Tag) can be used, but it is quite useful to keep in mind that 毒薬(Poison) can be also be used.
She has a lot of HP, though.

Byakuren has the annoying ability to cancel slow status with Superhuman "Hijiri Byakuren", so using the 無能の札 is highly recommended.

Yuuka has a dangerous ability to counter any attack if Reimu is in a adjacent tile, so I wouldn't recommended it.

Iku has the dangerous ability to cause thunder if Reimu is in the same room.
The thunder causes 50 damage and inflicts Bind status, which forbids Reimu from moving before someone attacks Reimu.
Iku also dodges every normal attack, so it is highly unrecommended, if there is such a word.

Sakuya has the ability to teleport behind Reimu when Reimu is beside an enemy.
She can also use Sakuya's World to deal a delayed 60 damage attack. She is highly accessible(Gensokyo Route 3F~4F)

Youmu has the ability to deal defense-ignoring damage, and it would be about 100 damage, so try not to be attacked. Only slow is needed.

These are special types of Monster Houses.
They are random, and very rare.

which orb is good for defense?
Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on May 28, 2011, 04:08:43 PM
Good for defense? You can check out the "Best equipment for survival" thing I wrote.

Other than that, there is the 小食【小】orb, which reduces the reduction rate of belly.
Lv. 5 will make belly reduce 1 per 33 steps, opposed to 1 per 10 steps.

There is the 軽減【減】orb that can be found in さとりの目(Satori's eye) shield , level 5 of こいしの目(Koishi's eye).
The orb reduces fixed damage attacks up to 50%.
Only thing is, it cannot be synthesized into other shields, and the こいしの目 shield has crappy stats.

防御力増加【防】can be found in the 硬化「幸御魂」spell card.
It can be synthesized into any equipment, and gives +3 to the base defense of the shield.
Although I would synthesize 攻撃力増加【攻】(gives +3 to base attack)

And something unrelated, Reimu's attack power.

Reimu's attack power is primarily determined by equipment and level and ちから(Power), but there are other things that determine attack power.

Reimu's attack will increase when she has more than 5000 yen, and even more at 10000 yen.
The jump is on a scale that cannot be ignored, so try to keep more than 10000 yen if possible.

Belly(満腹度) is also important.
50 and less will reduce Reimu's attack, and even more at 40 and 20.
Reimu will get a damage boost if over 120.
Reimu will get a damage boost when in starvation status.(blinking screen, HP loss per turn, 0 belly)

Reimu's damage will increase if multiple enemies are surrounding Reimu..

Reimu's damage will decrease a bit when in corridors, and will halve when standing on the stairs.

Reimu gets a damage boost when the HP bar is blinking(less than 33% MAX?)

These are not too important, but it's useful to know.

Feel free to ask multiple questions at once, and you don't have to wait for my reply, because I am busy during the week.

I hear the game is hard to hack to English though?
Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on June 04, 2011, 06:52:47 AM
麦わら帽子 can level any orb that has been synthesized first.
The first orb that was synthesized becomes the base orb.
The other orbs won't  level up, though.

Narzin's ability makes a digging spot right beneath her.
Rarer items come out when the orb level is higher.

低速の札(Slow) is the most useful for 1-on-1 fights with a strong(very strong) enemy.
囮の札 (Bait) can turn a enemy into a fake Reimu. Other enemies will go for the bait. Of course, the enemy who killed the bait will level up.
遠離の札 (Blow) blows away an enemy 10 tiles. It's useful for synthesizing with Nitori.
無能の札 is always useful when a enemy annoys you with abilities.
呪詛返しの札 passes on status ailments onto an enemy, so it's useful for healing status aliments.
Always remember that Nitori can synthesize tags, too.

I wouldn't know, but I think someone said that it is easier than 東方蒼神縁起 (The Genius of Sappheiros)

Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on June 04, 2011, 10:53:58 AM
No, the 熱線【熱】 increases chance of countering. The power of 'Master Spark' only relies on Reimu's attack.
Murasa and Nitori's shield and weapon doesn't have any abilities on it's own, and need the weapon counterpart to create a resonance effect.

Murasa's equipment has a resonance effect that lets you go down 2 floors instead of 1 floor by using 水没「オッツダルヴァ」beside a water tile.
You still lose a item, though

Nitori's equipment has a resonance effect that randomly Optical Camouflages Reimu for a  few turns.
Unreliable, but sometimes helps.

Because of laziness, I will only list the ones that gives only positive effects.(Won't list disappearing amulets)

お守り「家内安全」 沈静【沈】: Immune to Confusion(doesn't block Hypnotize)
お守り「合格祈願」 不眠【眠】: Immune to Sleep
お守り「無病息災」 抗体【抗】: Immune to loss of ちから(Power) due to poison
薬師のフラスコ         調合【調】: Will always succeed at Mixing
メイド長の懐中時計 小食【小】: Reduces Reduction rate of Belly to 17step/belly
額烏帽子                     増量【増】: Gives 10% more belly to anything Reimu eats.(Beware of amulets with 大食【大】)
天狗の古地図             地図【地】: Tells location of enemies and items on the map
天狗の念写機             念写【念】: Identifies items randomly
しあわせのにんじん 幸福【幸】: +1 exp per step. Won't level up equipment and orbs.
エア巻物                     節約【節】: Reduces usage of Ps (1 | 3 | 5 | 5 )->(1 | 2 | 3 | 3)
ミニ八卦炉                 八卦【八】: Doubles damage of  tags, and spell cards

EDIT : Oops, ミニ八卦炉 doesn't double damage of danmaku. Sorry.

Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on June 06, 2011, 09:54:36 AM
A resonance effect happens when Reimu equips the right equipments.
Most of them need 2 matching equipments, but some resonance effects need 3 matching equipments.
The equipments usually have something in common.
Not all resonance effects benefit Reimu, though.
The effects differ from set to set.

which potion that give benefit to reimu?
Title: Re: (c79) motto!? fushigi no gensokyo: under the moonlight discussion thread
Post by: Sungho on June 12, 2011, 06:59:25 AM
That is a rather vague question.
Potions can be either drunk, thrown at an enemy, mixed with other materials, or be synthesized.
Even potions with useless effects can be mixed with some other material to make あぶない薬(Dangerous Potion), which can be mixed with the majority of other potions.

For the sake of simplicity, I will only list the ones with positive effects when drunk.

Purple Potions
緑茶(Green tea) :  HP +20
玉露(Refined green tea) :  HP +100
どくだみ茶(Houstonia tea) : maxHP+5
解毒薬(Antidote) : Restores power to max
ちからの薬(Power potion): +1 power, +1 maxpower
しあわせになれるくすり(Potion of happiness) : +1 Lv.
怪力薬 : Gives 怪力 status for a few turns.
無敵薬(Potion of invincibility) : Gives 無敵 status for 30 turns.
目薬(Eyedrop) : Able to see traps and Nitori
加速薬(Haste Potion) : Gives 加速 status for 20 turns
P缶(P can) : +25 P

Yellow Potions
秘蔵酒「酒呑童子」: High chance of critical hit for 20 turns
