Meh, I always thought that was a common trait amongst all Celestials. Being enlightened humans and all, they probably had to suffer through pain to get where they are or something, and so ended up learning to love it. Or something. But hey, it's not like there isn't such thing as a dominant masochist, so...

I am amused by how divergent those three designs are. I know that the Slaves one is probably going to end up being canonical, but there are aspects of all three that I like.
