Good day to all!
I got bored one day and decide to rename my Touhou folder:
[attach=1]
So I'm curious, anyone also names their folders in fabulous manners? If you haven't, you can do it today!
-
Plain old "Touhou" for me.
-
What's with all the censored stuff. PR0N?
-
my name
-
I name like so
PC-98
紅魔郷
妖々夢
萃夢想
永夜抄
花映塚
文化帖
風神録
緋想天
地霊殿
星連船
非想天則
スポイラー
妖精大戦争
神霊廟
AlcoholShooting
V-sync Patches
弾幕風
東方弾幕風ph3
I realize I named my Double Spoiler folder just "Spoiler", but I like it, so that was what I originally stuck with and still have it as now.
Also, I liked to have my Danmakufu ph3 folder separate from my Danmakufu v0.12m folder, so there are two Danmakufu folders, etc.

C:Touhou<the games' acronyms> for me.
-
I don't do anything strange with the folders containing the games, but I stuff my links in a folder in the desktop labeled "All the Marisas."
-
F: Each Game's Individual Folders with Japanese
Transliterated Name Romanized Name
...that's about it.
-
Games would have been in; Jermod Works -> Dimensional Transfer Station Sigma -> Touhou Shit
Images: Jermod Works -> Jermod's Secret Vault Beta
-
Phineas T. Higgenbotham.
-
Since this compy is shared with my family, it's simply "blah", individual games are acronym'd
-
"Archivos de Paz" (Paz'archives)
-
D:\Touhou\
The name of the folders for each game are th06, th07, th07.5, th08, and so on. Pretty simple.
-
I keep two folders for each game: one original and unpatched and other updated and patched for playing, though I just played from the 6th to 11th until now.

Not sure what you are expecting. "Loli craving relief"? >=P
I got a games folder... for the commercial games.
"Touhou" For you know what
"Touhou stuff" For the non-zun Touhou games.
"Non-Touhou doujin games" for..it's obvious.
I don't collect doujin anime/manga/art/whatever so.. yeah, it's all games.

C:Touhou<the games' acronyms> for me.
But but but
SOKU
How would you acronym that!?

Looking at this thread makes me wanna rename my folders... Will update post with new titles for everything since I never changed most titles of them, and my changes are boring. (S.A. Demo, for example.)
Main Folder (For demos): Girls Are Preparing Demos
Subfolders:
-7.5 Drunkard's Festival Demo
-8 Gonna Be a Long Night Demo
-10 Croaking Frog Eaten by Demo
-10.5 Celestial Weather Phenomenon Demo
-11 Nuclear Fusion Demo
-12 Legendary Flying Demo
-13 DJ Youkai Demo
No change in my PCB full version(Only one I own)'s folder, but that's gonna stay that way, 'cept I might do the English name for it instead of the default Kanji or whatever.
-
Since I only play the PC98 games, I don't really have a folder for Touhou games. But I would probably just name it Touhou and give the folders of the individual games their number and English name (like "7 - Perfect Cherry Blossom").
I do have a folder for Touhou pictures (of which I have quite many) and many, many, many subfolders for individual characters, certain ships and certain groups and one for Doujinshi.
-
C:Program FilesTouhou ## <Insert Name Here>
Is how all of mine are.

I uninterestingly use the default installation path & folder name for anything I install...except, well, padding those below th10 with a zero to align them nicely, like Watermelonz's. Everything goes to Program Files folder, just for me liking consistencies.
The part where I get a bit sort-creative though is in their shortcuts.
Normally, in Win98, I rename them to, for example, "TH07 Youyoumu ~Perfect Cherry Blossom~", then its respective "th07 config" in their dedicated "config" folder. With our system being WinXP now, implying it can now read Unicode characters, I name it in the same format, except the English being their Japanese equivalent, if applicable.
I like the numbering prefixed instead of eliminated for easy sorting. It also serves as some kind of progress-tracking device, tracking how much games of the series this one-man developer has accomplished already. =w=
-
Program Files(x86). There's a bunch of other stuff in there, too, but whatever. :P
In other words, I don't have a folder dedicated to the games. They're all separate.
-
I guess I'm unoriginal.
Games/Touhou/Touhou # - Name
Games/Touhou/Touhou 6 - Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, for example.
And I also use 12.3 - Unthinkable Natural Law. I know, right? Shuuuuuuuuuuun.
-
I stick my TH folder (conveniently named Touhou Project) on an SD card since I tend to transfer data between my systems often.
Basically, 0## - <acronym> for Windows Games (sans HSTS, which I just spelled it all out). PC98 is all collectively stored in a PC98 directory. Also have directories for a few fangames (or their demos) and two for MIDIs (one official, one fan-made).
Touhou GTA data is stored in a Steam folder due to my having the Steam version of the game (albeit downgraded fully to a mod-able version).
I also collect music, but that's on another drive entirely.

