Thread all about the nicknames you give to our beloved Touhou characters! Feel free to share them all here.
Mine range from relevant things like "Boat" for Futo to the politically incorrect or overly stereotypical titles like "Obama" for Kokoro and "Dinkum Aussie" for Seija to the completely irrelevant a la "Nimitz" for Seiga Kaku.
What are yours? :derp:
-
Sanae "ALL YOUR FAITH ARE BELONG TO US" Kochiya. Other than that, I couldn't remember Kyouko's name at first and just called her "yamabiko". The more usual ones I frequently use are Okuu, Tenko (for Tenshi) and short forms for Yuyu, Remi, Patchy and Flan.
-

Huh? Oh. OOH because she had a mask of Hope, but lost it? That's not politically incorrect; that's fairly clever.
And yes, I do have a few nicknames for the 2hus, usually said to the monitor in-game:
Reimu: Ray-Ray
Marisa: Motorcycle Mama
Alice: Allentown, Pennsylvania
Cirno: Lil' G
Aya: Edward R. Murrow
Sanae: Psychobetabuckdown (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esMfOTJnd9U)
Kaguya: Moonpie
Eirin: Hellooooooo, nurse!
Seija: Jimmy
-
I give nicknames based on their abilities.
Reimu : Miss Fly
Marisa : Miss Magic
Rumia : Miss Dark
Cirno : Miss Freeze
Daiyousei : Miss Big (technically don't have an ability, but I give her nickname based on their name meaning)
Meiling : Miss Qi/Life Force
Koakuma : Miss Little (same as daiyousei)
Patchouli : Miss Element
Sakuya : Miss Time
Remilia : Miss Fate
Flandre : Miss Destruction.... and so forth
-
Sorry if this action is considered immoral, but please have a mostly complete list of mostly completely irrelevant titles I give to Touhou characters:
Aya: Merasmus
Momiji: Ol' Nick
Ichirin: Orin
Satori: Jiang Shi
Raiko: Michael Jackson
Koishi: Hsien Ko
Shinmyoumaru: Abraham Lincoln
Tojiko: Jade Stern
Sanae: Mima

Cirno: Get out of the way
Lyrica: Lyrical Lyric
-
I have called Reimu Rei-Rei in shipping related shennanigains before, as well as Yu-chan for Yukari (doesn't matter who either are shipped with...same thing applies). Most of my more evil nicknames tend to come about when I play Touhoumon, though. Like...
Mystia=KFC
Marisa=Klepto
Chiyuri=Chair-chan
Rikako=Science!!!
Seiga=Stalker
-
For a while I couldn't remember Iku's name and just called her by her theme's name, "Legendary Fish".
-
Oooh, I have a few:
Reimu: Raymew, Raymoo, Reims
Koishi: Koi Koi, Koish, Koishes, the Koish
Yuuka: Yuuks
Yuyuko: Yuyuks, Yuyu
Youmu: Youms
Parsee: Paru
-
Aya: Crow or Stupid Reporter
Komachi: The Character no one Plays as
Remilia: Vladimir Tepes
Parsee: Jealousy (I can never remember her name)
Kaguya: Tasukete
Murasa: Captain Crunch
Tsukumo sisters: Instruments
Suika: Holy Cow
Tenshi: Angel
Reisen: Miku (Alternate color in SWR)
-
Komachi: The Character no one Plays as
Is that so? Poor shinigami...
By the way, I do call her that sometimes.
-
Rumia: RumiRumi
Reimu: Ray-Moo the Laser Cow
-
Some of the more unusual ones I've developed over the years:
Sanae: Diimo
This came out of an RPG battle system I was working on; it was inspired by the spellcard system, so naturally I used Touhou characters while testing it. Sanae's ult was a (literal) godbuff called Divine Mortal's Blessing.
Alice: Petrushka (Petra for short)
Ripped straight from a manga (Gunslinger Girl), which itself stole it directly from a Russian ballet, which, as I understand it, is a lot like Pinocchio.
Mokou: Volx
I was mad for a while that I didn't have a nickname for Mokou, so one day I sat down and straight up crafted one. I ended up melding Volcano with Phlox, the Greek root for "flame." A very firey name, indeed.
Yuuka: Yuudorable
Vitamin Rice has a series of doujins starring Noukarin (Nouka ("farmer") + Yuukarin), who is the polar opposite of the typical fanon Yuuka portrayal. One of the splash images in the first book ("Daisuki Noukarin") was just so amazingly adorable, it demanded a new word to describe just how adorable it was. To date, only the flower master herself has proven worthy of the description.
I'm also fond of several common Japanese nicknames, such as Teruyo (born out of an alternate reading for the kanji in Kaguya's name) and Nezumin (Nezumi ("mouse") + Nazrin)
-
I tend to use their actual names but here are some I personally use.
Reimu - Laymoo
Flandre - Frandle (rhymes with handle)
Lily - HEY YOUS GUYS IT'S SPRING HOLY SHIT YOUS GUYS DANMAKU SPRING SPRING (etc.)
Eirin - Dr. Boobs
Tenshi - Peachbottom
Utsuho - Big Booby Bird
Nazrin - Nazy
Kanako - Kanockers
Suwako - Sowacky
Wakasagihime - Wacky Sacky
...I'm not very clever and mentally 13.
Alice: Petrushka (Petra for short)

