The trick, my friend, is mindf*ckery. If something leaves someone put off, that's no good . . . you have to completely weird them the hell out. It's the difference between watching a train wreck and watching Evangelion -- you can't look away from the former because it's just too awful, but the latter you can't look away from because it's busy having its way with your subconscious mind through your eyeballs.
