I don't know if this thread will take off or not, but it would be really cool if it does.
Basically you post a theoretical game that you don't know about, one that you'd like to try that maybe other people know about, and you try your best to make suggestions to other similar posts >=P. The game can be Doujin or not, or even Touhou-related.
One game that I thought was pretty cool was Metal Marines for the SNES. If you haven't played it it's kind of like Battleship (The board game) on crack. You have an island, and you construct buildings on it, minefields, economy boosters, StS missles, AA missles, bunkers , etc. And you launch attacks at the enemy each turn, you can choose to launch missles, or you can launch a plane with up to 3 "metal marines". The missles cause large immediate damage at minimal cost, but are shot down easily by nearby aa sites (you have to try to shoot them so they hit something valuable, while not flying over the path of AA installations), and the marines are expensive, and don't really get shot down by AA, but will have to deal with bunkers, minefields, and enemy marine barracks before damaging anything else (if they still have time to).
So, if anybody knows of any game similar to Metal Marines, lemmie know about it >=)
