Yeah, anyone already aware of their titan-ness is probably trouble, but the existence of a bunch of them indicates that they're not unique, and Eren didn't know about his for a couple of years at least. Maybe Irvin knows that there's something fishy going on with Eren's father and that gives him reason to suspect that there aren't more unknowing titans in his ranks just waiting for their powers to be triggered, but that doesn't seem like that crazy of a bet at this point. I'm surprised he or Hanji hasn't already started jabbing Mikasa with sharp things trying to make her transform.

I guess at this point though it's clear that all of the opposing titan people have a crazy hard-on for capturing Eren for some reason, which suggests that there's something about him that makes it worth expending tons of resources repeatedly to rescue him.

Yeah, I think they straight-up confirm this. I do wonder if they suspected it before, but if they didn't it might imply that there are even more of them lying around who could be potential candidates. Or maybe not, I don't know how it's supposed to work.