My Touhou games (Official or otherwise) are scattered throughout my Program Files folder. However I group them under "Touhou' in my Steam games library with their names as "Touhou xx ~ *Full name*"
And yes... I'm guilty of using UNL and am not patricilarly proud of it :ohdear:
-
I don't bother to rename them from whatever the name is when it installs itself from the CD, to be honest. BV

I don't worry about what the folders are named when I have these handy shortcuts.
-
Someone told me their folders are named nyan06, nyan07, etc.
I don't want to live on this side of the border anymore.
I don't worry about what the folders are named when I have these handy shortcuts.
That reminds me, I gotta fix the shortcuts I have because I dragged away my Touhous from my Program Files folder.
-
what folders? ???
-
So now, I just have them all in one folder called "The Touhous."

So now, I just have them all in one folder called "The Touhous."
Episode 1 : The Beginning
-
Yeah, my folder's called "Touhou".
Unless of course you mean the images folder, in which case I've decided to call it "Touhou".
With a subfolder for each character plus a few others, and a few several hundred images just tossed on the main folder because for my first months of touhoutardness I didn't really know how deep one can go into this :derp:
-
C:UsersBrianDesktopTouhou Games<Whatever>
Everything else just go to Documents.
-
Simply "Touhou".
-
Was originally going for random letters, but I figured I'd get confused myself eventually. So I just have your average "Touhou" megafile along with my abundance of other files. Not a biggie.
-
home is D:\Touhou Project\
folders are in the format TH<number> - <English name>
For me, the place to get funny is on the records screen inside each game: (Armpit, Thief, Pad-chief, Uu~!, etc)
-

I don't worry about what the folders are named when I have these handy shortcuts.
looks exactly like mine
-
C:/folder/dem doho geamz/
east[number goes here]
Nothing too complicated.
-
D:\Touhou\thxx, where xx = number
-
"Touhou" I am unoriginal
I have the folder of Touhou in my "private folder"
In the Touhou folder there are two sub-folders
One is called "Games" and the other "Img".
In "Games" save games, obviously.
In "Img" pictures.
-
In a folder called PC games, with folders being named "6" for EOSD, "7" for PCB, "8" for IN etc.
I use shortcuts to get to them now, all named respectively "th06" "th07" "th08" etc.
-
For the PC-98 games: C:\PC-98
Most Windows games are in C:\thxx, where xx is the game number. The exceptions are EoSD, which I put in C:\Touhou 06 The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, and GFW, which I put in C:\Touhou 12.8.
-
Boring me is boring, so
N:\Touhou\06, etc.
(N: being my external HDD.)
At least it's easy to type.
-
It's just 'Touhou', with the folder icon being TD's icon.
-
Touhou, and it's sitting on my desktop.
Inside the folder I stick everything related to Touhou on my laptop, including the games themselves, music files, replays that I need to remember to watch/record+upload, a shortcut to the ShanghaiAlice users folder for easy access to 12.5+ replays, images, pokemon cards of Touhou characters, and various random text files I made at some point.
The games folder is then sorted by genre, with Bullet Hell, Fighting, Platform and Other. Inside the Bullet Hell and Platform folders is just a folder with the game name which has all the required files there. The exceptions are the PC-98 games, which are in a folder called "PC-98 games with Emulator", and danmakufu, which is in the th_dnh folder because I couldn't be bothered to rename it.
-
I just use my music folder. because touhou music is all that's in there
-
I just have their full names typed out (Imperishable Night, Mountain of Faith, Subterrean Animism, etc.)
Though, for some reason Immaterial and Missing Power is the only one that's just abbreviated.
-
My games are TH##, nothing spiffy. My image folder is called Pretty Magical Shooters (PMS) and it has unsorted images and three folders named "ZE!" "Logs" and "Hax." No prizes for guess who is in those. Except for "Hax" that could be a number of characters, but it's me. I'm also thinking of making a folder for Shou called "Stipey."
-
I have to have separate folders for everything. TouhouGames, TouhouMusic, TouhouPictures....only thing that doesn't have a folder is videos. And then everything is in a single Touhou folder.
-
Pretty Magical Shooters
It's better than what I have, at least, and I don't even have a very large images folder. :<
(Ok, it's just a bunch of screenshots, but...)
-
Mine's just touhou
Someone told me their folders are named nyan06, nyan07, etc.
Lol SA
