> "Hmph."  Alice makes a small noise of agreement.
> You take the left door first.
> Sitting at the center of the floor here is a large metal cauldron, too heavy for even the water to lift off the ground.  Corked vials, beakers, and other containers float freely, while the shelves are too cluttered to allow as much movement.  There's a worn-looking wooden desk crammed between the shelves, complete with a chair that has pillows and cushions tied to it.  Spread across the floor is a large rug.

> "Just the hem of your sleeve," Alice says, "And a lot of water."

> "Oh, thank goodness," Alice says, sounding exasperated and relieved at the same time.
> You float into the room and have a look around.  All of the bottles, you find, have been labeled.  Unfortunately, the water has ruined any chances of reading them, and you will only be able to guess their contents.  The inside of the cauldron is clean, with the exception of some crusted over substances that look like chalk: most likely past potions.  You look into the desk drawers and find them stuffed with papers and books.  The top of the desk has been worn down with age, and some drawings and magic circles have even been carved into them.

> You resume checking the shelves.  So far, you've found an array of papers, folders, and books.  Every now and then you find a pencil, brush, or a stray quill.  Then you start finding random trinkets: bits of string, feathers, ink wells, scraps of fabric and beads.  You don't find anything resembling jewelry or gems in here.

> You open the door and find yet another cluttered room.  A large bed covered with a thick comforter and lots of pillows takes up most of the space here.  A few lamps float in the water above the dresser, which has a few photo frames on it.  Stuffed animals litter an alcove by the window.  Shoes, laundry, and even broomsticks hover in place as fish swim among them aimlessly.  As you enter the room, a spare witch's hat hits you in the face.

> You head over to Marisa's dresser and proceed to root through it.  You are greeted by a menagerie of blouses, skirts, aprons, and every other type of garment stuffed into the drawers.  It is a far cry from Alice's perfectly arranged closet.