I got the reference! I love Stravinsky.
Alice: Allentown, Pennsylvania
I must know the connection here.
-
Nazrin - Nazy
I remember my friend used to call her Nazi.
-
I remember my friend used to call her Nazi.
Heh thpught it's pronounced Nah-Zee
I was contemplating spelling it "Nazi" but spelling implications. That or "Nazie".
-
Alice: Allentown, Pennsylvania
I must know the connection here.
Both begin with "Al-", and Alice as a character reminds me of the town (lived there for a few years): obstinate, but for the most part likes to keep to themselves, doing their own thing, even if there isn't as much to do anymore.

I go there about once a month to visit friends and that pretty much describes Bethlehem Allentown.
-
Keine - Keiners
It started as a joke I was going to work in, but couldn't figure out. But I liked the name, so I kept calling her that.
Parsee - Percy
I like trains.
Yuugi - Yuugs
From YuGiOh.
Yorihime - The Wild Card
With Spell Cards and having full access to the Shinto Parthenon, she reminds me a Wild Card user from Persona.
Daiyousei - Daisy
It's a flower.
Marisa - Laserbutt
Laserbutt is fun to say.
-
Letty - Letti
Similar to "Sirkku" for Cirno, even if letti isn't an actual word (it means "braid")
Benben and Yatsuhashi - Lute and Kantele
The former is a clear connection. Kantele is a traditional Finnish instrument what is similar to koto and other such instruments.

When I first saw those two, I called them Bandura and Gusli. It's basically the slavic equivalent of the above.
-
Parsee: Parsley
Koishi: Kosher
-
Yorihime - The Wild Card
With Spell Cards and having full access to the Shinto Parthenon, she reminds me a Wild Card user from Persona.
BTW, it's "Pantheon" (all gods) not "Parthenon."
-
besides the basic shortened forms and such, I've developed a habit of calling Youmu and Koishi "Yams" and "Koifish". At this point I don't even remember why.
-
Earth Bunnies - Teis
Because they are mass bred Tewi.
Tewi - TEWUMI!
A mix of Tewi and Terumi (as in, Yuuki Terumi from BlazBlue) when I don't like Tewi's behaviour. Yes, yelling her name out is mandatory.
-
Sanae: Fruits(warau)
-
Reimu: Moo moo
Cirno: Icee
Mystia: Fujiwara fried bird
Suika: Shake
Iku: Fever
-
Eh; not so much nicknames since I don't actually use them that often and these are generally bad but whatever:
Elly - Apple
Kogasa - Kara [Short for Karakasa ofc]
Rika - Engi; Three Eyes [Evil Eye Sigma inclusive]
Rumia - Shade
Raiko - Gensokyo Raikaria
Yukari - Gap Hag
Shinki - Silver Devil
Yuuka - Sunflower
Cirno - Brainfrozen
And yes; I associate 'Engi' with Rika and not Nitori. Because Rika is almost always depicted with a wrench/spanner like the Engi in TF2. Nitori is not.
-
Mugetsu - Mugi
Meirin - True last boss of Touhou
Wriggle - Wriggu
Reisen -Raisin
Kaguya - Kags
Sanae - Sanny
Suwako - Swackers/Suwackers
Kitsune - Bucket loli
Orin - Nindel
Futo - Futa (I'm sorry ;_;)
Mermaid - Wackysacky
Kagerou - Awoooo!
Yatsuhashi - Recliner-chan
Sukuna - Bowl loli
Some other shortenings too (Remi, Seki, Flan, Patchy, Yuyu, etc)
Flandre - Frandle (rhymes with handle)
Oh right, this one too. Frandle Scalret. I got it from this car (http://i.imgur.com/Jd7xNeE.jpg).

Hieda no Akyuu:
Aky-chan
Hi-hi.
-

That reminds me of the nicknames I gave the Aki sisters, who I completely forgot about.
I call 'em Grape Hat and Leaf Head cause I don't know which one is which.

After grinding my fist on Mokou's face for the first time yesterday, from now on she will be known as Yakitori by me. Never thought I'd be giving her names, but this is something that sounds good when screamed in rage.
