Have at least 3 supports, for gameplay reasons. Gives you more options for a place in somebody's regular lineup. 5 should really be the max for non-Lords. (Lords get extra because you're forced to use them, so they're given more options).

There are, however, exceptions.

11 non-lords get 7 support options.

I don't really mean to be presumptive about the number of supports I get. I made that list assuming I would have to drop a few of them.

The way the topic looks, it sounds like everyone is yelling at nobody in general about something everybody agrees on, and I'm the one who asked the question, so I guess I'm sorry?

For storyline purposes, Esifex is only interested in Supporting with other casters. All discussions should start out as rather left-field, confusing the shit out of the other caster, but by the third support, Esifex would be more receptive to things that could be mentioned in other supports (for example, the merits of cooking being discussed with the other characters... Esifex would mention something along the lines that 'having a hobby, like cooking, could be good for a foundation in reality.')

All of Esifex's supports conclude with a more stable-minded conversation with Esifex. If Esifex is present during the final battle, her quote should be something along the lines of, "Everything exists. When they stop existing, though... that's different." Vague and makes no sense out of context. Her mind is screwed up like that.

Death quote will be 'My foundation in reality... it's crumbling...'

Otherwise, pick 'n' choose who my supports are. I'm really not that picky.

I'm already at 6 supports, so would it be alright if I was one of the 11? I was going to hold off on my last slot in case we need to shuffle supports around later on for balance issues or if someone is low on supports.

You could always be a Noble Villian. I don't get the feeling these types of games are so black and white anyway.

Unless you're talking FE8's Arena Mode, that allows for two people to go head-to-head with their best teams.
